The shop is super clean and the service was great. I came in for my first tattoo as a walk in and I was helped immediately. Shawn did my tattoo and he was really professional but really humorous and friendly too. I didn’t get anything fancy but I would highly recommend this shop

Fantastic place to get a tattoo !! After being turned down from a couple places about my cover up i about nearly gave up until one of my coworkers recommended this place. Big shout out to Ruben, he threw a couple ideas at me and within an hour my coverup was done. I’m very pleased with his work and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. I rarely write reviews but I had to share my love for the family of Resistance Tattoo and J Christopher Esparza. I had been looking for a tattoo artist for a long time but could only find shops that did tattoos. There is a difference, an artist is able to create not duplicate, so it was extremely important for me to find an artist that could take an idea and make it unique. After speaking with several people J’s name continue to come up in the discussion so I decided to check out the shop. I walked into the shop amazed at the art work on the wall and the exceptional attitude and personality of everyone that worked there. I had found my artist and several years later continue to go back for more creative art. Not only do I continue to go back but my wife and daughter are customers as well! If you are looking for a tattoo artist and a shop full of people dedicated to their profession I highly recommend Resistance Tattoo and J Christopher Esparza.

Just got my back tattooed at Resistance Galley and it looks AMAZING! I’m so glad I didn’t rush out and just get tattoed by the first person who could get me in. I went in and had a consultation with JACE. We sat down and I gave him a basic outline of what I wanted in my black and grey tattoo but allowed him artistic freedom to fill in the rest (I find that telling a tattoo artist how to do his job never results in an amazing tattoo no matter how artistic you think you are). He drew it up and I was back in the shop getting my tattoo about a week later. JACE was a very cool guy and made me feel totally comfortable. He kept checking with me throughout the whole process to make sure I was ok. When I got up and looked at my finished tattoo I was blown away! IT IS FREAKIN” BEAUTIFUL!!! I went to other places and they were quoting me prices of up to $ 1,000. Including tip, I got out for under $ 500 (Yes people– tip your tattoo artist). I will definitely be going back to JACE at RESISTANCE!

After many hours of research for a new tattoo shop, I stumbled upon this one. I looked on their website and seriously all of their artists are so talented! I decided Ruben was the best for the tattoo I wanted. (I got the planets going up my forearm). I went in and Shawn helped me out and gave me a quote and what not and had Ruben call me. He made my appointment within a few days so that’s super cool. I went in yesterday Ruben was really friendly. He drew out my tattoo and we got to work. My tattoo took about an hour and a half and it turned out awesome. Not to mention the shop is really clean and welcoming. The music they play is really cool too. I seriously recommend this shop. Everyone in there is really nice and helpful and your piece is guaranteed to turn out rad.

After looking at all of the possible locations, I decided on this tattoo parlor. It didn’t have many reviews but the ones it did have were strong. I went in early Saturday and got greeted by Shawnessey. He is an awesome guy who is super nice. Started talking about a design that I had and he said no problem and gave me quote right there. I came back later same day for my appointment and he had already drawn up the design. It was really really good but had a few items that weren’t as accurate as I had hoped. It was hard telling a great artist you don’t agree with the work but hell it IS permanent. He said ok with no anger went back to the board and came back with what I thought was perfect. He then went to work on the tat. He was excellent and super informative. I really would recommend this place to everyone.

Okay, so walking up to the shop I was intimidated because all of the guys were standing outside just hanging out. As I walked into the shop, one of the guys followed me inside and instantly made me feel comfortable. He asked me what I wanted done and I told him. At this point he informed me of their $ 120 an hour charge and then said he would do my tattoo for $ 200. I felt like it was a reasonable price because it was a pretty big piece. He left me in the little waiting area and went to the back to draw up the tattoo at which point he said if I didn’t like the way he drew it there was no pressure for me to do it. It took him about 45-​min. I liked it so he set up and started on my tat. All in all I think it took over two hours for him to complete it. He wasn’t very talkative and I later found out he hadn’t been tattooing for too long.
The end result was good though. I love my tattoo! They are all very friendly and make you feel so comfortable.
The shop itself is so nice and clean. There’s artwork all over the walls and they keep their stations clean so it’s very reassuring.
They also have some great artists like Cat! Her work is amazing. I will definitely be going back to this shop.

I love this tattoo shop! I went in as a walk in with my mother and brother — all three of us were looking to get work done. Shawn and Ruben were super friendly and drew up three tats exactly how we wanted. The work was quick and quality for a crazy affordable price. This is now our go to tattoo shop and I can’t wait to have more ink done! Thanks guys!

My co-​worker and I went out an a spur of the moment tattoo adventure and Heather hooked it up! I wasn’t really planning on getting ink that day but the atmosphere of that shop was very inviting.
I got Baybayin Script (Traditional Filipino Script) on the side of my left leg. It came out CLEAN!
I would recommend this shop to anyone looking to get ink!

Seen a lot of ink… this is art! The shop is not just clean, it doubles as an art gallery. My tattoo is amazing. J and Noe basically do incredible custom work. I live out of town and need another piece done but I feel like I have been spoiled. I have visited several shops and I am having a hard time finding someone who has the same skill and artistic ability as J.

AMAZING… if you want a REAL ARTIST… that actually knows what the hell they are doing this is it…

Resistance has much more to offer than ink in your hide. They are also an art gallery, with an array of artists on display. The artists are genuine, and the owner is an amazing artist.
