Absolutely love this place. If you like in and out this is better! Same price as a Big Mac at Macdonald and ten times better. Better quality better staff ugh I just love this place!

If you are looking for an alternative to cheap fast food, The Habit is a good place to go! The interior is bright, clean and spacious with a heated patio.
I ordered the #2 which consisted of a double char burger (added extra onions) with fries and a drink for around $ 8.00. The wait was not too long at all.
I was expecting a unique tasting burger but it reminded me of In-​N-​Out. Don’t get me wrong, I love that place but while the burger I had here was pretty good, I was expecting something a bit more creative and honestly better than a standard fast food burger. The portion size I ordered was very filling and they were generous with the extra onion. The fries were nicely done and the onion rings were crispy. For dipping, they gave us BBQ and ranch sauce.
For the price I paid, I was expecting something of a higher quality. The food was not bad at all but I didn’t see the need to spend so much on burgers, fries and drinks.
I would go here again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here.

Great tasting food & wonderful Staff provide very friendly service (always have been pleased). Right now I am waiting on my order the final 15 minutes before they close and still the staff were friendly, took my order with a smile. I started a few years ago with ordering the CharBurger on Whole Wheat bun. Now I mix up my taste by ordering the Cobb Salad. I highly recommend this place and anything in the Menu is Great. Try the burger, shake, fries (potato & I on), salads.

They food is good and filing is not what I thought it was going to be the fries could use a little salt but other then that I don’t have any thing bad to say

One of my favorite stops in Fresno when I’m in the mood for a burger with fresh ingredients. Try the Santa Barbara style burger. Very fast service

We are a regular at this Habit, only «fast food» place we go to. Overall food is good and it doesnt make you feel gross after you eat their food. Their fries and ranch are my personal favorite thing on the menu again everything is pretty good here. :) Santa barbara cobb salad is my favorite item and ofcoarse their char burger protein style is awsome, messy but delcious. You never get that overly full type of way which is good when you wanna cheat and go crazy on some good burgers.

Good burgers! Had the one on sourdough but subbed at veggie burger patty. It was delicious! The fries were fresh and our ToGo order was ready within 20 mins on a busy Friday at lunch. The person who took the order on the phone was pleasant! The only thing I didn’t like was that I had to pay for the whole take out order in advance with a credit card but hey, whatever. Overall, it was good

If you’re expecting a fast food burger, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised. If you’re expecting anything better than that, you’re going to be disappointed.
They use American cheese, and if they had used to any cheese besides that, I’d give them 4 stars. The grilled onions reminded me of a White Castle slider. Santa Barbara style with avocado on sour dough was a nice upgrade to their traditional char burger, although at 930 calories not a sandwich I could finish on my own.
The tempura green beans were my favorite, and such a nice option instead of fries. If tempura green beans sound like something you might like, order them. I see myself stopping in just for those in the future.
The wait time was a few minutes, and always worth it to get a freshly-​made order.

I usually get the chicken club, but lately it hasn’t been so good. After you finish it, you feel all the oil in your mouth. Also, it smells super funky outside! Like sewage. It just makes my appetite go away.

Best burger ever! Great staff! Read the reviews and almost did not go I am so glad I ended up going. My family got stuffed & my kid who is so picky can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your great service and food!

My husband and I really like a good burger! Especially a fresh burger and of course yummy fries. The habit has been on our list of places to try. While in Fresno last week we were pleasantly surprised to find a location. This location is in fig garden village (one of my favorite spots in Fresno).
We ordered our burgers — for our family of four it was a little over $ 30…more expensive than McDonalds but cheaper than a typical sit down place. Our order was made wrong at first but the staff quickly made it right — very nice accommodating staff.
There are very few spots to eat inside the restaurant so we chose to sit outside on the covered patio. A hot day in July is not the day to sit on the patio! They really need some sort of cooling out there. It’s Fresno… it’s hot 8 months out of the year! It’s not like you’re eating ice cream either — you’re eating a hot and hefty meal.
As for the burgers they were good… not great, but good. The patties seem to be Sysco grade — regular frozen patties. The fries were just okay.
Would we come back? Maybe but it’s not a mandatory stop.

In the first place I like my burger medium rare they said they could not cook it ess than medium well which is cardboard and without juice I don’t know if it’s because of the quality of their meat or because they are anal about being sued but I’ll tell you a good restaurant will make me a medium rare burger without argument Girl who helped me was indifferent couldn’t care less about me being un happy about having to eat a burger WD besides that Ill give burger a 5 it could have been a 10 is it weird to date and not overcooked however it was well put together

My wife and I wanted to try a new hamburger so we came to this place. The cashier Angeles did a phenomenal job recommending some great burgers. Service was quick and food was hot. Great job and keep it up.

ALWAYS GREAT BURGERS, FRIES AND HELP YOURSELF REFIL ON BEVERAGE. ONLY ONE THING BAD TO SAY CONGESTED ENTRANCE AND WAITING LINE TO PLACE ORDERS.
Why don’t you take out the small seating area to the right of the beverage and condiment area put that setup there and move you register to the other end of the counter and have pick up orders were the beverage/​condiment station was. Or just move to a bigger space.

I have tried to eat here several times, not necessarily every time at this particular location. I am just not wowed by their food, at all.
The burgers are just MEH to me. I really wanted to like them, the name ‘Charburger’ really sounds yummy. There was nothing that set my burger apart from any other fast food burger and to me it didn’t really have much of a flavor, it was really bland. I also am a big fan of grilled onions and general and those seemed promising, but they lacked ANY flavor whatsoever.
On another visit here, I ordered a Chicken Club and I substituted my fountain drink for a shake. My combo came out to over $ 13!!! The quality of the food was what I could have expected from a Carl’s Jr chicken sandwich and paid a lot less.
The service is ok, I just found it to be really intrusive on my last visit. While I was dining in, the girl that took my order came to my table and asked to clear items away. Now, they give you a black ‘plate’ with your Chicken Club. I was eating my Chicken Club and my plate was on my tray. She came over and asked if she could clear it for me, I said ‘No’ and she said ‘Well can I take that…’ and she was pointing to my black plate that my sandwich was going to go back on once I set it down. I had already said NO and you see that I am still eating, so why do you continue to ask??? Do they want my DNA or something??? LOL.
The food does not taste good enough to get me to go back and the prices are too high for any meals outside of the Charburger meals, so I’m done

The quality of the food here is self evident, so I’ll not waste space here to talk about how good the Char burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches are. What I do want to emphasize is the quality of the team they have: cashiers are always polite and courteous, and the kitchen staff are always working hard to get great food out fast (but certainly without the mediocre fast-​food taste).

Nothing really worth craving for, just had to try it a few times to give it a fair review. So far I can see it being a decent burger spot but a bit on the sweet side for my taste (regarding their sauce of course)…
Basically u order and then pickup the food when it’s done (cafeteria style dining). I don’t mind this at all, it’s a burger joint and I don’t think tipping should be necessary.

The single burger is $ 2.95. The double is $ 3.95. Cheese is 55 cents extra. Fries $ 1.95. Drink $ 1.70. Good prices individually but really adds up when getting combo. The teriyaki single burger is $ 3.25. Veggie burger $ 4.99.
I like the single burger and teriyaki single burger. The lettuce is chopped very nicely in the burger. The burger is presented nicely. The burger and fries here are pretty typical of better burger places. I like the grilled onions on the burger. The meat goes clunk in my stomach every time I eat here (may be just me and yes I’m chewing).
The place is kind of small so hard to find a good place to sit down. Also hard to maneuver around people even when not busy. Pay attention to where line starts.

I have this weird issue where I never want The Habit until /​after/​my husband orders a burger and I try it. I’m always surprised by how good it is. I’m a normal cheeseburger type of person, so I find it strange that I have to order their burger with cheese. Also surprisingly tasty is their grilled chicken salad.
I give 5 stars simply because we come here often and are always treated well by the employees, we always get our food quickly, and have gotten free ice cream numerous times (we usually go pretty late when they’re about to close the place up). Otherwise, I’d consider it one of the best burger places in Fresno (although I’m partial to In n Out).
