Acacia Tree Preschool

Our daughter loves Mrs Phoungs pre school class, we have not had any issues with the staff and everyone is warm and accommodating. When we got to CA we had our little one in a less than desirable home care setting with mixed age groups, we could see that she was not being taught to her full potential, since switching to Acacia Tree we have noticed our daughter learn and thrive in a class setting, lots of activities, a diverse class, and an actual curriculum. We took our time and interviewed all the preschools in the area, price aside the feeling and vibe we got from visiting Acacia tree was warmer and more inviting than the «corporate» centers. The walls full of art projects and a playground the wrapped around the whole building, Our Daughter could not wait. I was a product of the LA county school district and turned out better than expected :) it’s not the money you pay or the area the schools in, it’s what you HELP your child make out of this brief brief period in life. It is true this center has switched owners, and from public records it’s for the better. Improvements have been made, safety issues addressed, the majority of teachers have been there a long time. I agree every child is unique and may not be a perfect fit, but it is our responsibility as parents to lead by example and try to work thru difficult situations before hitting the eject button. That in itself is just as important as learning ABC’s.

I used to be very fond of this place when my eldest daughter attended this school back in 2005 and I had absolutely nothing bad to say about this school, in fact I even referred a lot of friends to this preschool. I than started my 2yr old at the time in 2013 here it was good, not the same though as I remembered them being, 2015 came along my daughter being 4 now entered into Ms Tambaras class wich mind you always compared my daughter that was than going there to my eldest and how different they were, (meaning how well behaved one was more than the other) I mean children are all different flowers they are not all going to be the same. My daughter started complaining about going to school after a while after being in her class and management changed everything went downhill after that. I got a call one day stating my child was having a meltdown and I needed to pick my daughter up, we than picked her up and apparently she had a fit because she was told to put her toy away. It was very very stressful having her there the last few days she was there, Ms Tambara had a lot of negative things to say most of the time «oh your child did this today… ect… Personally positive reinforcement works better for children, she now attends a much better preschool. I wish I would’ve taken her elsewhere a long time ago. She’s doing wonderful and not once has she ever gotten compared to another child or have they had anything negative to say about her at her new preschool. I advice you as a parent to not take your child to this school as this place has changed for the worst.
