Generally its a good, moderately clean, inexpensive place, provided you stay Sunday-Thursday. Please bring a small can of air spray in case you smell a little mold when first checking in. They have just a handful of non-smoking rooms. The cable TV selection here is excellent, when working(most of the time)! Place gets crowded with contractors previous times I’ve stayed. Around dark to about 1am, some can be noisy, cuss at night, appear to be local transients with personal marital/“lover” problems(I turn on the fan to drown out their noise and that usually does the trick). The management prefers NO felons or criminals staying there – the nearby Pioneer Motel made news in recent years about housing some«Most Wanted.» I think Room numbers 9 – 14 are quieter, cleaner than 15 – 23 and 1 – 8, which are smoking rooms, for two people, or for stays of one or more weeks. I love this place in the cold winter – they’ll charge the lowest rates and pleasantly warm and cozy. Its tougher, crowded, noisier in the summer and hottest days. Recommend getting there, 1pm –3:30pm for best room picks. The young man manager is a really good guy – make sure you’re nice to him at check in – he’ll take care of you and likes quality, friendly guests with good manners.

It is what it is. A very inexpensive motel that is well beyond its prime. I selected it because it looked a little better than the one across the street. That said the living room chairs outside the doors gave me a creepy feeling and the lighting dim lighting reinforced that. The room has very old furniture, but the bed was comfortable and the sheets were old but clean. The tv had a full range of programs and even cable on demand. I was a little concerned with the lock on the door. It was just a latch and the door knob lock. It looked as if it could’ve broken in to rather easily. I paid 35 plus tax made it 40. I used a coupon book from the visitors center. The hotel filled up and people were outside talking for quite a while. All in all what you would expect.
