You would think it’s easier to order online and then go pick it up your way home… Well it wasn’t until we got home and looked at our food and what do you know? They messed up on one of our 2 entrée plate. I had ordered chowmein with black pepper chicken and Beijing beef, instead they gave me 2 portion of black pepper chicken. Not sure if they ran out and«forgot» to mention it? Or didn’t read the order thoroughly.

My problem with Panda Express isn’t the flavor of the food. The food always tastes pretty good. I am dissaoointed however in the portion size for the price. I ordered a two entrée with all chow mein, orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp, which costs an extra 1.25(pretty ridiculous). Not only was there no walnuts in the honey walnut shrimp the portion size is nothing close to what I remember from last time. I could pay 9 bucks at another Chinese place and get two meals if not more out of it. I will only come here again out of desperation.

Food is good. We like the food. It’s not the best Chinese food, but it’s Panda… It has its own taste and every once in a while we have a specific craving for Panda. We have only eaten inside a few times but typically choose the drive through. Unfortunately, the drive through takes FOREVER. :(we have waited up to 12 minutes before and have never been in line less than 5 min. The upside: the wait time is generally due to the need to make more of what we ordered, meaning it’s fresh. The downside: if it was a lunch break… definitely not an option.

After waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru(there was only 1 person in front of me! U would think they could ask her to pull into a parking spot while they cook her food so others can go thru the drive thru) for some steamed veggies and chow mein, I got home and the veggies were undercooked and I must have gotten the last batch of chow mein because it was all veggie pieces and smashed noodle pieces. Yay…

My wife decided to run over to Panda drive through and get us dinner. I must say, she was back quick. We all ordered Panda Bowls, To my great surprise, the food was a good inch below top of bowl. Never before has it been so little food. Don’t go there, they are greedy and don’t care about quality. It was done on purpose, how could they make same mistake on 3 bowls??? They keep raising prices and reducing quantity. It would have been cheaper to go to a sit down restaurant and get served than their drive through. Utterly disappointed …

So last night, I was inspired by that new extreme couponing show and decided to hole myself away at Target to see if I could save some money by buying enough salad dressing to last ’til the apocalypse. After all that wheelin’ and dealin’, I was hungry. and it was 10pm! I had spent 3 hours at the store, lost track of time and hadn’t fed my family. What a loser. I would normally have stopped at a Chipotle or Whole Foods or some other establishment that would make me feel better about myself.(Yes, I’d be feeding them at 10pm, but at least they’d be eating good food.) Sadly, all my usual choices were closed, so it was Carl’s Jr. or Panda Express. I remember there being a wok or two at Panda, so I thought, «Okay.it’s not really Chinese, but they create the illusion of actually cooking, so Panda wins.» I should have gone to Carl’s, because it may have been crappier food, but they would have eaten before 11pm. Good golly, folks. I know you’re busy. I know people pull up and order enough food for a small army. I know said people usually have no idea what they want and give you the, «Mmmkay, Um. hang on.» and that’s not your fault. What you could improve on, perhaps. is pulling people ahead to wait for their orders while you get the rest of us with one or two plates out and on our way. Also, if the girl at Carl’s Jr. can smile, so can you. Don’t get all, «We don’t have any of that. You have to wait five minutes.» on me. I’ve got five minutes. Hell, I’ll even wait ten, cause that’s half the time I’ll be in this line. It’s always in the air whether the food is going to be good or not. It is always easier to serve people crappy food when they’re in their car and not there to see you do it. Whatever. we all know the risks. I guess I should know by now that when I pull into a line and everyone has cut their engines to save gas, I’m in for the long haul. I just want it to be worth it. (Oh! And when I ask for extra sweet and sour sauce, I don’t mean a teaspoon of it in a cup.)
