Okay so you might notice that I checked into this place today. Early, mind you. Apparently the river park location has closed down so I have no other alternative but to go back to the one that I had always gone to. It was early in the day, so course they had the sourdough bread available. I’m really disappointed that the River Park location closed, now I feel like I’m being pigeon holed to this location even though I don’t want much to do with it. The sandwich was great and the meat is always delicious. The girl behind the counter was quick and pleasant. Still, based on history, one star. Yep.

No complaints. Walked in after 6pm and the two young ladies appeared upset to see me; I was the only customer. Within 5 minutes I was out of the store with a tasty sandwich.

This is the best port of subs in town. Subway sucks in comparison. This store is always clean and the sandwiches are always good. The owner’s are always there and the employees are friendly and fast. I love it!

Not a bad sandwich, of course I have to compare it to Subway… POS does have a better product. This location from the outside is a little shabby looking to much stuff on the windows some is good but this place has over done it slightly ! There seems to be rather an extensive menu, not having much time I opted for a an old school Turkey and Provolone on wheat. The bread was soft I like that… the sometimes dry texture that wheat has is not for me this was a decent roll. The mustard looked strange then I found out it was a mayo/mustard blend… I like heavy grain mustards so I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out… not bad. Yes it seems cheeses and meats are sliced to order, have to say I wasn’t expecting that… man you can tell the difference. Turkey tasted like turkey breast not thin pieces of processed various poultry product, shredded lettuce well it’s never fresh but I’ OK with it in a sandwich… regular tomatoes not Roma’s another bonus cold I’ve got to have regulars, sauces etc I’ll do Roma’s. No cucumber seems a little strange I like a refreshing slice or two of cuc in my sandwich. The pickles had definitely seen better days but I couldn’t really taste them so that worked out fine. Oh yes I do like the fact that there seems to be medium size, overall it is better than the other place ! $ 5.99 for a medium… it was worth it. Will I be back sure it’s convenient, tasty and a good deal.

Came here to grab a few sandwiches on Saturday while filling up my car at the Chevron Gas Station at the Shaw and Brawley location. It was after 4pm so they had their special. One 2 footlong sandwich for $ 10.99. I ended up get 2 of these so 4 feet of delicious sandwiches. I got the #1 which was Ham, Salami, Capicolla, Pepperoni and Provolone Cheese. The second one was the #13, Peppered Pastrami, Turkey and Swiss Cheese. What differentiates Port of Subs and Subway is that they slice the meat when you order. It’s like being at a deli. Unlike the prepackage meats that Subway uses on their cold sandwiches(cold cuts, club, etc). $ 24 for 4 feet of sandwiches which comes out to $ 6 a foot, which is only a tad more expensive than Subway but a whole lot more options on what sandwiches you can choose from.

More expensive than subway but there is no skimping on toppings, like pitting one jalepeno for every 3 inches of bread at subway and having to pay extra if u ask for more!

A much, much better alternative to Subway.

My neighborhood stop for a decent sandwich. Though they seem to use the same ingredients as Subway, Port of Sub’s sandwiches just taste better. On a recent visit, the clerk noticed that I had a really old sandwich club card; she quickly transferred all of my stamps to their new cards and I ended up w/enough stamps for two free sandwiches. She could have just told me my card was out-of-date and be done w/it, but off I went w/my free sandwich. Of course, it made me that much more of a loyal customer.
