Unethical business takes advantage of accident victims to make money. I was hit by a driver running a red light and taken by ambulance to the hospital. While in the ambulance, the tow company refused to take my car to my home as requested or accept a credit card. «We don’t take credit cards.» The totaled car was taken to their yard where I was told that ‘the insurance company should take care of it.’ 2 weeks later, when it was apparent that the insurance company would NOT be taking care of it, this tow company had no problem taking my credit card and towing the car to my home. The bill was $ 1,366.00 which I then paid on my credit card! Apparently, as they then told me, there were cars on the lot for months where the insurance company and the owner were still disputing the $ 40.00 daily impound fees. In that time, these cars had racked up thousands of dollars in bills. OH, NOWYOUTELLME! They smile in your face all the while knowing they’ll be making a ton of money off you and your confusion from a terrible accident. Thanks a lot for taking advantage of me when I in a car accident. Shame on YOU! You should have taken the car to my home as I requested and put it on my credit card. There’s a whole industry taking advantage of folks in terrible, tragic accidents and my experience started with Ray’s Towing and a completely unnecessary $ 1,366.00 bill to me on top of the ordeal. IF you’re ever in an accident, get your car out of impound immediately! –G
