Good cheap food! Gotta give them credit for their excellent prices. I mean, you can’t beat two tacos for $ 1.25! The flavor is not bad either. I mean it’s not top of the line, but it’s most definitely tasty, and filling. I enjoy the efficiency of their service and one thing I would write home about is the Horchata. It’s some of the best I’ve had. Usually they’re pretty friendly and don’t roll their eyes when I ask for extra napkins. All in all, I dig Al’s Rico’s Tacos! Oh, and as a side note, I usually patronize the Ashlan & Marks location. It’s closer to me.

How can people eat these tacos? That’s all I had and I probably won’t be going back. Do yourself a favor and go try some Don Pepe’s tacos. Pricier, but worth every penny. Unlike these. Ordered al pastor tacos. it looked like ground beef. I didn’t expect greatness, but man these were not edible.

They were out of everything practically, no fish tacos, no bacon and eggs burrito… food didn’t taste that great

Sooooo good. These tacos are addictive and definitively right for the price. Try the asada tacos or the quesadillas, or the breakfast burrito. Or any burrito actually… Do it!!!

I love Al Ricos for what it is good, quick and cheap food. I only order the tacos when I visit al ricos and I can only speak about my experiences from that. At Al Ricos you get 2 tacos for 1.25 with your choice of meat. Instead of lettuce they serve their tacos with cabbage and salsa. You can add other things like cheese, tomato etc… All Al’s Ricos are little hole in the wall locations so you won’t be going to all ricos for a gourmet meal. You go to Al Ricos to get in, get out, get food, and get gone! One word of caution get lots of napkins because this food get messy and can be little on the greasy side!

Hole in the wall(literally)! Stopped here because I have 30 minute lunch and work downtown. Awesome deals on tacos 2x $ 1.25 can’t beat that. They are packed with stuff but they get the job done. I have had a few other things off the menu but be for warned everything is greasy! But cheap quick taco truck food! 4 star is mainly greasy food and lady last two times was snappy.

The quantity for the price and quesadilla asada($ 4.00) was quite good. However the burrito’s($ 4.50 lrg) flavor was not very interesting compared to others I’ve had in the area. Also, the tacos(2 x $ 1.25) were not very interesting either compared to ones at other local mexican places like Taco’s & Mariscos Tijuana. If your looking for a lot of cheap fast food this place should be good for you. If you looking for interesting flavorful mexican food look further down Ventura there are tons of places.

I liked this place until my last two visits. First place I ever tried adobada tacos and I loved them… until I went back and my meat was full of fat, found random weird hard things in it, and my boyfriend got the chicken burrito and the chicken was pink. I looked over the fat in the tacos once but when the hard things started showing in the meat up and the uncooked meat happend we said no more to this place. Two bad experiences in a row just killed it for us

Love the chicken burritos… fantastic, the grande is only $ 4.50. Pick ‘em up and take them home or eat them in your car… the tacos are great too… get four for $ 2.50.

I recently stopped here with a friend on our way through Fresno after a long backpacking trip in Kings Canyon National Park. We both live in the Bay Area and had never seen such a good deal on tacos: two for $ 1.25. The quality matched the prices; Al Rico serves some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, and we ended up sharing twelve of them. The horchatas were also huge and delicious, especially on a hot central valley afternoon. The downside(for some) is that the place is a real hole in the wall and the bathroom is one of the worst I’ve seen at a restaurant. They are not catering to a yuppie crowd and I hope it stays that way. Al Rico is a real gem. Next time I’m in Fresno I will definitely stop by.

This place has great tacos. They are normally pretty busy but they are quick to get your order. Cheap food and awful yummy to boot.

An absolute must if you’re looking for quick, delicious and cheap. This place is the epitome of «hole in the wall» Mexican food. But the tacos are spectacular. Last time I was there they were selling them for 75 cents each. They are a bargain, so order 4 for yourself. We eat here every time we’re in Fresno. Let me add something. If you’re looking for a trendy upscale hip taco place this is NOT it. This is the epitome of «hole in the wall» dining. So if you turn your nose up at «ugly» restaurants then don’t go here. But for those of us who know what good mexican food tastes like, and could care less about how the restaurant looks, this is it. Oh… and there are only park benches outside to sit on, so don’t come all dressed up. UPDATE: Al’s Ricos Tacos are closed up. Closed shop, finished, kaput, gone… Now what? Well… since they no longer exist, I’ve dropped their Rating from a 5 star must visit to a 1 star, don’t bother. But there is good news. Lola’s Rico Tacos is just up the street. Lola was the cook at Al’s Ricos Tacos 1, until she bought the place and turned it into Lola’s Rico Tacos. THIS is now the best taco shack on the planet. Check out the reviews here:
