Great service, just beware when it comes to busy days like Friday’s! During the lunch hour they get swamped, but other than that the ladies are friendly and wonderful.

Great Food and casual atmosphere. The pizza is the best in town and the pasta dish Old Blue Eyes is my favorite. Definitely part of the regular rotation

Quite frankly, if ZEROSTARS were an option, I would’ve given this Dicicco’s location just that. I’ve been a regular at the Cedar/Nees Dicicco’s for the last ten years and, prior to that, I frequented the Shaw/Van Ness location when growing up. Always had amazing food and, more importantly, great customer service. After moving to the newly developed downtown area 6 months ago, I began ordering delivery from the Blackstone location. That is when my Dicicco’s experience plummeted. On average, my delivery and to-go orders vary from 1 – 2 times per week. Delivery times are usually pretty quick, however, the accuracy and quality of my orders, in addition to the unfriendly response I get when making any request to correct a delivery order, is offensive to say the least. Mind you, for delivery of ONE non-meat pasta entrée and a $ 1.99 side dish, my bill is $ 23.00. With tip, it totals $ 27.00. Given the cost, it’s not too much to ask that my meal is correct. Well, as has occurred several times in the past, I order my usual dish, the person who takes the order is kind(this time), it arrives an hour later, delivery driver is friendly, then I open the container and it’s clearly not what I ordered. Naturally having spent $ 27 on one pasta entrée and a $ 1.99 side dish, I’m frustrated. So, I call and request the establishment deliver a corrected order. The gentleman kindly informs me it will be an hour and a half to re-deliver, or I can have my order refunded, so I opt to get a new meal delivered. The infuriating part is that 10 seconds after hanging up, he calls back and tells me I need to return what was delivered originally. Now, taken at face value, that’s fine — although I’m starving, and now waiting nearly 3 hours total to get the corrected version of my $ 27 dinner ordered(without any discount for my inconvenience), it isn’t the first to be this has happened. In fact, I know exactly what’s going on, which is why this will be my last order at this particular location. The first time this happened, I ordered the Scarface with a mixture of pesto and Alfredo sauce(as opposed to just Alfredo). It was delivered and it only had a few dabs of pesto sauce, it was dry, and no site of any cream sauce was incorporated. When I called to request my order be fixed, I could hear the cooks yelling at the woman I spoke with on the phone, and then she told me that the cooks had made it correct the first time, and that I was mistaken. I insisted the pasta only has pesto on it and, after finally convincing her, she told me a new one would be delivered, but I couldn’t eat the original delivery, and it had to be sent back per the cooks request. I was fine with that, although hungry, until I received the«corrected» delivery — it was apparent that the cooks had overcompensated and added nearly all cream sauce and little to no pesto. It was the EXTREME opposite. Given the response, it became clear that the new dish was done in spite by the cooks. That should’ve been the moment I never went back, yet I unfortunately continued to order because there are few delivery spots for working professionals in the area. Tonight was no different, except the gentleman I spoke with was pleasant even when delivering bad news. While I was infuriated and offended he called back to tell me my order had to be taken back, especially while I wait another hour and a half for them to correct my order I paid $ 27(with tip) for, I’m NEVER going back. This place has the most awful customer service, the prices are astronomical for the food you receive, especially when combined with sub par cooks that can’t take any type of request for a corrected order. Mistakes happen, and it’s not a good sign when people can’t simply chalk it as that and try and make it right — punishing a customer who’s waiting for 3 hours and paying full price results in one thing — that business’ demise. I received my order a little less than hour after requesting re delivery, and the pasta again was drowning in cream sauce with a dab of pesto. The pasta was literally swimming. I’m disappointed.

Feeling a lil bummed after tonight’s experience. I have been going to diciccos since I was a little kid and usually receive excellent service and food as well. Tonight was a little different starting with the customer in front of me with a take-out order that tried to pay with the hundred dollar bill and was refused and they had to figure out how to pay for their food for a family of four. Any restaurant that does not change for $ 100 bill should not be in business anymore. I ordered my food and asked for a upgraded salad which usually is one dollar more. Once the food was ready and I paid my total which was extremely larger than what the menu said it should have been. When I asked for a itemized receipt detailing the cost of everything I purchased, they explained to me that I ended up paying seven dollars for a larger salad rather than one dollar for an upgraded salad. After an older lady trying to make it right by refunding me the difference they were only going to refund me approximately $ 3.60 of the seven dollar difference. I’m not a brilliant math scientist but that was not The correct amount that I should’ve been receiving back she was flustered and confused and explain to me that she put extra stuff in my salad I don’t know what extra stuff means but I just wanted a larger salad and not a seven dollar salad or any extra stuff. Its just real sad to see that a favorite restaurant of mine has just gone downhill and the customer service was just horrible and I unfortunately do not recommend anyone to go there if they want a good experience with their favorite dining restaurant. Good luck with your xperience.

I honestly don’t know why I haven’t left a review for this place seeing as I come here very often. I’ve been going for years now and it never disappoints. Always good and fast service. Delivery has also been pretty fast. I had my graduation dinner here and even without letting them know ahead of time, they were able to serve our party fairly quickly. Food is amazing, the bread is to die for and on Fridays they have clam chowder that just taste so good. I will forever keep coming here.

I’ve been going to this place for years the food is always good and service has been great also. Went there last week with our puppy and the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, they let us sit in the patio with him. Even though the area is rough I’ll still come to this place whenever I’m craving Italian or craving that super yummy bread!

I ordered a large combo for delivery on May 1, 2015. The dough was so undercooked that it was still white on one side, was cold and it had very little flavor. I tried popping it in the oven but was still doughy on the inside. In the early 80’s I worked downtown and went there at least once a week. Never had a disappointing meal. Lately our meals have been mediocre but the pizza was our final order. I love patronizing local businesses and I am sorry to go. Good in the past but not recommended now.

Tried to place an order for delivery… most difficult thing I’ve done in years! I seriously had to hang up and call back twice before the order could be completed. Maybe they get a lot of prank orders? I don’t know, but it was absolutely ridiculous! IF(big if) I ever order from that location again I will definitely not be the one calling. Jan was the womans name… very dry… not understanding or friendly in the slightest. :(Delivery time was decent and the food was as good as you could expect to go food to be… except for the miss count in butters for the bread slices…2 giant hunks or bread with no butter in sight… and thanks for the silverware and napkins that I DIDN’T receive!!! I really hope I’m in the delivery radius for another location!

I’m sorry but all of you Fresnans that feel it’s below average or not that great are not only spoiled but more than likely poorly traveled and stupid. For Italian American cuisine this Diciccos is fantastic, and I say Italian American because obviously any place that serves the pasta options as this one does isn’t going to be either classic or traditional. However with that being said, it is great! If you’d much rather prefer something more along the lines of prepackaged and faux Italian then travel down to Olive Garden or be brave enough and have actual traditional Italian than pick on this place. They’re good, they’re sauce is great, they’re not fancy, and if you’re dining here or eating at most of the places in Fresno, I’m sure neither are you.

Typically, this is my favorite diciccos to come to because it is my parents favorite spot. We came here after my grandmother’s rosary which was in the evening on a Thursday night.(lots of family and friends) and sat in the bar because my dad says it’s the best. The service was good and the food was great. But that was almost 2 years ago… We came back 2 weeks ago for my grandfather’s rosary which again was in the evening on a Thursday night. It was 1 hour before closing and we all went to the bar again(family and friends). We weren’t in the bar long enough to even get our drinks because they told us we needed to move which I thought was extrememly rude but whatever, not in the mood to argue at an emotional time like it was for us all. But we got up and moved to the dining area. You can see the cooks when you walk by. they looked pissed. The young girl behind the bar looked like she smelt some bad alfredo, and the older lady had quite an attitude as well but it got better within time I think once she realized what we were there for. Anywho, I work in a restaurant which is almost 3 times the size of this one. I KNOWHOWITIS. Working late can be a bummer but I ALWAYS keep a smile on my face simply because I CHOOSE to work in a resturant despite the fact some people may trot in late at night sometimes… at least I can still make some money, right? My family owned a local business in Fresno for over 30 years, they know what good customer service is and this was not it. I really wanted to pull the staff aside and tell them that we were trying to celebrate my grandfather’s life. But again, it was an emotional day and I was not in the mood to go off on a poor resturant staff. But I can tell you, there are plenty of people who would be more then happy to take on those jobs if the current staff can’t handle it and put a smile on their face while doing it. Really disappointing.

We enjoyed it! Great, nice service. Very cute old Italian themed décor. We had yummy gnocchi and got two added decent sized meatballs for $ 1.50.

Good service, below average food. The bread was great, the salad was ok, everything else was bad. I had the parmagiana don, lasagna, chicken parm, and fettuccine alfredo. My entire dinner was served sitting in water, likely from the fettuccine not being drained well. My lasagna was cold in the middle, which definitely points to frozen food, even if it was homemade on-site. The chicken was cooked nicely, but covered in too much cheese. My wife had spaghetti, also in a pool of water. The server was nice, and even brought our little one some mozzarella on a plate, which we appreciated, as it gave her something to eat while we waited on our entrees. Weve eaten at a different Diciccos before, and enjoyed it, but we suggest you STAYAWAY from this particular location.

I have been to three other locations in town before coming to this one(Old Town Clovis, Sunnyside and at Shaw and First next to the Ross). I was here at the downtown location for lunch on a Friday at noon. The complimentary bread was really good and the service was fast. We ordered and when I got my food it was the smallest portion I have ever received at a DiCicco’s. I ordered a full ravioli plate thinking there was going to be extra to take home for dinner later and that was not the case. While the flavor was excellent, I was expecting a little more compared to the same plate at other locations. Maybe I’ll try one more dish to see if it was a fluke but if it’s the same story as today, I probably won’t go back to this location and go to one of the other three.

This place was pretty good. HUGE portions, even for lunch. I couldn’t begin to finish it all. I got a calzone, and it was very very good. So was the minestrone soup. A definitely must to try for everyone.

I went here with my family and bf a few months ago… It was ok. I got the O’l blue eyes… It needed salt and I thought the chicken was a little over cooked. The porton was a good size. My bf got a personal pepperoni and anchovy pizza. It was kinda cold when it got out to him but that was ok. The pizza itself was good. I never really have cared for thin crispy crust and thats all they serve at most italian restaurants… and at Dicicco’s. The fact that they have anchovies though… pretty awesome and hard to find. My dad got a special platter containing lasagna and ravioli and one more thing. Forgot what it was. Spaghetti? About $ 12ish. The lasagna and ravioli marinara was good. Cheese was good and good portions of each. My bro got the eggplant parmesan. The portion was small. Their bread is always awesome… I always fill up on bread before my food arrives lol Probably the most consistent food within the Dicicco chain. The bar… One of the whole reasons why we were here at this Diciccos was because after much pestering my friend finally got the bartender to make her ITALIANMARGARITA. The bartender now was a waitress filling in for her daughter. She was clueless about making drinks but she knew what she liked. Guns and Roses and Pinnacle Brand Whipped cream Vodka. Anyway she got us all real drunk except for my bf. She just couldn’t process how to make any drink he wanted. So to make up she offered top shelf booze for the same price. He said«Ok, put some ice in a glass and fill it with Chivas» He only paid $ 5 for that drink. And he was wasted when we left.

The interior hasn’t changed since the late 1970’s. Dinner is always almost empty inside. Menu is what you’d expect at any other DiCicco’s.

Went there on a sunday for dinner, it was almost empty with four customers seated in two separate tables. After we ordered the food, two young men seated not far from us asked for their check. The waitress asked if they would like to bring the half unfinished pizza home. They said no. After awhile, the table was also ready to leave, the waitress asked if they want a box to carry the pizza home. I heard the customer said that the pizza was tasteless that they ate only two pieces.(they did order someting else). I ordered pasta with prawns. The sauce was tasteless, and the prawns appeared to be cooked and recooked, it was dry and tasteless. I had better food at that location before. Not sure what had happened that day, I suspected the chef was not working on that Sunday.
