Michael Mendoza, OD

Mr. Mendoza is an excellent optometrist. I stumbled into the vision center because I was in need of contacts. I ended up getting an eye exam with him. He gave me helpful information for caring for my eyes properly and found that I was using the incorrect lenses for my eyes. He really knows his stuff. I would recommend him to anyone with eye issues.

Dr. Michael Mendoza is really good at his profession He’s at FirstSight Vision Services Inc.(next to the vision center inside Wal-​Mart) and does a great job at his exams and treatment, especially if you have eye issues like mine and require follow-​up treatment. He was really patient and thorough in all of my exams and was really down-​to-​earth and has a great sense of humor. I was there for follow ups for about 2 months, getting checked on every 2 weeks or so due to issues with my left eye and the contact lenses i was wearing. He kept trying different contact lenses and different types of therapy to figure out what was wrong with my eyes and what contact lenses would work for me. I was really appreciative of the time and effort he put into figuring out what was going on. Some optometrists, especially the ones that work as Kaiser, which is my secondary vision insurance, are so quick to look at you, diagnose it (often incorrectly), and then give u some sort of eyedrop, (which didnt work at all for me by the way). After an experience like the one at kaiser, i was relieved when Dr. Mendoza diagnosed me correctly and i didnt need any eyedrops or medications whatsoever. He also provided me with an extra pair of contact lenses for free, as well as trial packs of solutions and coupons for different products. I’d recommend Dr. Mendoza to everyone for your optometry needs. You’ll be happy you selected him!
