Target Optical

A few months ago I made an appt, and the day of my appt I show up 10 mins early. There’s a gal (who works there) at the little table in the middle, talking on the store phone. I walk around with my kids waiting for her to get off the phone so I can tell her that I’m here for my appt. 20 mins pass, and she’s still on the phone, and from what I over heard it was a personal phone call. A few mins later another woman walks in and starts looking at some glasses. The employee gets off her phone and starts talking to the woman who just walked in. At this point I’m standing by the table, waiting. I was getting anxious bc I didn’t want the doctor to think I was late for my appt. Come to find out, the woman who came in after me must have been a friend of the employee as they were just chatting it up about some gathering. When I’m over hearing this, I politely tell her I have an appt and I have been waiting. She then proceeds to tell me that the doctor had to leave early and that she had called and left a message on my phone. I had no missed call, nor a message left and I even verified my phone number. Needless to say I didn’t reschedule, and waited 30 – 40 just to be acknowledged (with me doing the work). Later, I came to find that the woman I dealt with is the manager for that department. I’ll take my business else where. The rest of this target store is better experience, just not the optical part.

This target has a very good food selection, also the prices are not bad, I’d say it beets Walmart any day especially cause they have some awesome rewards programs.

The doctor was friendly and there was no problem scheduling an appointment. I got in on the day and time I wanted and hardly had to wait 5 minutes to see the dr. Will be going back
