At the time of this review(1÷17÷16), DDS appears to be growing fairly quickly. I have worked in the Commercial Construction/Real Estate Industry in Washington, DC, for over 30 years, and though I’ve only used DDS for a couple of houses we own in the Front Royal and Orlean areas(primary and rental), I wish all of my Contractors at work were as professional, honest, and reasonable as DDS. I’ve come to learn over the years that no Contractor is perfect given that we are all human, so it’s not whether or not they make mistakes, it’s how they deal with the mistakes that are inevitably made. DDS installed a new heat pump over an existing propane furnace at our home in late-summer 2015, and it turned out an expansion valve in the new outdoor unit was faulty. They came to fix the valve immediately, but in the process the tech decided the existing furnace portion was unsafe, and left it completely dismantled. I was not home at the time, and after my wife described the situation to me, I called Tommy(DDS’ salesperson/field manager/whatever else it takes guy) and Tommy agreed that the unit should not have been left dismantled. Tommy personally came to our house 8:00 pm on a Friday night and put everything back together, got it running, gave me a decent price should we need a new one, and we continued to cross my fingers in hope that the furnace would get us through this winter. Fast forward 3 months(old furnace stopped working), and I just had a new Lennox ML195UH070P36B95% efficiency propane furnace installed by DDS for approx. $ 3,400. The furnace is super quiet, heats the house much better than the old one, and the job was done without a hitch by DDS’ team. The installation crew put tarps down from their point of entry to the furnace room to protect our home’s finishes, and were in and out in 3 hours. We’ll continue to use DDS for all of our HVAC needs. Hopefully they don’t grow too fast in their commercial division and lose track of their«bread and butter» residential customers.
