This is the 2nd time they have done tree work without notifying us ahead of time. Last time the workers broke our table while removing tree branches and this time they are removing a giant pine tree that completely covered our apartment and garage. We weren’t given any notice until after the tree was already cut down and they needed to get into our backyard to remove the debris that fell on top of all our stuff. I can’t wait to get home and see what they broke this time. On another note, they just changed the rent due date and upped the late fee from $ 40 to 10%, maintenance doesn’t come out until the 2nd or 3rd time I call, they don’t call if they have a package for you anymore(even if it’s been sitting there for over a MONTH… We assumed it was lost in the mail because it never showed as «delivered»!), there are always homeless people going through the trash and best of all, when our rental addendum renewal came up they tried to charge us $ 10MORE than the current prices they had listed on Craigslist. Why would you charge a clean, reliable tenant with no pets MORE than some Joe off the street??? That was the last straw. This tree issue is further proof that this complex is going downhill FAST. And the front office staff tried to tell me that the work on the tree didn’t start until AFTER they called me to notify me that my backyard was full of junk and they needed permission to get in. Sorry guys, the proof is in the pictures. Lying is not ok and their unapologetic attitude wasn’t, either. Is it that difficult to give a tenant 24 hours notice that you will be doing work right above their unit? No, it’s not. Stay away!
