AMF Sierra Lanes

This place is great don’t get me wrong, but the staff sucks.
Went on a Sunday night, I had put my name on the waiting list. Waited for a good half hour just to find out that the idiot worker didn’t even write my name down.
After that, another worker helped us get our shoes and lane. Gave one of my friends a pair of shoes that just got used, sprayed it then handed it to him. My friend kindly asked for another pair (there were about 3 other pairs his size on the counter) and the guy refused to give it to him. Then said that he’d close our lane.
Like seriously, if you’re having a bad day, leave that at home buddy.

Came to come bowl… Called around 6:30 to see when open bowling starts and was told open bowling was from 6 – 1 am. We get here and it’s packed so we decided to go grab something to eat. I asked one of the workers if we can put our names down on a waiting list… And was told no. Didn’t mind so we went to go eat. Get back and wait in line yet again. Get to the counter and get asked if I was Ellie… I said no of course … And was told they were calling people off a waiting list… I let the person at the counter that I was told there want one. And he says they did and if we wanted to wait… Uggghhhhh no… Disappointed… They need to get a line system going and let customers know when they would be taking names down…

Myself and a couple friends went out bowling last night to celebrate my husbands birthday. The bowling alley is a decent size and every employee seemed friendly. We were there during the «lights off» bowling. It was a bummer because our lane was right next to one that had the lights on. We would have preferred to be on a lane that was at the darker end. That is the only reason why this review isn’t five stars. We will definitely be going back.

It’s a really fun time and a the bar is great., but do you think you could get more than one person running the front desk? Line to the door and long wait!

Apparently they have league every day so l of the lanes are booked from 5:00 — 9:00pm. What about the regular customers that just want to come to bowl? We had to wait for over 45 minutes just to get a lane. Came at 7:30pm. It’s been an hour and we’re still waiting. Talk about a buzz kill.

I tried to get a refund on two games and an extra pair of shoes that I paid for but they wouldn’t refund it without a receipt. What a load of crap…

Came Wednesday night which is college night… You would get a discount obviously but unfortunately for me I am done with school so that doesn’t work for me. Lame! They close at 11PM and by the time I got there was 10:30PM so we had time for one game. I didn’t get to experience an awesome night but Fresno needs more late night places to hangout. I have no idea why they don’t because I am not originally from here. Anyways… The lanes were very oily tonight. It was just an okay fun night. I probably rate this a 4 star on the later days.

So much fun… I am not very good, but if you go when it’s slow, most of the people there were there for fun so the competitiveness was down to the people practicing and trying to beat their own scores. The people there are super nice and they have an awesome deal for the summer… If I could get my hubby to like bowling a bit more I would totally do it!
But it was fun for sure. :)

We got there on Sunday around noon and got to play right away. We got our own little section which was nice. We weren’t put close to someone else in other words hah.

UPDATE #2:
I just bowled here last week right when they opened, they had the 2 hour special which raised up to 23.00. really? But when I bowled here, my ball hooked perfectly into the pocket almost every time unless i missed my mark. I bowled pretty decent and shot some 200s and a lot of games between that and 150. But, the next day I can, there was league, but they still had 10 lanes avalible, when we asked the lady at the counter, she said they didn’t have the 2 hour special and said it was 3.75 to just bowl one game! I really hate paying the price to just bowl one game because i’ts a lot less expensive to bowl for 2 hours and i can usually bowl 15 or 20 games in 2 hours. I don’t think i’ll be going again soon until maybe the summer when they have that unlimited bowling again and it’s only like $ 10 a person.

This place is terrible. Incredibly sub par staff and terrible organization. The staff were rude to me and my two children. Won’t ever come here again.

Very fun place to bowl, Fridays and Saturdays are extremely busy. We waited 35 minutes for one lane. Customer service was friendly and patience even with a full house. The bowling lanes are clean plenty of bowling balls to choose from.
When using coupons from Groupon make sure you redeem before 6pm otherwise special price is not valid.
The $ 10 nachos were terrible and took 30 minutes to make, frozen chicken too? They forgot to add chili, and jalapeños but added olives even though I requested no olives? The cashier was very apologetic and sincere about the mistake however next visit we’ll be eating before.
Defiantly recommend bowling here; food not so recommended.

Clean and safe for kids, food was good. Bowling fees are pricey, adults or kids are the same. It is a good place to entertain our kids. Arcade games are available too.

great place to go bowling, updated menu and interior are pretty amazing. the set priced bowling at night is well worth it and great for groups.

Friendly people, nice interior for a bowling alley, and the bar looks cool. It’s a little pricier than I’m used to, but I think you pay for the nice inside. I plan to go back and maybe even join a league.

Well their is one thing i can say about this place is EXPENSIVE!!! We took the grandkids here for some fun and wow. No discount for kids under 12. We had a 9 and 4 year old and had to pay full price!!! WTF??? Its was $ 20 per person with shoe rental and 2 hours of bowling. 5 people for 2 hours was a $ 100 bucks!!! Ouch!!! We did have a good time, but $ 100 bucks??? The pizza was good and the beers were cold. Cant say much about the bathrooms though!!! Kinda dirty… The rest of the place was clean. The scoring system is way better than clovis location. Overall we had a great time, but the expense was a hard to swallow!!!

Good place to bring the kids. Especially if you are on the summer bowling plan. Lanes are lean and the staff is friendly. If the shoe rental wasn’t so darned expensive they would get five stars.

Went with my father for his señor league and the whole building seemed pretty cool. Bathrooms were clean and the lanes were well maintained. I love hanging with my dad and plan on coming back with him again sometime though I am not a bowler. They had all the regular offerings such as diner food and bowling equipment.

Nice place to hangout. They have a cool bar where they do karaōke sometimes, and a nice food menu – everything’s pretty decent for a bowling alley.
I came here on Saturday around 1 o’clock and we got two hours of bowling unlimited games, shoes included for $ 18 a person. Pretty good deal for my boyfriend and I, since we bowled like 7 games in the two hours and had a great time! It wasn’t very crowded at that time either.
I’ve also come with my sister before for «Xtreme bowling» on a Saturday night. It’s something like unlimited bowling for a few hours with crazy lights and such. It was fun also, but VERY packed.
I’m not sure that there’s anything about this bowling alley that really sets it apart from others, which would merit the fifth star, but it is the only bowling alley I go to in Fresno.

Went there during the day when it was quiet to arrange for my son’s birthday party. Rainey helped me get everything set up. Was told at the time, (numerous times actually) that the cost was $ 16.99. (which cracked me up because why not charge $ 17.00 and be done with it, right?)
Signed the contract where she pointed me to, paid the $ 25.00 deposit and off I went. Saturday came, and we got there. A young man was assigned to us to work our event. Not sure what he was doing, and I was the one directing everyone to get their shoes, and I was the one carting all the presents to the room, which by the way, was on the complete opposite end of the bowling alley from where our party was.
Came time to pay the bill, and come to find out that that they charge and ADDITIONAL 18% FOR «SERVICE FEE». Was never told this at the beginning, and it added over $ 45.00 to the bill. When you ask ANY of the employees about it, they parrot the words out of their mouths quickly, and it’s always the same. «It’s in the contract you signed. That’s why we give you a copy of it to take home with you.» That’s the only thing consistent about this bowling alley. That should be their motto.
When I called and spoke to Terry, and asked why I should be paying almost a fifth of the bill extra for them to take 3 pizzas and some soda to the room, she advised me that my «co-​ordinator» was supposed to have been doing all the work that I was doing during the course of the party.
She asked what I wanted, and I asked for a partial if not full refund of the «service charge». She said that she would talk to her manager and get back to me. She called back a few mintutes later and said that she was going to send me out some free passes for bowling. That’s it.
Do any of you think that I’ll be going back there anytime soon? What a crock and a ripoff.
Shame.
