Waxing the City

Awesome experience! Easy online booking, quick check-​in, and most importantly… amazing eyebrows! Leslie did an excellent job.

Tried waxing in the city for the first time. Very cute and hip place. Love the set up and the atmosphere. Paige greats you at the door and is very friendly and knowledgable. Caitlin did my waxing. Love her! So friendly and fun, AND very thorough. I will definitely be a client from here on out. They also have a great and affordable line of specialty skin care products.

Yes! A location in Frisco! I’d been going to the location in University Park, but it was a haul from up here in the ‘burbs. I was stoked when this one opened.
It’s always a little scary to try a new esthetician, but I’ve found that those I’ve tried at Waxing the City are all professional and trained well. Getting parts worked on that are normally covered up is a sensitive activity, to say the least, but Krystle made me comfortable right away. I’d highly recommend her (and not just because we share the same name).
Glad this place is is Frisco. Far superior to other waxing places I’ve tried. Worth the money.

My experience with this location was probably abnormal, so I’ll aim for facts and not narrative:
I called to make an appointment because I heard they had a program for models to assist with cerologists in training. I was able to get in the very next day. My cerologist was Jordan. I was scheduled for arms, legs, and Brazilian, so we were going to be in the room for a long time. Everyone was very friendly and I was offered water, which I didn’t drink because I knew it would be a lengthy appointment. We did legs and arms first, then we got to the Brazilian. We started a little after 9am and it was around noon when we got the the Brazilian waxing. Unfortunately, we ran out of time. Another lady came in to assist in the process, but, that didn’t really expedite anything and Jordan was told she had to stop doing my waxing service because her next appointment had arrived. I was left with a half-​waxed Brazilian and I was scheduled to come back Tuesday to finish up.
On Tuesday, I received a call that said Jordan wouldn’t be my cerologist in the follow-​up. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that she was no longer with the company. I think the new cerologist was Lauren. She was also very nice. She completed the Brazilian and when I finished, I was offered an option for a 6-​month package, which I declined because I’m not interested in that level of commitment for waxing services.
Ultimately, here’s what I’ve learned from years of getting waxed — the Brazilian that regular people get will NEVER leave you as hairless as the women in porn. I’ve had Brazilians from different companies in different cities because I travel a lot and I have not had one single treatment that didn’t leave some grass on the field — some more than others — but, ultimately, I think that Waxing in the City did a pretty great job. Also, considering I had everything waxed from the waist down, for the most part, I was a little surprised that there is still some hair remaining on the back of my thighs, but definitely not enough to make a fuss over.
All things considered, I’d recommend them to a friend.

I was a little reluctant to try the new place in town. But… wowzah, I love it! The concept is so modern and fresh. But also warm and friendly. Fantastic service at the front desk. Ashley was amazing, best brow wax EVER! So glad this place is in Frisco. I will absolutely come back here and bring my girlfriends with me!
