fresno is the largest metro area in the country that is not directly served by an interstate freeway. so, this freeway is the only thing that connects 6 million people in the central valley to the rest of the world, and it is a pathetic sight. it regularly gets overlooked in favor of projects in norcal and socal. it is too narrow in most places and has some extremely dangerous 100-foot(literally) on ramps and exit ramps. in some places, you can even make left turns across oncoming traffic. what is that about?
