I have been to several MedSpa’s — I found Elite MedSpa through a Groupon for Microdermabrasion, IPPhotofacial, and Radiofrequency. The office felt more like a hospital then it did a medspa. It was not a comforting place. The doctor was awkward and the staff while nice just did not seem very professional. The first time I came to the location for my consultation they had me fill out forms. However, the staff all went to the back and so when I completed my forms no one was at the reception desk to assist me. I stood around forever waiting for them. I called a few times — ‘Hello’. Still no answer. Finally after about 15 minutes I walked to the back and found someone to assist. They have camera and technology to take a picture of your face and see your pigmentation and your skin — which was cool and a bonus. However, when the doctor came in — this was the first place that made me feel ugly and disgusting and flawed. She picked me apart and was clearly trying to sell products to me. Again, I have been to several high quality medspa’s and I take good care of my skin. I don’t have amazing skin — I have some freckles — I grew up in southern California I have some pigmentation, but I am 26 years old — I do not have scars or acne, most people cannot even tell the difference if I’m wearing makeup or not. I have solid skin. However she was trying to sell me on botox and facial fillers and all these items to fix my face. She pointed out how I have all these problems and need all these treatments. It was very demoralizing and made me feel really ugly and self-conscious. Every other place I have been to are more motivating and — simply, their style is more pleasant. They encouraged and even was clear when they did not think I needed a particular treatment. They recommended ways to keep my skin and yes they promoted their products but they even gave advice for quality items that were cheaper I could purchase at Target or Walmart if I did not want their items. Elite Med Spa was not the same. They were not motivating and trying to sell me products a little too much. When I went in for my appointment the room was just not as calming as other locations. There was a phone in the room and the Dr. and her staff kept stopping treatment to answer the phone. Also the doctor talked throughout the whole treatment about work and politics. Small talk is nice, but I rather she focus on the activity at hand and I just rather relax and let her do the work. However, though she talked throughout the treatment — she never explained the steps that were happening. I will be sitting there and then she squirts cold gel on my face — no warning to prepare for the cold feeling. Another time when she started the radiofrequency it has an odd zapping feeling and of course she started in on my face without warning or hint — ‘hey you might feel a zapping feeling — let me know if it gets uncomfortable’. There was no update on what treatment was next and I just felt an onslaught. And again the phones ranging in the room and they would stop to answer it. They would around and shuffle to get products. However, I was not impressed. I did not walk out feeling like I did something good for my skin. They are very nice people, but that’s all. I would not come back.

I love this med spa and Dr. Sheila Calderon. She listens to your concerns and explains everything very thoroughly. The staff is always kind enough to accommodate my busy schedule and provides the very best treatments. I’ve also been impressed by the way Dr. Calderon keeps up with the latest laser procedures and state-of-the-art technology. I would highly recommend Elite MedSpa!

I went there for toe fungus removal(yes gross, but that’s what I get for going to a shady nail salon) Everyone was so nice and friendly. Dr C was amazing as well, I will be back for skin care issues that she found. Thanks again!

I went for CO2 Fractional Laser on 1÷30÷2013 for extreme acne scars. It has been two and a half months since and I have seen dramatic results. Because of the extreme scaring I plan on doing it again in few weeks in certain spots for even better results. The staff there is so friendly and knowledgeable. I am 33 years old and have never looked better. This procedure also takes years off. I get carded everywhere.
