Jf Urgent Care

In Fresno, I could only find three places accepting new patients for Anthem Blue Cross Medi-​Cal plan. I tried all of the 3 one time or another and this one is by far the best one (but that is not saying much). I have to remember hey be happy with what I got, because there’s not much out there accepting new patients for medi-​cal. It is not like when I had good health insurance where I could choose a good doctor.
They are assigned as primary care physician by the insurance company and have their name on insurance card. Then go to them for appointments, walk-​ins, and even go there for urgent care. The Anthem medi-​cal does not cover urgent care normally, but it does cover for urgent care at this place if already have this place as primary care physician on insurance.
They have doctors, but whenever I’m there, I am assigned nurse practitioners.

So unprofessional the workers at the front desk are gossiping about patients loudly and people sitting in the waiting room can hear everything.

Honestly this place use to have noone, to t he point it was a lil creepy for me. It use to hav 1 indian/​or arabic girl working as reception and dr. Fong himself. That was it. Than magically alot if people were being referred out to this office prob cause insurance. I been here before couple years on off for urgent care. The longest wait in my life 3 hours and thats with appointment, another 30 minutes on top that waiting in the room!
Went in for back pain sciatica, swollen ankle and achey foot tendon. My whole left side body was swollen when I could crouch down I would b lop sided. Wasnt rite at all. N d nurse practitioner had nerve tell me all women are lop sided. wat does that suppo to mean… Where they do that at! Lol. I told her thats really odd for me cause I wasnt llike this before. She sent me to get MRI my low back n I did but never came back this place.

The only good thing about this place is the staff. The NP was kind and caring. On the other hand, This place is atrocious!!! I have never seen a place so disgusting and filth. This is poor quality environment to conduct any sort of business let alone urgent care…

Worst possible place you could ever visit. Just say no and go to a real place that cares about your well being.

I urge you, choose a different clinic.
I have been taking my child here for about 1 year now and I have not had a very pleasant experience with this clinic.
There has been several instances where I go in with an appointment wait for 1.5−2+hrs until I decide to ask the front desk if my child will soon be called in. It isn’t until I have to remind them that I am still there and have not been called in that they consider calling me in. All while I see other walk-​in patients or patients who have appointments at a later time than mine be called in while I’m still waiting to be called upon! It’s really upsetting to see such service at the waiting room.
Also, there’s hardly any places to sit because for some reason it’s always packed. The waiting room is considerably small and that on top of people who would rather place their purse or belongings on the chair next to them instead of offering the seat to others like myself who has waited long periods of time holding a baby on my arms has just added to my disapproval of this place.
The reason I have continued to take my child here is because I’m relatively «new» to the Fresno area and don’t know where else to go that accepts medical. Also, Dr. Fong is actually a pretty approachable, nice doctor to speak to and has been of great help.
However, the cons definitely overrule the pros on this one.
