Place is upscale with nice and clean rooms. Menu was a bit hard to read(maybe because of their names?) but we managed to order drinks and food. Prices are high. Food was okay. Nothing outstanding or amazing. Service was fast and good. Came here for friends bday dinner. Overall a good dining experience.

Excellent food, terrible policy and attitude. We had a reservation for 7:30pm. They did not bother calling us up early to let us know they had decided to close the kitchen at 8:30 instead of 9, and were rushing us to order our food. This is the 3rd time this has happened to us, will not go back unless they change the pattern.

Was not impressed or have anything good to say about this place. For an appetizer, we had the chicken and steak empanadas. They were really dry and had a frozen after taste. For my entrée, i had the shrimp saltados, and this plate was super salty and was 90% fries and onions. I asked too look at the menu and get something els. I then got the roasted chicken, this chicken was so dry! It was inedible! When i asked why the chicken was so dry. The waiter told me that the chicken takes 30 min to cook and that if i wanted a new one i would have to wait that long. Now keep in mind that he brought me that chicken 5 min after they took my first plate. So that chicken was probably under the heater for a long time. Never again going to this place nor do I recommend.

Good service. Love the menu of Puruvian food. Very nice interiors and a great looking bar. Their Mac and Cheese is a must order.

Had a great experience at Limon last night. We ordered a variety of small plates which included chicken, beef. And pork ribs along with the Carne empanadas for appetizer. Fernando was very polite and patient with us.

What a nice Peruvian restaurant! I loved the décor of this place, very trendy yet elegant. The rotisserie chicken was delicious and the yucca fries were excellent. However, the food did take a while to arrive(minus one star).

I think first impressions can be important when it comes to restaurants, and this place leaves a lasting good first and good last impression. Upon approaching their entrance with large front doors, someone comes out and opens the door to greet you. I’d say this restaurant is fancy casual and you could come dressed to the nines or not, and not once feel completely out of your element. The décor and inside is very nice in mostly dark wood tones. It’s just very elegant, sleek and clean looking. Definitely nothing distracting or detracting from your dining experience. I have eaten dinner here three times and on my last visit I sat in the bar area to reap the benefits of their happy hour specials. From 4:30pm — CLOSE they have a good assortment of food and drink specials available only in the bar/patio area. I’ve always enjoyed my dining experience here as the staff has always been friendly and helpful with menu questions and the like. My only experience with Peruvian food has been from this restaurant, but judging by the food I’ve eaten here, I want to try more Peruvian food. Or at least eat here, repeatedly. I’ve tried their Arroz Con Mariscos and their Linguini with seafood and both dishes were very good and flavorful. I ordered the Arroz Con Mariscos on my most recent visit and although I can’t identify the seasonings, the flavor profile is just delicious. Their food plating and presentation here is quite nice as well. The first two times I ate here was with a large group so I know a lot of people who have eaten here, and I’ve yet to hear one person say that they didn’t enjoy their meal or dining experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will continue to come back.

Many times in the past, this location(particularly this building) have had some unsuccessful business, but I came here a few months ago for a birthday gathering, & I can honestly say it surprised me that the food & customer service was indeed superb! Now, I’m hoping Limon will be around for awhile. I came here the evening before Valentine’s Day, & it was a great, fine dining experience. Whether I was at the table enjoying my dinner & socializing with my crowd, or at the bar, the customer service was awesome. The waiters were considerate, helpful, friendly, & all had a great sense of humor(which is always a plus for a first time experience). Food was also excellent. I came with a party of about 16 people & we pretty much all sampled the whole menu. I had the half roast chicken which was a huge portion & surprisingly tender. My bf had the steak, cooked med-rare, & it was cooked perfectly! After sampling a piece of everyone’s dish, & a few of the cocktails, I honestly believe that the chefs knew what they were doing & they were doing a great job at it. Btw, same goes for the bartender(we only met one that night). He was not only awesome at making drinks, but was a friendly stranger. Overall, I really like this place & would totally be back for good food.

I was super excited to have a Limon in Fresno. I LOVE Peruvian food and I love the San Francisco location. I went in ready to love it. It fell so short, it took me a while to write a review. The chicken wasn’t as tasty as I’ve had it before and everything I ate was lackluster. The ambiance in there is «nice» but so blah, I can’t even explain. The service was also nothing to write home about it. The food took a long while and it was barely populated for an early dinner(server, why you ignore us?). I went back and forth with 2 and 3 stars but it missed so many marks and the prices are too high, so I went lower.

Stopped in for a quick bite and ordered off the happy hour menu and to be honest was disappointed in the food. For being Peruvian and Latin infused, there was no life in the food, be proud and don’t be afraid to put some love into the food. This place was just off, great concept just need to let those Chefs loose. Now, service was great, our server did a great job.

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner here and it was delicious! Our appetizer didn’t amaze me(hence the 4 stars instead of 5) but our main dishes however were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back to try something new!

This place has definitely gone downhill! This was my third visit. The first time I came here I was dazzled, the second time I was satisfied, and this last time I’m leaving shaking my head and never returning. The biggest disappointment of the evening was our lack luster service. The waiter was awkward, reached over us, was inattentive while far more attentive to the table right next to us, and pretty unhelpful when we looked for suggestions.(«everything is good!».) We ordered the carne empanada for an appetizer. It was pretty good, but it could’ve been hotter. It did not seem like it was fresh out of the fryer. Hubby ordered the soup, but it was mostly broth and needed salt. For a main dish I had the pork chop and hubby had the fish. I’ve ordered this pork chop dish several times before, and this was the smallest portion I’ve had thus far. It was perfectly cooked and everything on my plate tasted wonderful. My husband’s fish was perfectly cooked as well. Despite the solid entrées, they were not enough to make us forget the lukewarm appetizers and chilly service. Sorry Limon, we will not be back.

Limon seems a fairly average restaurant but seems to try to be more up-scale while. Service is good, food is OK(more below), clean, not too busy on a Saturday night(no wait around 6:30). They start taking hits on theme though. It’s supposed to be Peruvian but most of the main dishes feel American or Italian. The food is tasty but mostly for a new flavor perspective if you are trying one of their Peruvian dishes. Their starter bread is good but they serve it with cold butter packets unspreadable on the soft bread which just seems like something a lower scale restaurant does. I also ended up with bits of what seemed to be sand in my food that I had to pick out of my mouth to prevent cracking a tooth. My second complaint is that you can use a gift card towards your meal but not towards a tip, and worse, our waiter specifically pointed that out. This is a minor point, but layout is not great, their seats are slightly uncomfortable, and they keep the temperature cold enough to require a jacket the whole time. There are no booths at all so privacy is somewhat lacking. Glad I tried it for free with a gift card because I wouldn’t go back.

Oh my goodness. I was totally blown away by the food here at Limon. For me, I consider this place as fine dining, and it was no let down. My dining partner and I were seated as soon as we walked in, and the place looked a bit busy during the dinner hour. My partner ordered the Pescado Limon, which was fish, spinach, and potatoes. I ordered the Adobo de Carne, that consisted of boneless short ribs, mashed potatoes, and carrots, peas, and zucchini. We tried eachother’s food, and I was amazed at the amount of flavor incorporated into the Pescado Limon plate. I thought the fish was chicken, it was seasoned so well! My meat was so tender, that it easily fell apart without the use of a knife. My mashed potatoes were creamy and had an incredible taste, which I can’t quite put my finger to. My vegetables were also tender and seasoned well. I am not a fan of squash, but the way the prepared it, made me want more. The ambiance was romantic with dim lighting and classy décor. The servers were polite and proper. This dinner meal was very much well worth the money.

Total mistake to come here. The place looks good and that’s about it. When I order a $ 17 Lomo Saltado I expect something pretty good. What was wrong? The rice wasn’t fully cooked, the fries were FROZEN fries, there were only 6 small pieces of steak, my dish was basically sautéed onion and fried frozen fries. Not worth it. ALSO, I simply asked for some hot sauce, he described two different kinds, I was unsure and he asked«do you want to try both?» I agreed. I wish I had a picture. It was a little tin that had about two table spoons worth. It was similar to watery tapatio. Then I get my bill and I was charged $ 1.00 for each sauce. He failed to mention anything about it costing anything.

One issue. as my anticuchos where ordered and as they came out the waiter told me that they just ran out of huacatai sauce. It was 11:30 am. And he mentioned the cook replaced the sauce with Huancaina sauce. Im peruvian and this is a NoNo and just was not right to taste. And I still had to pay the price at the end. The service was awesome and the waiter was great its just dissapointing when you drive out of town for a lunch with the wife to get an experience that was not there… That huacatai sauce is so unique it makes the dishes taste awesome.

I am a lover of the Limon in San Francisco and was not sure if I would have the same experience down here in the valley. Thankfully, the food was perfect — amazing ceviche, amazing beef skewers, amazing sauces! Great service! Thanks! Yummmm!

Great service. The Salmon dish never disappoints. I have to say that best salmon dinner I ever tasted in all my fine dining experiences would be the one served here at Limon. They have several kinds of empanadas, the carne is my favorite. My husband is always brave in trying different things, and so far, he cannot narrow down to what would be the best one. «They’re all good» he said. I’m not a huge fan of Mac and Cheese, but the one they serve here is truly one of a kind. My son loves them, and I do too. It’s so scrumptious. They take pride on their dipping sauce too. So good!

+ Pitcher of sangria! + Ceviche Limon + Don Walter empanadas + Peach bread pudding dessert //I was rly craving Peruvian food and this was the only restaurant listed on Unilocal.I initially wanted Lomo Saltado but opted for Salmon just to try something different. The Salmon was alright but it wasn’t amaaaazing. We also ordered the Half Chicken w 2 sides, which was okkkkk. I prob would’ve been happier with another round of appetizers instead

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. My boyfriend and I were visiting and we wanted to try something different for dinner. We Unilocaled this place up and we thought we would give it a try since we haven’t had Peruvian food before. This place is in a plaza with a few other restaurants. This would be prefect for a date night or a birthday celebration. It wasn’t very busy when we came on a Wednesday night. I would say this place a a bit pricey but it is all worth it. I would definitely come back again when I visit Fresno. Too bad this place is 150 miles from home! Ambiance– Outside of the restaurant has really calming with water fountains. We chose to sit outside in the patio, and the atmosphere was perfect Spring evening weather. Service– Our waiter was really nice. He gave us recommendations and checked on us every so often since there weren’t many customers. Food-We ordered the CEVICHELIMON for appetizer. Seafood tasted really fresh and flavors are perfect. For entrée, I ordered the famous SALTADODEPOLLO. It is basically soysauce with french fries mixed with onions and chicken with a side of rice. I thought it was a great combination. Flavors were great and the chicken was very tender. My boyfriend ordered ADOBODECARNE. It is a beef short rib with truffled mash potatoes. All dishes were delicious Drinks– We ordered 3 drinks and they are mixed really well and are pretty good. Overall, 3 drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees for a total ~$ 80 was all worth it. I can’t wait to come back.
