Precision Family Dentistry

Come here if you want a thorough cleaning and exam! They you tell you ahead of time treatment options recommended but not covered by insurance, i.e. chorhexidine rinse, and you can decide if you want it or not. Very happy with my dentist and his staff! I definitely recommend them!

My family and I use to go hete, but continually had billing issues. My wife and I both have insurance, so we would get double billed, over charged, etc. We ended up turning them into our insurance companies for fraud. Their billing person (Aldon, I think) was the main issue and they have since gotten rid of him, but too late. We are currently at Frisco Center Dentistry, but they have scheduling issue and double insurance issues, too (no fraud yet).

To make a long story short, this place is very disorganized, the staff seems disgruntled, and somehow, although I was scheduled for a regular checkup and cleaning, I left Precision Family Dental not having my teeth cleaned. Seriously. How do you go in for a cleaning, spend 45+ min there, and walk out not getting a cleaning? Money. That’s how. They wanted to negotiate back and forth over a cleaning that insurance normally covers. I have never had to pay anything extra, until this office. And they never really explained what is so different about their office that my insurance wouldn’t cover it. Anyway, they started at $ 400, eventually coming down to $ 240. And when I declined, I was literally told «Let me show you out». Not cool. I hope they don’t bill my insurance for the cleaning.
On the plus side, no cavities and apparently I have great looking roots. So there’s that.

I’ve now paid for 6 appointments here between my wife and kids.
The good: The office is clean and the staff are friendly. They have nice benefits like text messaging you to remind and confirm appointments.
The bad: This is one of those places that will nickel and dime you for everything. Need a cancer screening where we simply look inside your mouth? $ 20. We noticed your gums bled a bit during the cleaning — need us to squirt water on them? $ 30.

Dr Patel is AWESOME. Stop looking and go there. He’s honest, caring, professional, reasonable, and highly skilled. My daughters love him too.
