One day I woke up with a hearing loss in my left ear & did not know or understand the severity of this medical emergency. After visiting & speaking with Layne, my hearing aid specialist, about my problem, he called Dr. Heist, shared the history & instructed me to see an ENT specialist immediately! Not in a month, not in a week, ASAP. He impressed upon me that hearing can sometimes be restored within 48 – 72 hours with prompt aggressive treatment with Prednisone. Only due to his diligence to inform me & emphasis of a narrow time window for treatment, did I seek a medical doctor. Assuming his assessment was accurate, he explained how a prescription for Prednisone was required immediately. I saw a doctor & learned Layne was correct in his diagnosis.
I was SO EXTREMELY grateful to him for his knowledge and care for my situation. The doctor asked me to be assessed by his audiologist. The results duplicated Layne’s. Additionally, he wanted me to have follow-​up care. Because of the knowledge, relationship, comfort and care I received from Layne, I told the doctor I would return to him for the follow-​up audiology care.
I have the utmost confidence in all of the members of the Hearing Center of Broward. They are a very close knit family like office, whom treats everyone with undivided attention and care. They are the BEST! I give them the HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION I can offer for the professionalism and knowledge in their field.

Dr. Heise and the wonderful staff at the Hearing Center of Broward were a pleasure to work with! The hearing aid experience I received was top notch. The diagnostic testing that was performed was more extensive than the other locations I have visited to look for hearing aids. I have had tinnitus for 10 years prior, and the new hearing aids that I recently purchased have truly relieved my symptoms. This experience has been far and away the best I have ever had!
