Always loved this place. However, my last few visits have been not so great. My main reason for disappointment have been because of the bartender. Very rude, short guy that has been there for quite some time but is now able to serve beer rather than just clean up. Always has an attitude and rarely waits long enough to finish placing your order. I had to return my redbeer once due to a strong bitter taste and got attitude when I asked if I can have something different. Im not one to complain, but this was awful. Another occasion he left halfway through my 2 drink order and got mad when I told him that it wasn’t what I ordered. Aside from this particular bartender I always have a good time. Fun environment… love the jukebox… decent food… and typically welcoming staff. If you enjoy dive bars, bar food and a variety of jukebox music I recommend RedWave Inn.(What happened to the pool table?!)

Been going to this place for many years and always leave having had a great time and pretty sauced along with usually full. The bartenders are always friendly, especially the ones that have went there for a while. They know you by name and the tortas are the best! I don’t drink red beers but all my friends do and they always say they’re the best in town!

The service was great, the food was delicious, and the michelada was great. I will definitely go back. The place is small and welcoming, great place to just forget about everything, eat and have a great tasting beer.

Great selection of beer– They had Tioga Sequoia brews on draft. The one odd thing was«Monster Mash» by Bobby Pickett played at least 5 times in the 2 hours we spent there.

Love this place! Please try the carne asada torta and you have to have a red beer or two. Staff is friendly and always clean. I’ve probably had everything on their food menu and I have no complaints. Food taste great and authentic.

Food is amazing! Beer is ice cold, and customer service is great! What more could you ask for! I always order the torts a from here and it’s so good. They only sell beer and wines and potato vodka no liquor. Great place to relax and eat near Fresno state. Sarah is an amazing aspect to this place I was confused on something and she took the time to explain to me the situation she made sure I was satisfied before leaving

My UA recommended this place after I gave him some great recommendations on craft beer bars. This is not a craft beer bar. If you want to come and drink mainstream red beer then come here. Food is pretty bad too.

Love coming here on Thursdays .75 tacos. Happy hour specials on drinks. Large drinks and yummy. Arrive isn’t too bad here, they do get busy but that’s ok to flag someone down at the bar. They start selling at 6pm for .75 tacos and run out around 9pm, good to get there early

Still an awesome place to hang out. Been coming here since my college days. Food is delicious– tortas, tacos, burritos– the beers are a great price for the huge mugs. You can’t go wrong with this place. Small parking lot, but people are constantly revolving in/out this place so it’s no biggie. There’s a security guard at all times.

A few things. This is kind of a dive but it’s one of the best spots ever! The food is great just don’t expect to get it ASAP. It kind of takes awhile so if you’re hungry order your food right away. other wise sit back enjoy this spot. As mentioned they have a great selection of beer. My favorite is the red beer or chelada. Probably one of thw best i have tried.

I came here for karaōke with my friends and will come back again. :) The karaōke company makes sure to evenly mix early singers, new arrivals, and just the music. The food is great! I got their Buffalo wings; the coating is very crunchy, there’s tons of sauce(be sure to have tons of napkins handy!), and they’re not too greasy. My friends had nachos – the salsa verde is good, the meats are bite-sized, and there’s enough cheese and beans to cover all the chips. You might have trouble finding parking in their small lot; park on Maple or behind the building.

A very college like atmosphere. Been here a couple times over the years. Each time I’ve come here, it’s been with my brothers, who have been students at Fresno State. It’s nothing fancy, it’s a weee bit dark. It’s always been clean! Which is very important in my book. I thought there was a great selection of beers– I had my favorite beer from San Fiego, a Sculpin IPA. When in Fresno, Check it out!

Best price for beer I’ve seen anywhere food is great(tortas are the best I’ve had) the atmosphere is cool too best place to sit drink and watch a game! PS. If you’re sitting at one of the big tables check the drawers under them for notes read them for amusement and add one!

I’m a bulldog alumni so I think there’s a little part of me that will always inherently love the wave. Plus it’s walking distance from campus and the football stadium which makes it an easy go to after sporting events or just a long day in class. Things not to miss: 1) Red beer/michelada 2) Nachos(and other cheap mdxi/bar food) 3) Karaōke Wednesdays 4) Snake bites– i do mine with pear cider and Guinness 5) Taco tuesdays(i think they are like 25 or 50 cents each) They only serve beer and ciders here except for a little soju so don’t expect to order cocktails here ladies. Oh and you can get playing cards from the bartenders! Sounds odd but my friends and I love it. Kings cup, poker, and Egyptian war over huge mugs of beer and nachos? Yes please! Beer on tap list: Food menu:

My first bar review… And it’s you Red Wave. It should be. Supposedly a College atmosphere. 50 cent taco Thursdays and large beers for $ 5(domestic/budlight). Famous for their red beers and Mexican food. BOMB. It can be hard to find a place to sit on a busy night but who can beat the cheap tacos, the friendly workers and bartenders? Only one worker isn’t the friendliest but everyone else is fast and friendly. Plus the bartenders’ mom makes the pico de gallo salsa… OMGBOMB. Thursdays are the nights I go when I get the chance. Chill environment. Loud music. Cheap eats and a nice selection of beer. Parking can get packed. Red wave is one of my favorite bars to hit up. Did I already say BOMB?!

This is a pretty fun place! I was visiting the S.O. in Fresno and was not really sure what Fresno had to offer. We went to this little dive bar around the corner and we were both pleasantly surprised. First, do not expect anything glamourous, but do expect to have a good time. First, the drinks are the best part of the place. I ordered the Michelada because it is one of my favorite drinks but everyone was walking around with them. It was the BEST Michelada I have ever had. It had a lot of spice(thank you Tapatio…) and lots of chili powder/salt. I got it with Dos Equis beer and I was good to go. One more thing to mention, they’re HUGE. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty much a college night. They played music from the 90’s which always harkens me basic to a nostalgic time. They also had an awesome selection of karaōke songs. I did get up and sing a little AC/DC which was pretty amazing. The people here are really nice and there is a lot of seating options as well. When I am back in Fresno, I would have no issue coming here again.
