Really great place and very good food. I couldn’t give full five stars because we had to send our pork chop back and even when it was returned it is still pretty rare. The ham and bean soup along with the kale salad was amazing! We will be back, but can’t get the double pork chop if they can’t cook it through.

Best meal I’ve had in Frisco. I’ve been to this town many times and just discovered Tavern West yesterday.
My buddy had the double bone in pork chop and I had the mushroom risotto. Both were cooked perfectly and the portions were huge.
They did everything right and we’ll be back.

Don’t miss the pork chop — amazing flavor and cooked to perfection!
I was in search of a steakhouse that was local to Frisco and came across Tavern West. It’s a little outside of the main downtown area, but looks to be in an up-and-coming extension of the city. The inside décor is comfortable and casual.
At first I wasn’t overly impressed with the breadth of the menu in terms of wine and entrees. But went with the daily bruschetta and the pork chops. Ended up being very impressed with both!
If you’re looking for a nice casual and rustic spot to grab a quick bite, I’d say this is a great spot to checkout.

Resturant was very cozy. The food was really good. Three of us had the pork chops and one had the chicken. I also had the oysters which were ok. The wedge salads looks very good as well. My biggest complaint was not with our waitress, she was very good. The overall service was extremely slow. Took forever for the food to come out. One table behind us who came in 15 minutes after us for their food 10 minutes before us and it was the pork chops as well. Had the service been faster I would have given 4 maybe 5 stars.

Rough experience. After making a reservation, we were told our table wasn’t ready and waited at the bar for about 10 minutes for a table to open up. Not a huge deal. After being seated by the host, we were told we had to move to a table by the door because another party wanted the table, making us feel like second class guests. Every time someone walked in, we got a nice whiff of –3 air. An hour after our arrival, we received our food. The food was mediocre. Throughout the entire experience, different wait staff, including the manager, would walk by us without asking about anything. In our hour wait for the food, a waitress approached us just two times. Our waitress was very sweet when we told her about our experience however I have no interest in eating at Tavern West again.

I’ve long wanted a restaurant in Frisco that has good rotisserie chicken, and now there is one. The chicken was prepared just right, with a tangy sauce. Service was excellent. Lots of TV’s to watch while waiting. Location is just a bit north of the heart of Frisco so you most likely will drive, not walk. A little hard to find as the entrance and parking lot don’t face Main Street, but worth finding.

Really good, lots of food for the money. Hubby had a brisket sandwich and it was amazing. I had cheeseburger and it was enormous and delicious. We want to come back for dinner.

Had a bunch of apps, loved the tater tots. We split the rotisserie chicken and it was delicious. Super juicy and giant! Good beer selection and the atmosphere is nice.

My husband and I and another couple ate dinner at the restaurant last night. Service was fast since we told them we had to be in an hour to go to the movies. The tater tops drizzled with truffle oil were delicious although slightly too salty for our taste. Flatbread pizza, chopped salads and BBG platter were all delicious. We are all looking forward to many more meals at the restaurant for both lunch and dinner. There are so many creative sounding items on the menu. Please support this restaurant so it will be on the Frisco dining scene for years to come.

Great spot. Nice dog friendly patio with fireplace n great view of Mt Royal. 14 beers on tap. Mostly Colorado micro-brews. Good Happy Hour. Tasty tater tots.
Looking forward to spending more time here. Hopefully this bar/restaurant will succeed and help the west end of Main St.

Hooray! The long awaited Tavern West has opened at the site of the former Cowboy Pizza and is a welcome addition to that part of town!
The Double Bone Pork Chop is wonderful; tender and moist; you have to order the Crispy kalettes appetizer — it’s is delicious and a Superfood! And you have to have the White chocolate bread pudding for dessert– or as a side and then again as dessert, it’s that good!
The place looks fantastic, the owners-operators did a great job on the remodel! The bar area is partially sectioned off from the main dining area which features a corner fireplace; the large patio dining area has a great view of Mt Royal (especially for Aspen turning) and people-watching also has a great fireplace.
I gave TW 4 stars because it is hard to have normal conversation due to sound issues. Once that is corrected, soon I am told, I definitely will give it 5 stars!
