Great food and fast service! I came here with my boyfriend on a ski trip(we were staying at a hotel nearby) and we were both craving enchiladas after a long day on the mountain. This place had much better reviews than other local Mexican/Tex-mex joints, and was a one minute walk from our place, so we decided to give it a shot! Our waiter promptly sat us and brought us complimentary chips and salsa. The house salsa really is delicious. We ended up ordering house margs because it was happy hour(NOTE: it says, and I read it too late, you can only get happy hour pricing in the bar area!). Their house marg was somewhat disappointing, a little watered down and almost tasted like there was lemon-lime Gatorade in it. But, they do serve it in 20-something different ways, so next time I would try a flavored one. The waiter gave us a third margarita at happy hour price after we realized that the first two were not going to be because we were in dining(very nice on his part!). Now the food! Giant portions, I had leftovers that served as a whole other meal. I got the shrimp and crab enchiladas and my guy got the avocado tostada and chicken enchilada combo. Both were delicious! Authentic beans and rice on the side, yummy enchilada sauce. I was not disappointed! We don’t frequent Frisco often, but I’m sure if we ever came back and were craving Mexican, we would definitely return for the food.

very good. crowded on a saturday night. my chili colorado was a bit disappointing. the«tender» chuncks of beef weren’t so tender. my wifes veg burtio was great and my son’s combo plate look good. chips were hot and fresh and salsa fantastic. service good and friendly. atmosphere very casual. I want to go back and try something different next time. price point fair. most dishes between 12 and 20 dollars… you won’t go home hungry.

Great value! Affordable Mexican and HUGE portions. I ordered the skirt steak(Mexican steak on the menu) and it was cooked perfectly(asked for medium rare). There were two large pieces and instead of rice and beans I opted for some grilled veggies and those were tasty too. The flavors of the steak was enough but there was a salsa topping with guac etc so it made it even juicier. The complimentary chips and salsa from the beginning were also very good. Yum!

We’ve been here twice now. Both times we were greeted and seated with little wait. We got our chips and excellent salsa right away. The menu is extensive with lots of great options. The staff was very friendly and the food was great, as was the atmosphere. This is our new favorite Mexican food restaurant in Summit County. Five Stars is no exaggeration!

Great food and service. I had the Colorado beef burrito and was very pleased with this meaty and large dish. The beef was tender yet had texture. My cousin had the #15 combination plate and was blown away by the taste and size of the dish itself! Our server, Me’nos was prompt and helpful with suggestions. I wouldn’t hesitate going back or recommending!

Hubby and I came here for our first night in Frisco and loved it. Here’s what we had: Complimentary chips and salsa– We plowed through it, it was so good. Wish they automatically refilled the salsa and chips when they ran out, but they had no problem doing so when we asked for more. I ordered the following: «Arroz con pollo Strips of chicken breast sautéed in special sauce w/onions, green pepper & mushrooms, served over a bed of rice w/melted cheese, garnished w/avocado & tomato. No beans. «as my waiter recommended it. It was delish and this could easily serve 2 people, maybe even 3 if you’re not starving. The cheesy rice was hidden under the chicken, veggies and tomato sauce(aka special sauce). I absolutely loved this, as did my husband. I also ordered a side of refried beans which was MASSIVE and delicious. My husband had a combination plate that had a burrito, chile relleno, and enchilada. He loved this and became a member of the clean plate club but, admits, it was a lot of food. Would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Just visiting Frisco for a couple of days. Got to town last night and we were starving. Mexican food sounded a whole heck of a lot better than KFC in what we could see from our hotel. So we walked over. The place was packed! We were seated at an empty booth very promptly. Our waiter, I wish I could remember his name, was awesome, upbeat, very friendly and helpful. He called each of his patrons señorita or amigo, which I’m sure is just part of the job, but it was cute. He reminded me of a little Hispanic Joe Pesci. I ordered a regular margarita and my bf got a tacate. The margarita was terrible. But that’s what I get for taking the cheapest option. Now for the grub!!! Bottomless chips and salsa! Heck yea! But kills me every time! I eat all of the salty yummy crispy spicy goodness and then I’m full 3 bites into my meal. I ordered carne asada and the bf ordered Hacienda Grill which was carne asada, grilled chicken and bacon wrapped fried shrimps. Holy wow! No joke, this carne asada is the best I have ever tried. Was sliced sooo soooo thin and unbelievably tender and somehow cooked exactly how I ordered it, medium rare. The tortillas were perfection as far as flour tortillas go. Yum. So I built myself a little carne asada taco and one word: . Boyfriend really loved his meal too. I tried a bacon wrapped shrimp and it was delicioso as well! Soooo much food! We tried to finish it but just ended up with achy tummys. Won’t have to eat for the rest of our trip! Go here. Just do it. So good.

Wow. Great food! I was happy to find a good Mexican restaurant. I went to an upscale one here in Frisco that was not good at all. This place was just the opposite!!! Fresh and tasty!!! Friendly staff. The chili Colorado burritos are awesome! Try it if you like not spicy chili and lots of pork!

Highly recommended this place for Mexican food in the area. From the moment we walked in service was excellent. I was barely taking my coat off and they brought us chips and salsa. Yum!!! We ordered a fajita plate to share and it could have been for 3 adults. Big plates! We also had an enchilada on the side, also good! Next time I’m in the area snowboarding this will be my go to Mexican spot.

I love this restaurant. It’s not fancy, but it’s good solid tex/mex food. I’ve never had their flavored margaritas, but the regular one is awesome. As previous reviewers noted, there is a huge selection of items. Many of them are vegetarian — spinach tamales, even! Their salsa is house-made & excellent. The service is fast & friendly, the portions are large and the prices are decent. If you’re looking for tex-mex, this is the place to go in Frisco.

Excellent Mexican grub and speedy, friendly service. Came here for an apres snowboard dinner and couldn’t be more satisfied. The menu is a huge two-pager with plenty of tasty sounding options. I had the Sopa Costena — a HUGE steamy bowl of tomato broth with shrimp, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and cilantro. As in, I could dunk my head in it, that’s how much soup is was. Delicious. My husband had a combo plate with a tamale, chile rolano, and enchilada, with beans, rice and slaw on the side. All delicious, and so much food! Our server Manuel and all the other staff were super speedy and friendly, and couldn’t be happier. We had barely sat down and we’re still taking off our coats when they came over with water and chips and salsa. Who says strip mall restaurants can’t be fantastic!

This restaurant was ok(not great) and we probably would return again if the service was better. The prices were reasonable and food came out quickly(albeit one order was wrong). The sopapillas were good but needed less whipped cream and more honey. Once we got our check the waiter basically ignored us and never came back for us to pay. When we finally brought him the bill he was busy sitting talking with other customers and looked confused as to what we were trying to get him to do. It was a little odd. Maybe we were just there in an off night.

I have this affinity for the cheese enchiladas, the hard shell taco and the beans and rice. As a native Californian I am VERY opinionated about the right and wrong way to do my Mexican food. The closer you get to Mario’s Fiesta RIP from Berkeley, CA the closer you are to getting a five rating. So I admit I am very narrow-minded with my Mexican food. A couple of things that annoy me about living in the south. They don’t use cheddar cheese. I’m not a fan of queso or Mexican white cheese in my enchiladas. Enchilada sauce should be rich in flavor not a mole but a gravy. It certainly SHOULD not have any tomato sauce overtones. This is a complex sauce that deserves chills and simmering. Stop dumping cans of tomato sauce and jalapenos onto my enchiladas. Please stop! Ok so I’m In Denver I’m closer to the West Coast and I got my Mexican food the way I like my Mexican food. Hot to the touch plates with thick refried bins, hard shell tacos, cheddar cheese enchildas and chips and salsa and that little bit of iceberg lettuce that is always on real Mexican food to garnish. So happy. I’ll even give a free pass to the a-hole waiter go. This was the real deal.

Awesome authentic Mexican food. You can tell by the other patrons that this is where the locals eat. Plates are huge, food is fresh and tasty. We have eaten here dozens of times with big groups and everyone leaves happy.

Authentic mexican food at its finest in the mountains. Not the best I have ever had but its still damn good. I will return but the choice between here and Chimayo is going to be a hard choice.

I have been to Hacienda Real now more times than I can count and have never had a bad experience. To me, there is nothing better than some warm chips and queso after a day on the slopes. Well, any day there is nothing better than queso, but unfortunately for me(fortunate for my waist), Hacienda Real is a hike from Denver. So, every chance I get to visit Hacienda Real, I am there. This past weekend I visited and had an excellent experience once again. My go-to entrée are the fajitas. The meat is seasoned deliciously. I prefer to get the combo with chicken and meat so I get the best of both worlds. I haven’t really tried any other entrees other than the fajitas here because they are delicious. Plus, I am a creature of habit when it comes to Mexican. So, my favorite thing at Hacienda Real is the queso. It is the white type that you find on the east coast. If you know me, you know white queso is my weakness and I am always searching for places that offer it. Hacienda Real’s queso is spot on. It has just the right amount of spice and the consistency is perfect. Quality queso is more difficult than one would think to make. It is also such a difficult feat to find a place in Colorado that has white cheese dip. So, I am thrilled that Hacienda Real has it. Margaritas are good and strong. Chips are always warm and fresh. Service is always great. Prices are a bit higher than what I have seen at similar Mexican restaurants, but I am thinking this is due to the location. Regardless, I highly recommend Hacienda Real if you are in Summit County and looking for some high quality Mexican!

Hacienda Real is located in the same shopping plaza where Walmart is and offers authentic Mexican food. We came here for lunch and were immediately seated. We didn’t have to wait a minute before the server came and brought us water and chips. Then another server took our drinks order and handed us the menus. I should warn you that the portions are so enormous that two people can eat from one dish. I had the chicken chimichanga and couldn’t finish it. I also tried the beef Milanese real which was delicious as well. And I stole a few seasoned French fries from my brothers plate and I could have had them all! Hacienda Real’s prices are very affordable and I would recommend this place if you are looking for traditional dishes from Mexico and great service.
