Dr. Nit Wit

This is a rather embarrassing review to write, which is why I believe they have so few. No one wants to admit their child has lice. I have been struggling with what I thought was a a lice epidemic in my house. My son has had lice (or so I thought) on and off for the past 2 years. We tried all of the over the counter stuff, all of the natural remedies, shaved his head (multiple times), took him to the Dr. multiple times who prescribed some pretty scary stuff and still we thought he had lice. I finally decided to call Dr. Nitwit. I should have done this before I subjected my poor boy to all of the poison and endless days of combing what I thought were nits out of his hair. Turns out he doesn’t have lice, just a type of dandruff, which they were able to determine within seconds of examining his head. Everyone at the office was extremely nice and understanding. Before the examination they put me at ease and made my son and I feel welcome. Not once did I feel shamed for my son having lice. If you think for even one second you or your child has lice, call them, asap! If you have it they will take care of it for good. If you don’t they will put your mind at ease.

Dr. Nit Wit really put me at ease. my previous child care provider had been exposed to lice from one of the kids. my child doesn’t have long hair hes a boy but one fell off another kid and she treated it like nothing. Like it wasn’t important to check the other kids. I felt so insecure about her care i switched my kid out to a more structured and aware facility where the kids are checked. thats not something u want to spread. I experienced reallly bad lice in experience in high school. and this place is so clean and they dont treat a mothers worry like nothing. I love this place and would recommend it to any parent. It pays off to get proffesional help and its nothing to be upset about. Dont be high and mighty and assume you could get rid of it with over the counter applications that could harm your child. Its not an easy task and some parents are so ashamed they dont inform the school that they’re child has lice. its completely ok to ask for help and the cost is well worth it.

I had never given much thought to lice… until my daughter brought it home one day and infected the whole family! We had no idea what we were dealing with, and it was a nightmare… until I discovered Dr. Nit Wit. This place should be renamed Dr. Sanity, because I didn’t get my sanity back until I visited this place. Please, if you have lice, like the other reviewer said, do NOT waste your time trying to get rid of it yourself (because you won’t), or on buying useless, expensive products that are harmful for you and your little ones (did you know the over-​the-​counter lice shampoos are pesticides?!). Just do it right the first time and go to Dr. Nit Wit… I’m telling you, they know what they’re doing. Not only are they thorough, they are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. They put your anxiety at ease and make you feel like it’s not the end of the world. I’m so glad I discovered them. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has experienced an encounter with lice. Steven and Kimmy are AMAZING!!!

Dr. Nit Wit is awesome!!! I’am a complete paranoid freak when it comes to any bugs especially little ones on my kid’s head. My little girl turned up with lice and I would never have been able to pull each one out of her head like they did. They provided us with a nice informational folder letting us know what else we needed to do in our home to help prevent a re infestation. She is scheduled for a recheck this week, fingers crossed! My daughter told me she actually liked being there! Great friendly service during a really stressful situation! Thanks Dr. Nit Wit!!!

My Step Daughter Gets Lice EVERY YEAR at about the same time. And her mother does very little or NOTHING at all to rid her of them. I can NOT say ENOUGH GOOD things about this place. WELL worth every penny !!! And if your not going to Follow ALL the ADVICE they give you, well then NO you are not going to get rid of them. So you cant expect them to do ALL the work for you. You do have to go home and follow through with ALL the recommended steps. It does work. And is COMPLETELY Safe. NOT to mention how extremely nice and professional they are. He even offered to do her mothers head for FREE just to help us get rid of them. Of course she didn’t even show up for the appointment. None the less they still got rid of the lice on my step daughter very quickly. Plus we had to wash EVERYTHING she came in contact with, even the seat in the car where she sits in. I would highly recommend this life saving place to EVERYONE. And I will definitely take her back to this place and GLADLY PAY for their services again when the time comes. And I know it will. Dr. Nit Wit is a life saver! Lice is scary and upsetting and can make you feel out of control! My kids picked up lice somewhere and I ended up getting it too. While I’m able to pick all the nits out of their hair, there was no one who could do the same for me. Kimi at Dr. Nit Wit did a fantastic job on me and my daughter (I chose to treat her too). Their products are all-​natural and safe for everyone. Their treatment involved going through our whole heads section by section picking out all the nits, then using a natural product with essential pils (eucalyptus, citronella, etc.) and then going through every section of hair a second time to get any missed nits. They even checked us a week later on 2 occasions to make sure we had gotten rid of it. They are the only business like this in the Central Valley (between San Francisco and LA), so Fresno is lucky to have them! They are worth the money to have the peace of mind that you are lice free by people who are professionals. Some people struggle with live for months… don’t waste your time and money on other products. Spend the money and get it done right the first time!
