As a business owner and CEO, I understand the importance of excellent customer service. I am extremely disappointed in the owner, Roger. I just tried to call him and have not heard back from him as of yet. Let me explain. My father in law, who is an avid bike rider, was in town from San Jose this weekend to specifically go to this local shop in my hometown of Fresno to look at a specific model bike that they stock. Roger, the owner assisted my father in law on this trip to Cycle Path. My father in law very simply asked if he could test ride this specific model bicycle. The owner, very condescendingly asked my father in law«are you going to buy it?» My father in law stated that he might but that he would first like to try it as he has never been on this particular bicycle. The owner, Roger than proceeded to tell my father in law«Would a ferrari dealership let you test drive their car if you were not buying it?» At this point my father in law walked out of the store. Again, as a business owner this would be unacceptable behavior for any one of my employees let alone myself. I am very disappointed that my family travelled all this way to go into Cycle Path just to be treated this way. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a premium bike NOT go to this store. Do not spend your hard earned money on someone that treats people«customers» like this. I will tell everyone that I know about this experience. I will also be taking this to social media. On top of that, I will also be contacting each manufacture that he carries within his store to tell them about this experience. Their product line should not be represented by a person that talks to people this way. Shame on Roger and his business ethics or lack there of. *****Update***** I just spoke with Roger«the owner» He told me these exact words… «Do you know how many people come in here everyday wasting my time and wanting to test ride my bikes. Your father in law had no intention of buying here.» When I told him that what he did was unprofessional, he told me «my business, I do what I want.» What are we? 5? My father in law had every intention of buying a new Eddie MerckX bike. I am dumb founded by the treatment of this man Roger. He also hung up on me when I told him that I will be posting reviews and adding this to social media. I will also be contacting every manufacturer that he carries in his store to warn them of how their product is being represented. What a sad way of conducting business.

The mechanic staff was very helpful and friendly, but I won’t return because I did not like that the owner was a bit upsell arrogant. It put me off on buying from them.

Best prices, great service. Staff knows all the good spots to mountain bike. Did my major tune for only $ 90 bucks. Bike looked exactly line it did three years ago when it came off show room floor. Amazing.

I generally like this place. Bought two of my three bikes here but have stopped coming buy due to some customer service issues such as having my wheel for almost three years and blaming Mavic for not sending the parts. The funny thing is I’ve talked to Mavic and there are no issues on their end. I’ve also been told I can’t have access to my measurements. This has been a nightmare anytime I try to Change something in my bike or try a new something… I have nothing to go back to quickly and end up having to take the bike in again. On the flip side, Roger is very knowledgable and flexible and will bend over backwards to sell you a bike! They are fast in tuning up bikes but sometimes refuse to do something you request because of their own belief system. This is very annoying because I like to do business here but it’s to a point where I’m tired of being made to feel stupid for wanting to try things recommended to me by my cycling coach. Sooo, definitely a good and knowledgable shop but sometimes leaves you frustrated.

Background: There are not too many Argon18 retailers in Northern CA — from the Argon18 website, count = 3. CyclePath is one of those retailers. I was in town for some family events and I wanted to check out the store, for kicks. The store has a huge stock of extremely well-made bicycles — not the typical big box names you’d see at a conglomerate-type sports + bike stores. They have a huge and wide-variety of gear and accessories, as well. It wasn’t busy at the time I visited so the manager Roger took the time out to discuss the different aspects of materials and design of bicycles. It was a great learning experience for me. He was very down-to-earth and approachable; he did not have the typical cockiness I would encounter in some bay area bicycle/sports stores. In the end, though I really wasn’t looking to buy anything for a while — after a test ride, I walked out with a great deal on a complete bike with an accessory or two — I love the end of the season! Though I reside out of the area, they are totally willing to work with me to get my bike fitted properly and keep my new bike tuned to perform. Great stock and customer service — Cycle Path is an awesome bike store! I highly recommend Cycle Path Bicycles. Thanks Roger, Nate, and Marc!

I purchased a mid-range road bike from Roger and Nate in the fall and was so impressed that I returned in December to buy my wife an upgrade. They carry a great selection of makes and models not available anywhere else in Fresno(BH, Masi, Wilier, Ridley, Kuota, Argon 18, etc.) and offer great service. Fit and lifetime warranty service are included with bike purchase(so long as you don’t swap out any components which is somewhat unrealistic, right?).

Very helpful and friendly staff. They normally greet you when you walk through the door and, after a couple of minutes, will ask if you need any specific help. That fits my shopping style. No snooty sales staff(can you say Tri-Sport?) or bobble-headed teenagers(REI) and the staff doesn’t follow you around like a bloodhound following the pizza guy(hello, Rubber Soul). My bike knowledge is above average — I can a build up a bike from a bare frame and do 90% of my own repairs. The staff at Cycle Path offer sound advice without the«when I was training with Lance» attitude. I had a low-to-mid priced wheel set trued for a friend — the job was nicely done, reasonably priced and they were honest about the condition of the rims. Accessories are reasonably priced — not cheap, but lower than full MSRP — and they have a broad selection. While I’ve never bought a bike here, their prices are very competitive. Good selection of road and mountain bikes for the serious rider, while still offering a decent range of juvenile and casual bikes. I also noticed that they don’t sell your typical cookie-cutter brands… which is great if you want to ride something other than the thousands of SpeTrekGiantized that you see on the road each weekend.

Dude, You have to go here. I know it can be a chore to drive in Fresno but Cycle Path is well worth the visit if you live across town. I bought a bottom-of-the-barrel bike but Mark(super nice guy) took a ton of time educating me and fitting me to the right bike for my budget. I bought a bike thats been sitting in their warehouse for almost 2 years. I’m almost sure after housing that bike for so long they probably made all of 5 bucks total profit after the sale. Regardless I’ll be going back there for all my biking needs. They have a customer for life.
