Pretty decent sports bar. If you’re looking for greasy food and beer then you’ve found a spot. Service is highly dependent on your server, but is usually fairly decent.

Went in for a quick bite before an event. Ordered the sliders and potato skins off the happy hour menu. The food was SO bad! The skins were SO hard and under cooked I could only bite the ends of them. The sliders tasted like they were over cooked in a microwave. So hard I couldn’t bite them! Yuck. Never again!

We stopped here for lunch during our visit to Fort Collins. It was a Thursday afternoon so the place was not busy. We ordered chicken wings, chicken tenders, a cheeseburger, and fish tacos. The tacos was a bit fishy, but the chicken wings was great. The chicken tenders and the burger were ok. They had a great deal for kids that day. Overall, a good place to take the kids for lunch, especially on Thursdays.

Quality of food is far worse than frozen dinners. Poor service as the waitress had no personality, did not suggest specialties, forget to bring items we asked for, and just over all bland staff. Fake now if we were Caucasian she would have been different. She was oh so super duper friendly to the other patrons. Recommend friendly and outgoing staff. Even the manager did not make his rounds to our table. Hmmm nasty battered onion rings, meatloaf dinner was horrible and the mashed potatoes were runny like from a box. We will never go to this location.

Some friends and I are in here now for some beers and food at 10pm… At a bar remind you, so you would think 10pm is a normal time. All we are getting is attitude. The waitress was looking at us as we were signaling we would like to order another round, instead of coming over, she looked away. Then a moment later got up and walked passed us. There are 23 people in here and they are acting like we are inconveniencing them. The people here are assholes! You would think management would do something about the 3 star average and bad reviews.

I love this place. The staff is always nice and the food is always cooked the way I like it. The food is never late and I think the food is actually cooked well by the chefs that work for them. Not to mention the beer they brew, it’s really good.

If you like crappy 90s-current girly pop music, overpriced food, and rude service then this is the place to go. Went here with a group to get a beer and some apps. The waitress didn’t bring out my beer and instead of just correcting the mistake the bartender and waitress had an argument at our table about how she had filled my beer order. The waitress later never checked to see if our food was good. Chicken fingers and fries for $ 12.99 with little fries is about $ 2 – 3 over priced for the area. Bigger is not always better. The beers are huge but not that good, so by the end you don’t want to finish it. Save yourself money and have a better experience elsewhere.

CB& Potts has long been the hangout for my organization’s every-other-year summer-long conference. When we finish studying and going to our daily meetings, everyone gathers at this no-frills brewpub for whatever daily special they have going on. Specifically, on Tuesday nights. I believe they have $ 3 double pint beers. Yeah, you can imagine how crazy the college kids get after spending $ 9 here. Food doesn’t merit anything to write home about, but I will say that the blue-cheese waffle fries and Vampire fries – garlic oil and fresh garlic boast enough flavor for the price to trigger my impulse buys after my stomach tells me to put something in my stomach. Yeah, it’s a Catch-22 here. Happy hour on happy hour sounds something like«I’ve had 4 pints of beer for $ 6… I can definitely spend $ 10 on a couple munchies.» Set your expectations low at CBP, and you just might be surprised by the good time you have here.

Only worth going to on half off after 9pm on sundays. Over priced for quality of food and bad service. Large piece of paper was cooked into my burger and was still charged full price for it with no apology. Can’t believe this place can even half way fill up.

The wings were pretty lame. We choose the chili garlic sauce with them. The chili beer, Hot Blonde, is fantastic. The Feugo x-tra pale was also very good. A seasonal Belgium was nothing special. I could come back for the beer, but skip the food.

Delicious food and great beer. Our party of 4 all loved their food. I had the Buttface Ale and REALLY liked it… it has a light sweetness to it that’s just right.

Fort Collins now has two CB and Potts locations, but the original, on Elizabeth just west of CSU’s campus, is still the one I prefer. The restaurant is typical but exemplifies some of the better sports bars and grills you can visit, with plenty of HDTV screens, wacky things hanging from the ceiling, including a giant shark last time I was there, and multiple levels, with the usual restaurant tables and booths on the main level along with its main bar. On the top level is a giant TV screen good for meetups and parties along with another bar. The food is your typical bar and grill fare, with plenty of fried, grilled, and heavy goodness, along with some of the usual pub favorites. Think of Chili’s or Applebee’s, where you can get decent food, though nothing really jumps out as setting it high above other restaurants. The beer selections is also decent, though its lineup has never been my favorite in town. Across the parking lot is the actual Big Horn Brewery building, itself equipped with tables and a bar for a more«night out» feeling. Good place to catch a game and hang out with friends a little more casually. While not always a «must visit» destination, CB and Potts is still a solid place to visit for the good atmosphere, decent beer, and tasty, high calorie food. Because sometimes you’re just in the mood for that.

My favorite place to get burgers in town. Definitely a college bar, but has a locals feel too. This location has a more rustic feel whereas the location on Horsetooth is a lot newer/modern. They make there own beer too(the wit is my favorite)! The beer is bottled and I *think* only distributed locally(haven’t seen it anywhere outside of Fort Collins but could have missed it).

I’ve been to this place a few times since it’s only a few blocks from where I live and I’ll attest that for all the bad rating it gets, but… they stay busy. 2 blocks away from CSU and in the heart of collegiate type housing, C.B. & Potts provides what most college age people want, which is bar food and beer. Not to diminish the taste savvy coeds in their choice of places to squander their parents money, but if you’re going to eat cafeteria quality food you can easily go to Taco Johns for a fraction of the cost. It doesn’t take a Economics major to figure that out. Then you’ll have a few extra bucks to pay for good beer somewhere else. As active participant in the Colorado beer culture, I have to relegate my opinion of their beer to «meh.» There are several other places in town to get more for your money. However, if you’ve never been here, you should try it at least once. There’s no sense in not thinking for yourself. I’ll just say that you should not have high expectations.

Great specials! The price of dinners and drinks go to half off on certain nights! The place is filled with college kids and has plenty of seating areas that are within a eye shot of a TV screen. For me who was visiting I enjoyed my couple nights we had food at CB. Beers were great(Definitely try the hef! It’s so tastey!) and the food was pretty good as well. No complaints whatsoever. I would not mind if we had a CB where I lived.

First time I went there we got yelled at by another patron because he was on an expensive date night with his girlfriend… at a place that sells burgers for $ 9.99! Second and third time they refused to give us the food menus even though it was clearly open and running! Fourth time our waitress sucked major balls. Took her forever to bring us anything we asked for and it wasn’t a busy night. Asked for water and it took her 20 minutes and she brought me more nasty watered down juice. NOTWORTHYOURTIMEORMONEY!

We arrived at C.B. & Potts on a Thursday night which was their trivia night. For a trivia-night-first-timer I had a good time, albeit the obscure Top 100 Billboard music of 1999 questions and random Colorado fish questions. Some teams were obviously cheating, but the MC was fun and the company you bring should be more fun. The place itself is pretty large with random animal décor strewn about — large ram in the corner; huge shark with a CSU jersey hanging above my table. They also claim to be the tallest bar in the state. The server was nice and our drinks came quickly but the nachos we ordered took forever. Never did I know that nachos could take 45 minutes to make. In any case, I am now the owner of a new beer bottle opener keychain after winning one round of trivia. Nice.

A huge venue with a sports bar vibe. Service was poor(hello…I’ve asked for that glass of water twice and never received it) and slow and food was meh(über dry turkey burger, salty fries, pretty decent waffle fries with buffalo sauce and gorgonzola). Beer was tasty, but we’re in FTC so locations with tasty beer isn’t in short supply. Walking distance to the CSU campus. Able to accommodate large crowds.

With me being the only trace of estrogen in a testosterone-filled home, you’d think we’d have a constant run of sports talk, a TV permanently fixed on ESPN, and a refrigerator full of beer. However, the guy-folk in the house are outdoorsmen-types who are hardly interested in watching the game, and I’m the one of two adults in the family who loves beer. So, sports bars are not a regular part of our dining repertoire. C.B. & Potts is a glorified sports bar in Fort Collins. I say«glorified» because at their core, they are one of the best places to watch the latest sports game, but as a full service restaurant with a craft brewery built in, it’s more than just a place to catch the winning score. C.B. & Potts is a family-owned and operated pub located on West Elizabeth right by campus, that has grown to six locations throughout Colorado and Wyoming. They also have 17 other locations through their sibling restaurant«Ram Restaurant and Brewery.» For 40 years, they’ve been feeding college students and beer-lovers food that is above what you’d expect from typical«bar food.» In 1995, they launched Big Horn Brewing Company, a local brewhouse that has earned national recognition and many awards from the Great American Beer Festival — the Olympics of Beer. Of all the beers from Big Horn Brewing, my favorites are their Hefeweizen and the Red Ale. For me, the others are pretty average without too many distinctive characteristics that make them stand out(even their porter which won a Gold Medal at GABF). The Hefeweizen is a glass full of incredibly bright, sweet and spicy flavor. It’s fantastic. The Red Ale is a nicely balanced IPA with a hefty hoppy bite. I really enjoy strong bitter hops, and this made my mouth perk up with each sip. While nobody cares about football, baseball, or basketball in our home, there is at least one person who cares a great deal about beer. I might not be drawn to C. B. & Potts to camp out and watch the big screen, but I ‘d totally go back for a delicious pint and some decent food to go with it.
