«Life isn’t so good at this store in Lauderdale» Happened to stop in here while on vacation in the area. Crazy scene ensued as I was in the store. As I was shopping, I saw a couple run into this shop,(escaping the downpour of rain), with a coffee each. After they were shopping for about 10 minutes and had a basket full of items, this rude, belittling storekeeper began to yell at them for bringing coffee into the store. Now, there were no signs not to bring in drinks, and even if there were, this couple would not have seen them because they ran in to shop and escape the rain. No reason to yell at them. She could have nicely told them that. Not to mention, right next to them, some other shopper was running around with his dog! That makes sense lady, yell at two adults for holding coffees who chose to shop in your store(amongst many others) early in the morning, but let this guy throughout your store with his frizzy little dog? I’ll tell you what didn’t get on clothes here– coffee. Let me tell you what did– pet dander and fur from this little dog. I’m also allergic to dogs– I’m not allergic to coffee. Whatever. I as a patron was more annoyed by the dog, not this couple drinking coffee not bothering anyone. If I were the couple, I would have walked out and not bought anything, but the guy actually downed his coffee and gave the rude storekeeper his empty cup to throw out(I laughed inside) and his wife put the cup on the counter as they checked out and left. Kudos to the customers in dealing with the rude storekeeper. ‘Life is good’ employees and management– learn some people skills, you’re in a customer based business. Additionally, if you have these magic rules for your store, make sure they’re clearly posted and go across the board covering whatever it is you don’t want in your store. Can’t just pick and choose which customers are allowed to do what in here.

Best gift shop in the area! Prices are on par with other local shops, but this place had more unique offerings. The owner was really helpful, but didn’t follow us around the store pointing out things we could buy(like another local gift shop). If you’re looking for some Lauderdale-By-The-Sea souvenirs, this is the place to stop!

Such a fun little tourist shop. This is my favorite place to come when looking for a souvenir type of gift, in this case, a small pink flamingo. You can find pretty much everything here — Christmas ornaments, swim wear, shark teeth etc., as well as the typical hokey things like shot glasses and bottles of shells. The people that work there are always friendly and helpful. The prices are about as reasonable as you’re going to find in any shop of this type.
