Able Building Inspection

My wife and I purchased a 1750s house in old town Alexandria 2 years ago. We actually learned of Able from historical structure specialists in old town.
We can’t say enough about how honest and accurate his assessment of our house was when we had estimates from highly rated contractors specialized in their trade quote us.
Dave was unbiased, factual and steered us in the right direction. His approach is nice and detailed which was ultra important to me when we bought our house.

Don’t believe that real estate agent telling you to choose one from her list (of stooges, who do a half-​baked job, and then sit back to get paid). She just wants the sale to go through so she can get paid. You want someone who loves his work. Isn’t easily fooled by the makeshift repairs the previous owner did (and probably never pulled a permit for).
Don’t get stuck with a money pit. Call Dave, and trust that you are finding out everything there is to know about that house.

Dave Rushton of Able Inspection spent 4 ½ hours inspecting a house we were having built. He spent a similar amount of time inspecting the house at a pre-​drywall stage. With this kind of thoroughness and with over 30 years of experience, he identified more than a dozen safety code violations that the builder and the county inspector had missed.
