My daughter want some cupcakes So usually we always drove around Dallas. I’m so happy because this one is close by our house. The cupcakes are delicious and moist. Definitely will come back ;)

Stopped by today to pick up some cupcakes. The strawberry was fresh, light and delicious. The wedding cake and birthday were outstanding as usual. This place is a gem! Love their«small cakes»!!

Great cupcake place, with loads of different flavors. I do think that they put a little too much frosting… a little less and they would be perfect. Their cookie sandwiches are also really good! Their strawberry cupcakes are amazing… with really strawberry pieces in them. The kiddo loves the chocolate cupcakes… and the hubby likes the brownie bites! Definitely check this place out.

The wedding cake cupcake are soooo good. The cake was very soft and moist. The icing was very flavorful. They were very generous with their icing. Too bad I’m watching my calories intake because these cupcakes definitely make you want more than one. The women who worked there were fantastic and very polite. I would rate this cupcake one of my top three and I would definitely recommend small cakes cupcakery to a friend.

The customer service is terrible. We were walking up as they were closing. I had called ahead and told them I was on my way and what I wanted boxed up. Instead of showing good customer service and allowing me in, the girl locked the door and completely ignored me. My dog food store gives better customer service than this shop. Disappointed.

Smallcakes always has great cupcakes available and I love their weekly menu with new, interesting flavors. Sometimes I wish the rotating flavors were a little more regular, as I always find one I love but have to wait for it to return! I love their hours too, closing at 8pm on most nights! I got the strawberry and wedding cake on my most recent visit. I’m not ashamed to tell you I ate the strawberry cupcake in the car. It was moist, delicious, sweet and decadent. I love the strawberry flavor. Wedding cake, I actually set behind something on my desk and forgot about it for 2 days! It still tasted great when I finally got to it, with that really familiar almond flavor that I love. It was a little less moist than I’m sure it was on the first day, but that’s my fault, and it was still really good. My only comment is that the employees need to have a refresher on hygiene when serving food. Typically high school age kids work here, at least when I’ve been by. I watched the girl working serve another customer before me, take her payment, place my cupcakes in a box and take my payment, with no gloves and no hand-washing. I understand the cupcakes have a wrapper, but when putting them down into the box, it is almost impossible to not touch the abundant frosting protruding over the sides of the cupcake.

Stumbled upon this place by accident. We’ve tried MANY cupcake shops and this is by far the best. The cupcakes are wonderful of course but my favorite was the brownie cups! Can’t wait to go back!

In what appears to be a former self-serve froyo shop, let’s hope the cupcake craze lasts longer than the former tenants. Cupcakes are large and moist, cream cheese and buttercream frosting both generous and sweet. Coffee leaves something to be desired. They make no attempt at disguising the Keurig coffee machine or Green Mountain coffee K-cups front and center behind the counter. I guess stick to what works. Overall, beats making an entire batch of cupcakes and tempers the sweet tooth.

My husband wanted to try these, so he picked some up. He had the birthday cake, and got me yellow cake with chocolate icing. It was the best cupcake I’ve ever had. Not too much icing, it was soft and creamy, and the cake itself was incredibly moist. Just perfect! I like the cake more than the icing and it seems like at most other boutique cupcake places the cake is dry and there is an over abundance of sugary frosting on top. I have sweet teeth so I will still eat them from other places, but this one was truly remarkable! Looking forward to trying more flavors.

I dig a cupcake occasionally and they have cupcakes.(: However, only large, full sized cupcakes. I liked the smaller ones so that I am not forced to pick one flavor from the 15ish that they had. Cupcakes are about 3.50 a piece. Ever so slightly less if you are buying by the dozen. I had the birthday cake and they were so kind as to make me one without the sprinkles(personal preference, I just don’t like the little round hard sprinkles… but it looked very festive). I am also all about the icing and they gave me some extra at no charge. The cake was super moist that the extra icing was almost too much. Almost.(: Boyfriend had one of the specials they make daily, boston cream. He said the cake wasn’t moist at all so I shared some of mine so he could see the difference. Disliked that it wasn’t consistent among flavors. They have a weekly calendar of which cupcakes would be available daily. Some are available every single day, others are not. Boston cream is on Sunday.

It is just wrong that they are located so very close to home. Whenever my kids host a play-date, a trip to Smallcakes is imperative. LOL! And of course I have to get one for myself too… EACHANDEVERYTIME! My most favorite is the strawberry… Flavorful, moist cake and the frosting too is so good. Also I am not a big fan of super sweet frostings and theirs is just right. YUMYUM!

This is my favorite cupcake place in the area. Every time I have been here, they have wonderful customer service and the cupcakes are delicious! I love that the cake is moist and flavorful. My favorite so far is the Chocolate Covered Banana.

I’m sorry, I will not«check-in» when we go here, because I do not want public record of how often we stop in lately! Sadly for my diet, this little shop is on our route several times each week. The shop is so cute, colorful and cheery. The staff have always been very friendly to my kids and me, even whipping up a custom cupcake when we didn’t see what we needed(ok, maybe not needed…). They seem to always have a good inventory available when we go, much more than other places we’ve tried. Some of our favorites: salted caramel pretzel, Boston cream pie, Oreo, and the oatmeal cookie cup filled with caramel and butterscotch chips– amazing!!! I think the cupcakes are $ 3.50 each, and they have a frequent buyer punch card, which is another way to track how often you go :-(. One little perk I haven’t always seen at cupcakeries– you can add a cup of coffee brewed fresh from their Keurig, several flavor and decaf options, real half and half, not powder, and they don’t laugh when you ask for 8 of them to add to your coffee.

Cupcakes were good just way to much frosting for my liking. They also have a rewards card that no one told me about. I don’t like places that have secret rewards.

Ummmm… Yum! Was visiting friends and saw the sign for«small cakes.» I walked in and picked out some deliciousness. Stop in here if you’re in or passing through town. Not your traditional cupcake shop. It’s small cakes!

Yum, yum and YUMMMMMM I love that this place is right down the street from me. It’s a dream come true to order from and pick up from. For every 6 cupcakes you order you get 1 free. Which I think that is amazing since I usually order for other people and events and this gives me a treat on my own. These cupcakes are decadent and heaven in your mouth. Amazing! My favorites have been the Birthday Cup Cakes and Cookies N Cream. Can’t wait to try more. The cakes are always moist and loaded with icing.

My BF surprised me with cupcakes from here. He said the girl helping him was really friendly and together they picked out strawberry and lemon for me to try since I’m not too crazy about chocolate. The flavor didn’t taste too artificial and the cupcakes are moist with more than enough icing. Came back to see what else they offered. We tried the berry cupcake parfait, m&m cookie sandwich, and red velvet cupcake. LOVED the parfait! It wasn’t too sweet and they make it fresh to order. My red velvet was just what I expected. I wasn’t too crazy about the cookie sandwich though. Can’t wait to try more of those specialty flavors!

So off the top I took a star off because I was under the impression Brownie 2.0 was more than a decadent chocolate cupcake with 3 or 4 brownie nuggets on top. For some reason I thought there would be cupcake with brownie in the middle. Regardless, this is a neat place, conveniently located. Delicious fare. But I don’t need to get fatter than I already am, soooooo I won’t be frequenting this place too often.

I can’t rave about my service experience as I did not order the food, but I can’t stop thinking about how delish these cupcakes are so I wanted to leave a review to keep them going :) Upside: The texture and flavor are spot on. I am not a chocolate cake eater, but I ate a whole chocolate cupcake. The icing is super fluffy and just enough sweetness. I wish everyone’s icing could have their consistency. I also tried the birthday cake cupcake. It was also phenomenal. I am dreaming of when I can allow myself another cupcake or two, so I’d recommend this place for sure. Downside: These cupcakes are pricey even for a large quantity.

These are pretty good(3.5 star round up to 4). I tried the Chubby Honey which is a vanilla based cake with a white frosting, chocolate sauce drizzle and topped with pretzel; everything had a honeycomb flavor/spin to it. This one was unique and good. I also tried a strawberry(even though lemon is more of my fav), and it was moist and tasty. DH tried a red velvet and gave it a 4⁄5 stars. The cake was not dry and the flavor was good — light/not intense, but good. The frosting was super sweet. The price… speciality/3.25 each.
