This is a brides nightmare house. First of all I wanted a high low design dress. Sylvia the mother said she could design it for me. I was so excited! !! Besides the dress it self was $ 1, 200 when I came to try it on it looked like a 2 year old had a sewing class on the dress. When I told the daughter and mother and the so called seamstress my dress was not RIGHT!!! 30 min. Of convensicing them I could never walk down a isle in that. Then they called there self fixing it. So when I called them to press it that was extra!!! They refused to do it and said I was to picky. And referred me to a cleaners! !! Those are some shistey people. I would tell everyone don’t ever do business with them!!! There NOTRIGHTFORBRIDES. Besides they ain’t got no men. NORESPECTFOR A HAPPYWOMAN. BECAUSETHEYARENOT.

What a horrible experience. This place has horrible customer service, amd a severe lack of any semblance of organizational skill. If you don’t want to stress over how you and your dress will be treated, I’d avoid this place like the plague. If only I could give no stars.

OMG! After reading other Unilocalers’ reviews, «It can’t be thaaaat bad!» And they carried a line I wanted to look at. So my mom and I made an appointment, went in a few minutes early and, just like as in others’ experiences, there was a group of trashy people eating lunch on the couches looking grumpy. The older woman told me after I showed her a picture of the gown I wanted to try on, that I should just let her pick out my gown, because she knew better. After they made me sit there in my underwear while she answered phone calls. Anyway, we left about 10 minutes into the«appointment.» What a joke! It was a dirty dump too. DON’T GOHERE. Waste of time. And yeah, I would also give zero stars if possible.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Granted, it’s already a negative situation, wedding being cancelled. The dress was ordered in May, and a deposit paid; they PROMISED it would be delivered sometime in October. Here it is, mid January, and we get a call on friday stating«We have good news for you, give us a call back». We call back today(monday), to be told we are only allowed 5 days from their message(on friday), before the case is handed over to their attorneys for collection, because that call was our notification that the dress came in. On top of that, when we called her on not having mentioned the«5 days» before, her response was«I don’t care about your situation, and I don’t care about your excuses.» Horrible.

I would have to say this place is very shady. Though Silvia did find a gown that fit well with my Mom’s body type, the sneaky way of «memorizing» the gown’s designer, style and prices are definitely bad business. Our first impression of the store– it was cluttered, disorganized, and we were surprised that there were dresses on the FLOOR and hanging over chairs and such. Silvia stated we could look around, stating: «just push the dresses out of the way» and she proceeded to make a pathway for us-her excuse was that they were taking inventory for the local bridal convention. Since we couldn’t find anything, Silvia strongly recommended making an appointment because she knew she could find a dress for my Mom. When I called for an appointment her daughter was very rude to me, for reasons I don’t know but when I mentioned this to Silvia she said«oh yes, that is the way she is, she is not good with people» and even laughed about it with her other daughter, there was no apology. During the fitting a mother and daughter came in and asked if Silvia had a certain style dress-she provided her with the style number, but because Silvia«memorizes» dresses she was unable to pull the dress-she needed a picture. After they left Silvia decided to disclose her negative opinion about them to us. It really ruined the hopeful day of trying on dresses. As mentioned earlier, Silvia did find a dress that fit my Mom. After coming home with the purchase we found the dress online for $ 400-$ 600 bucks cheaper. Another note-no camera’s allowed! Not even cell phone picture. It would of been nice to get the expression on my Mom’s face when she first slipped into the dress.

I would not even give this place one star. From the start of my appointment, I should’ve been worried about the fact that they clip the tags off their dresses, so you are unaware of what designer or style number you’re trying on. When I asked about the designer and style number, Sylva told me she had no idea which designer/style it was and that if she were me, she wouldn’t wait to order since her dresses fly out of the store, and she wouldn’t have it in a few weeks. I went ahead and placed the order for the dress I tried on, fearing I wouldn’t be able to find it again. Sylva told me it was a ‘Casablanca’ dress, style named ‘Laurie’. When I tried to find the style online, and couldn’t, she told me that it was a «couture line they don’t carry online». When I picked up my dress, it did not say it was a ‘Casablanca’, it said ‘Moonlight’. After researching this designer online, I found the prices to be no higher than $ 500. This is $ 700 less than I paid for the dress!!! Not only that, but when I ordered the dress, she said she was upgrading to silk taffeta. The material of the dress I picked up was a polyester blend. I am ashamed that I was taken advantage of, especially since I had numerous red flags along the way. When I called Elegant Bride to confront them with all of this, they could not give me a straight answer, and would not help me out. Now, I’m stuck with a dress I am severely unhappy with and will not wear, because I was forced to buy another dress! Not something you should be dealing with before your wedding!

I live in Orange County, but my fiancé’s family lives in Fresno. We were up in the area for the weekend and decided to look for wedding gowns with my future mother in law. Fiancé’s sister in law got her gown there, but I was under the impression she had a good experience. I called a few days in advance and scheduled an appointment with Elegant Bride. We get there on time, and our instant impression on their business practices were questionable. An upset mother and daughter were disputing the color of their recently purchased bridesmaids gowns(which were supposed to be silver, but looked more green, like a sage). The girl at the counter(I assume the owner’s daughter) was saying it looks silver to her, but everyone else in the store agreed it looked green. Then it was time for me to try on gowns. I have already tried on 20-something gowns by this time, but still haven’t made my decision. The lady(I can’t remember her name, but she has a pretty thick accent). She picked out 5 gowns for me to try on, doesn’t allow pictures, won’t provide style names or numbers and wouldn’t even let me wear my own shoes that I brought. She asked me when the wedding is, I said March 2009, and she told me she didn’t understand how I got an appointment. She said they typically don’t schedule appointments for brides who have a wedding more than 8 months in advance. She gave me grief for shopping early. We were out in 30 minutes and wouldn’t let me try on the first gown again(which was the gown I liked the most and wanted to have one more chance to try it on). She essentially told mother in law that she doesn’t take indecisive brides seriously because they aren’t ready to commit. Needless to say, this location has lost our business.
