STAYAWAYFROMTHISCOMPANYATALLCOSTS!!! Their propane prices are double what other propane dealers are in the Treasure Valley… actually nationwide. We have been an excellent customer, paid bills promptly, yet they still charge a pick-up fee for their tank. They didn’t charge to deliver, so why do they charge to pick it up? Is that punishment for cancelling my account? If they didn’t price gouge I would still be a customer. Example: In September 2015 they wanted $ 2.61/gal. At an RV park in Oregon, they charged $ 2.09(this is when it occurred to me something wasn’t right). Ed Staub was charging $ 1.61/gal(their summer price was actually $ 1.25…WOW!) NO brainer, switch propane companies. Then Suburban tells me they could drop their price to $ 1.99…no thanks, still too much. Plus, why didn’t you give me a reasonable price to begin with. They PRICEGOUGE all over the U.S. Check it out. There are class action lawsuits against Suburban for price gouging.

There was a Suburban tank at the house that we purchased. The price of Suburban was three times higher than anyone else. We went with a different propane company. For an entire year we’ve been calling so that they come and pick up the tank. Each time I take time off for work to let them in and no one shows up. Today I had to call and put in a complaint. The person at the local office tried to hang up on us until we asked to put in a complaint with their corporate office.

They over charge! Always more per gallon then any other company, plus they charge a $ 50 a year service fee, and now a $ 200+ fee to get rid of their tank from our house. Their customer service sucks too since they hardly ever answer the phone! They claim this is why they cost more. Pfft, I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying you for your answering machine.

Had service because they owned the tank at our house when we purchased our home. Should have switched right away. Every time I would call to get a quote from them and other local propane providers they were always at least a dollar more a gallon. If I told them I was going to switch providers they would usually knock fifty cents off the price which I usually agreed to because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of switching providers but they recently quit budging on the price so I finally switched to Red Triangle(wish I would have done so three years ago). Red Triangle was $ 1.20 cheaper a gallon and was much easier to get in contact with. Suburban claims you will never get an answering machine but all they do is send you to their national number and they take a note and tell the local company the following day what you said(sounds like an answering machine to me). Now Suburban is charging a $ 200 «close out fee». Not much you can do about it. Just glad to be done dealing with them. I only gave 2 stars because their drivers were always friendly, on time, and locked the gate back up each time.

I wish I didn’t have to leave them a star at all to be able to write a review. Terrible propane company, get ready to spend alot of money. $ 90 just to come pick up their own empty tank that I lease. Plus the most expensive propane around the Fresno area. Call anyone else.
