This place is right across from the Peach Pit, another converted Fast Food building. However this one is sort of a home-style little-bit-of-everything café. Doughnuts(prepared at 5am fresh) and really generous portion. Drinks are reasonable, even if made with powder. You can order fast food like burgers. They have Chinese food to go, extremely reasonable. Normally I order the Chinese food with a drink, and its yummy. The joint is clean and good reports from health inspection too, although I can see it’s really tidily run, well organized. Good deal!

The glazed donuts are VERY good. Better than most places I’ve had them from. It’s not Krispy Kreme glazed donuts but it’s also very delicious. I would go back just for those. I went looking for beer rocks but they don’t make em daily only on special order in large batches.

I am SO disappointed! After reading all of the fantastic reviews I thought this place was going to be the bees knees. Boy was I wrong! The service was good, nothing special, but then again how hard is it to put donuts in a box and ring someone up? The quality of the donuts was horrible. I went this morning a little before 10am, and when I go to a donut place on a Saturday morning, I’m expecting fresh. Did I get fresh? No. Six donuts in total, all of them were stale! My fiancé and I tried a bite from each of them and couldn’t even eat a whole one! They tasted like they were day old and had been sitting out. They were hard, and the chocolate glaze on two of them just flaked off. Gross! The worst donut house I have ever been to. How sad, since I live only a block away!

I love this place I always just get their Small 2.99 combo, even though it sounds plain it is so good and worth so much more then the price. I love burgers and theirs are always made perfect and great taste on their beef. I also have gotten several orders of donuts for one of my events and an older gentle men helped me and gave me extra donuts so kind. That kind of gesture will get you customers again. For a family business and in one of my favorite areas Tower District I support their business who doesn’t love a good burger.

This place is family owned. It’s fast, inexpensive, and the food is delicious. Homemade style burgers, fries, beirrocks,(vegetarian opinions available in both), Chinese food and donuts. Also, if you ask, they can make you traditional chinese donuts(for congee), so that’s a major plus because the Asian markets around town are always sold out of fresh ones.

I was originally planning on going to Charlotte’s next door, but for some inexplicable reason this bakery isn’t open at 8 in the morning! So the Donuts 2 Go sign caught my eye, as I wanted something quick and inexpensive. As I walked in I was greeted by the nice gentleman at the counter and perused a fairly standard selection of donuts. Except for the maple bars at the top. I didn’t have my glasses and asked«are those nuts on top?» He said, «No, bacon.» HELLO! They were 2 dollars which I thought was a reasonable price for a maple bar literally covered in chunks of bacon… Even without the bacon, it was a well made donut, but the bacon was amazing! It was smoky and intense and added much to the pastry. So, if you’re looking for something a little different, try the bacon maple bar at Donuts 2 Go.

I love this place when I first went there for a few weeks. Then a month pass by and I went in and got a $ 1.50 soda from them and went back for a refill. They have posted $ 0.90 for refill and in the pass week before that I always paid that. Well one of the older aunts that runs it told me it was $ 1.00 for refill. I told her sorry you have posted $ 0.90 for refill and still tried to get me to pay it. But I told her no I’m only paying what is posted and she finally took it. So first strike Then next time I went in they had a posting that said if using debit card must spend $ 5.00 or more if not $ 0.50 charge will be add. Even though state laws said no business can charge a fee for using debit card or credit card. But I still got food and spent $ 7.00 and same aunt tried to charge me a fee any way. I told here no and show her the sigh and she said that was a old system but now has to charge a fee for all purchase. Then one of her nieces said no it the same system. Strike 2 Now the last time I went there to get donuts I was about to get some then I watch the aunt swat flys behind the counter and notice there was no glass coving the donuts and the dead flys we’re falling in the donuts and she pick them out. Strike 3 So after that and seeing that I will not eat there ever !!! You would be crazy to eat there in a unclean place !!

I’ve been here with my boyfriend three times, and will most likely come here more! I haven’t had their doughnuts yet, but the $ 3 meal caught my boyfriend’s eye. He decided to give the burgers a try. He said they were really good, so I asked for a bite. Then I went to order one myself. It was really good! I ordered the mini burger, which isn’t that mini, in my opinion. It looked like the size of a «regular» hamburger from any other burger restaurant. If I ever want a nice, cheap, burger, I would go here. Oh yes, and the fries were great. The staff is really nice and understanding. They make sure everyone does a good job on what they do!

I was looking for something different for lunch, and remembered that a little place down Olive had bierocks. That place: doughnuts 2 go(or maybe it’s donuts 2 go, i can’t remember). for those that remember, this locale used to be a chinese food, burgers & donuts place, but a few months back it became Doughnuts 2 Go. they still do multiple things, as exhibited by the fact that i went in and had 2 bierocks. they were pretty basic(ground beef & cabbage) but good tasting and cheap — $ 1.99 each. i was rather pleased with the taste. i’m not sure if they make them on the premises or are buying them from someone else, but i’d guess they pre-make them and then heat them up. anyway, they tasted good. i also wanted to try out the doughnuts, so i bought a apple fritter to eat later. the doughnuts seem reasonably priced, and i think the fritter was $ 1.75 — but your average doughnut was under $ 1. i’m not sure when they made the fritter(i’m assuming it was in the morning) but i ate it about 5 hours after buying it, and it still tasted really fresh and good. they also do burgers & fries, and the prices seemed good, so i think i’ll have to go back at some point and check out the burgers, too.
