After waiting 20 min to place my order I get the window hear the co workers gossiping about a complain about them and now I see why. They messed up my husbands order put cabbage in the burrito after we asked for none. Then in Spanish they said did u make it right if not so I can take it back supposedly they did. We park and check it since I do speak Spanish and they assumed I didn’t, turns out the order was wrong they re make it I get home to eat my torta and I open it to add salsa only to find A HAIRINTHEIR! Waste of money

Every time I go here I always order tacos de pollo and each time it’s always on point. I’ve never had a bad experience. Sure there are times when you might have to wait 5 – 10 minutes but I’ve never cared about the wait because I knew my tacos would be worth it.

Good tacos… but be prepared for a wait. very long car lines can mean at least fifteen minute wait

Same review as across the street. You get what you pay for. Cheap tacos. Shit any thing with enough chile on it will taste good. If your hungry and you have $ 5 you can get 4 tacos and soda. It’s ok but the reviews are over rated. Cheep food means cheap meat. No where to sit, cheap plates they drizzle every where. They get one star extra, they have a very heavy garlic flavored tamale, it has slices of jalapeño, and a potato. It’s very spicy but I like unique food like that.

Want to know what’s rarer than a Bugatti Veyron, Picasso original or an albino tiger? A 5-star review from yours truly. They just don’t happen, cause I always see room for improvement. But Al’s Rico’s Tacos is about as good as it gets. Yes, there are better tasting tacos out there. Yes, it is in the hood, there is nowhere to sit, and at times the line can get ridiculous, but that’s how you know you’re at a good hole in the wall. The more affluent crowd would not be caught dead driving down this street, let alone stopping for a bite, but you are truly missing out. 2 tacos for $ 1.25 is the best deal around. Tonight, there were up to 8 cars in the drive through, when Lola’s across the street had 3 max, if any. The Al’s Rico’s vs Lola’s debate will go on forever, and they each have their strengths, but Al’s owns the tacos.

This was absolutely disgusting. There were hairs in absolutely everything. Like you would have thought someone had just got a hair cut and let it fall into all the meat. We ordered tacos, tortas and nachos. And we ate half the food before we even noticed because you couldn’t see it under the lettuce and sour cream and stuff at first. It’s not like it was in just one taco. We found hairs in everything. Made me throw up after I saw it all. Please if you eat here look before you eat.

Way better than across the street. Salsa is good i got some extras and took them like jello shots. The best part is at the end all the lemon left over chile and grease on the plate drink it up I call it Angels piss

I absolutely love this place. Are they the best tacos I’ve ever had? No, but they are still pretty darn good and at 2 for $ 1.25, you can’t beat it. I prefer the adobada, but the carne asada and chicken are pretty good too. The tacos are definitely the best deal, but the other stuff is good too. My wife loves to get the combo plate(2 tacos w/beans & rice). I’ve had the carne asada burrito a few times and it was pretty good. The breakfast burrito was just ok though and I probably would not get it again. They used to make sopes, but the last few times I went in, they weren’t available. Perhaps they were dropped it from their menu, Those were awesome. They make really good tamales and they are like $ 1.09 each. We love their tostadas and vampiros too. I really love everything here. The only draw backs are that they get really busy so the line can take forever sometimes. When the line is very long, I go across the street to their walk-in location. As this one serves as the kitchen for the shack, the tacos are even cheaper here(10 for 5 $). It’s still Al’s Rico Tacos. The other problem is that I have been overcharged on many different occasions. This is more likely to happen when the orders are larger and when the line is busier. The more tacos that you order, the more likely they are to overcharge.

This place is my go to for Rico’s tacos! Has only gone up 25cents for two tacos in 20years.

I Peeked into their taco making hut to see what was going on and the pots they cook with look like weeks old grease and crud on the pots and pans– one of the locations was actually closed for a few days for cleaning. The main problem I have with the food is that that Asada meat is so «juicy» that the tortilla gets super soggy. I don’t want crunchy shells, I want the shells medium crispy– soft but with a little crunch(just not soggy) — the lady said to leave the tortilla on the grill a few seconds longer(medium crispy) will cost $ 1 extra per taco — so $ 3.50 for two tacos. No thanks– they used to do it for free but no anymore. I already know at least 6 – 7 people that stopped going since they started charging for medium crispy. And if you go to any other Mexican restaurants, ask the tortilla medium crispy on your taco– you won’t regret it. 1 star for soggy tacos!

Delicious street tacos at a great price. Their adobada is my favorite. Would have given 5 stars but sometimes the line and wait are ridiculous. Other than that it’s my go-to place for tacos. Try their quesodillas. Giant and a fabulous price!

Moved about a year ago and where looking for a place that makes great tacos near by. Glad to have found al Rico tacos. Got the spicy beef tacos and it wasn’t spicy as I wanted but was really good though for cheap price. Will definitely go there again.

Can’t believe I never reviewed this place… I used to come here all the time when I lived close. The tacos are really good and cheap as hell. I always get 6 – 8 of them just because they’re so cheap and easy to eat. They also have the best coke… it’s the coke from sugar cane not that fake shit most places have. The prices are great for what you get!

Cheap, cheap, cheap. 2 tacos for $ 1.25. But in my opinion the tacos are flavorless. I have plenty of friends and family that just love the place. But for me it doesn’t cut it. I usually go there if I’m craving tacos badly and there is nothing else open. Then I bring them home and spice them up myself.

Cheap and decent tacos ever. Not the best but 1.25 for 2 decent tacos heck yeah. After they re-done the place it seems they have gotten much better not so oily like before and the wait isn’t so bad. And they fixed the card machine which was out for a long time a good thing because I never had any cash. The nachos are a must try they cost more but you get a lot and they are really good.

This place is a local treasure. I don’t know what it is about this place, but I LOVE it! Carne Asada tacos are always hot n greasy, just the way they should be. Topped with cabbage, tomatoes and salsa with lemons on the side. Their nachos are wonderful as well. The rice in the burritos makes me smile. People can hate all they want, but true Fresnans know this is the spot!

I love this taco place, both the drive up kiosk on the north west corner of the street and the sit down restaurant on the south west corner. The chicken tacos are my favorite… the meat is tender, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. I love the tamales too, and the rice and beans plate. I recently moved across town into a house just a few blocks north of Al’s and I eat there whenever I am craving hearty, no-nonsense food. Add in a can of diet pepsi and I’m good to go all for under 5 bucks. Awesome!

I haven’t given a 1 star rating for a taco join in a long time and shit, this place was borderline. Here’s the deal, they give two tacos for 1.25. Awesome right? Nope. I’d rather pay 1.25 for a good taco than 1.25 for two piss poor tacos. First of all, the asada was unsightly. like, a greyish color that was just not appetizing to the eyes. the actual taste didn’t help it’s cause either. flavorless. I doused with salsa and lime but that didn’t help. Fuck this place, for taking my 1.25 and ruining my only taco experience in Fresno.
