My friend gave me two whole salmons but I dont have the proper tools to clean and cut the fish. I asked Golden Apple in the Asian Villages if they can clean and cut my salmons for me I offered them $ 10 instead they wanted $ 20 instead. With the poor customer service and their greediness I called TC fresh meat market on Chestnut & Belmont. I spoke to Bee in the meat department and I explained my situation and he said«you can give us any amount of money just bring the fish by» I was very amazed by his response most people are greedy during these economic times but not TC Fresh meat market. People like Bee at TC Fresh meat market appreciate their customers and gives excellent customer service, I’ll be supporting TC Fresh meat market often as I can. Golden Apple your customer service sucks and I wont be back spending my hard earn money.

With the growing numbers of Hmong markets springing up in Fresno, this market, also known as Khw Moos Loob, has become one of my places to shop for Asian food goods. There is butcher counter that provides a sizable selection of mostly pork cuts and fish but you can also find parts like chicken gizzards, pork brains and innards, seafood, and sometimes exotic meats such as alligator, turtle, or frogs. As it name states, the meats are fresh,(or fresher) than most places. ie. There are tanks full of a type of fish, turtles, and frogs, all live. This market also carries a pretty good selection of locally grown produce from from $ 1-$ 3/bunch or bag. It also carries a good selection of East to SE Asian food products as well as household products. I find the staff at this store a little more helpful the the costumers than other local Hmong markets, which is almost non-existent. They approach you first if you are looking a little lost. Or, if you do approach them first, they drop what they are doing to help you find what you are looking for. Inside the store, there are about three or four stalls of individual sellers of their own various products that are not part of the larger market.(Fashion, video, take-out, etc.) Because of this, the store is a little cramped and disorganized. I also found, on more than one occasion, that certain products are often out of stock. And for such a popular shopping place, they really should invest in better shopping carts, because the ones they have now, all six of them, look like they’ve been discarded by the homeless. Tip: Don’t park under the big billboard sign even if the parking lot is full. The pigeons will have their fun if you do.
