You get what you pay for. Reasonably priced. Disgusting stained/dirty linens. Non-smoking room wreaks of smoke. Good for a night’s rest on the road. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The hotel is directly by the cemetery making it creepy at night. They only have queen size beds and the appliances weren’t that clean. The phone was ringing at night every hour on the spot and when we answered no one will respond. The management and the cleaning staff were really nice but we had a bad experience. And won’t come here again

I like this Econo Lodge. I’m guessing after the terrible reviews, the management changed a lot of stuff and the place is really solid now. Whenever I come to Fresno, this is hands down my first pick. I checked out one morning and asked for a receipt. The lady told me she couldn’t print me out one because I had booked it online. Well, a week later as I was checking out, she gave me the receipt from last week and the current week and apologized to me telling me she was wrong and here was the receipt. How awesome is that! And the best thing? Place is right next to a cemetery so it’s pretty quiet at night.

This hotel is located ON the on ramp to a highway. Walking next door to the gas station to pick up some drinks, we passed not one, but two piles of puke. Checked in and was given a room upstairs(even though the place looked empty). Upon opening the door I was hit with a wave of heat. It had to be around 100 degrees in the room. Immediately went to the front desk to ask for a cooled room only to be told that the AC was never left on in the room. Immediately cranked the AC to its max of 60. The room got cold about the time we left the next day. Three of the four of us had to lie to our last friend because the room was crawling with roaches. She wouldn’t have slept in the hotel if she knew. She found the first one in the bathroom but we spotted them crawling the walls. Also fairly sure we heard rats/mice during the night(had to lie to her again on that one). Didn’t stay long enough to shower and we were scared to eat the continental breakfast based on the bug situation. Also were told their wireless had a password but it didn’t. Anyone hanging out puking at the gas station could be on that wireless network! We won’t ever go back.

With our previous night’s positive experience at Econo Lodge in Sacramento, we decided to give the chain another shot in Fresno. I’m happy to report that they are two-for-two on this trip. To save time, here is the bullet point review. * The room was actually nicer than last night. It was obvious that they had just done some sort of remodeling. * The free breakfast had a waffle machine and it generated a couple of delicious waffles for us. I was surprised at how good they were. * The motel is right off Highway 99 and just one exit away from the Sequoia-King’s Canyon Freeway(180), making it a great launch point if you’re headed to either Sequoia/King’s Canyon or even Yosemite. * They offered the same $ 50AAA rate(with tax) as the previous Econo Lodge. It must be a chain thing.

You’ll like this place if you enjoy man stains everywhere, dead bugs, boogers stuck to the wall, tagged bathroom doors that don’t have the ability to close, carpet pubes, cigarette burn holes through the sheets, the security latch ripped off the door, leaking toilets, and creepy people milling about everwhere. The people behind the counter here were so nasty to us during check in. We meant to stay at the other Econo Lodge in Fresno because it had a dvd player in every room. We weren’t expecting a five star hotel– but we did hope it would be clean and at least somewhat comfortable. This is the kind of place you feel like you are going to be murdered at. There was a cat colony outside with at least 50 poor animals trying to survive in the parking lot. A lot of the cats were diseased and one kitten’s eye was coming out. It’s really sad. we’re trying to find a TNR to help them.
