This place a ridiculous prices I came here a few weeks ago just for a buzz cut for work and one of the barbers didn’t tell me every haircut is $ 30 until the end of the cut! If I knew it was $ 30 I would’ve just gone somewhere else. In my opinion they should tell the customer the price even if it’s a really easy cut.

Armando took me in as a walk in and did an awesome job with my hair and my beard. He was very friendly and attentive to what I wanted. The prices aren’t bad at all and they give you a few options. I’m thankful they were able to fit me in at such a short notice. Also just a heads up they only take cash and unlike other cash only barbershops they actually have an ATM in their location which makes it super convenient.

I’ve brought my 12 year old here twice, they do a great job, but took about an hour and charged $ 30 for a boys haircut… Too steep for me, probably won’t be coming back.

Sick old fashioned barber shop. You can get a real nice haircut experience here. Mr. Bruno(owner) is a cool dude and a real maestro in the art of barbering. Great place overall. Come support the good qualitied local biz like this. \m/

Methodical, systematic, careful, and a perfectionist. That is how I would describe Carlo. Carlo does an amazing job. You can tell that he cares about the end product because he’s not in a rush to finish your cut. He makes sure that his lines and parts are clean. I highly recommend him.

A little disappointed. Service was great. Very nice guy. But $ 30 is a ridiculous change to clean up a beard. The work just wasn’t very good. Uneven sides, neck and cheek bones had a bunch of random long hairs. I went home and fixed it up myself. I honestly do a better job with my razor. Huge let down.

The EXACTSAMETHING just happened to me that happened to another reviewer!!! I got not only a very uneven haircut, but a HORRIBLE shave too by some big guy in the second or third chair. He cut me 3 times!!! One cut was very painful because he put some stuff on that made it sting and he pressed really hard on my face. WTF?! I got home and noticed I was bleeding from 2 different areas and had a couple other scratches. The haircut was bad. Very uneven. The hair line on one side was above my ear and the other side was in the center of my ear. Did he even look at it? I wanted to have him fix it again, but my hair just kept getting shorter and shorter. He might as well have just shaved my damn head! It was NOT worth a dime. This was by far the worst haircut experience I ever had and I honestly think the guy should be fired! If I knew I wasn’t the only one who had to go through this torture I would have filed a complaint with the owner. I just wanted the hell out of there and to never see this place ever again.

Did I just come on a bad day? Here’s the thing I didn’t get a hair cut here so I gave them 1 star to be fair and because I have to, and the second star because it looked nice. Let me tell you my cutless 10 minute experience. I grew up in this neighborhood, in fact I used to come here when it was a regular ol’ american barbershop. Wood paneling, beer and sports memorabilia on the walls. In fact this is place where I went for my very first hair alone that I paid for. Before it was«American Razor» this was a good shop for good cuts at a reasonable price. Today not so much. I don’t know so I AMASSUMING that the owner has tried to turn it into one of those high end shops for trendy cuts. I like trendy cuts I wont lie. I prefer the pompadour and most places charge anywhere from $ 20 — $ 30 bucks. I pay it because the spot is comfortable and they give price worthy cuts. Oh I’ve forgotten to tell you about this place, i guess I wanted to lay down my reasoning. As i walk up two guys are outside, one dressed like an old timy barber, you know, dressed sharp with a tie and slick hair. The other sitting and these guys where obviously in a serious conversation since neither one was able to acknowledge or be polite and move out of the doorway as I was entering. ***** remove 1 * for politeness. As I walked in there was no one other customer, and one barber. He seemed to be whipping down the counter, he looked at me and as I was about to prepare to respond to «you need a cut» or some type of acknowledgment, he turned around pulled out his phone and began to dial. Not answer the phone, he dialed! **** remove one more*. after a few minutes of waiting Keeping in mind there is one free barber outside, I understand turns for who is up next to work(cut Hair) but still no interest or care about the only one customer in the shop. Call me crazy but 2 barbers 1 customer = quick service.(well in my world). I expect to wait when I go to the barbers but I dont expect to wait with that equation in my favor. Finally the barber inside the shop on his important phone call turns to me and says«you need a cut» cool im down to give you a shot, you might have good cutting skills. The guy asks me if I have been here before, a quick conversation ensues about their fine establishment which by the way was a fine looking shop, The owner really spent some attention to detail in creating a fine shop environment. Ok so this is where he lost another star. He tells me that they charge $ 30. I was like what? are you serious? back and forth… I said thanks anyways. In my mind I can see why they had no customers. Your gonna be rude, and treat someone with out any importance when your shop is empty? Ok I get it when it is busy and you are short on time and staff to have to wait for an expensive cut. Not a problem. But do not treat me that way when you are free and expect a high return. Sorry I am not sure if I will give them a second chance. I truly am a second chance kind of consumer, I think the owner needs to instill some customer service skills on their employees, lower your prices until you are ready to be high end. I seen the pictures posted here and I am not impressed. So on second thought No I wont be back.

This place is awesome and one of my fav. places to go for a cut. The prices are a bit on the high side but the fact that there is rarely a wait makes it worth it. Make sure to double check your line ups… The last two times I went my beard didn’t always line up evenly. The haircuts are great but as mentioned it is on the pricey side.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a barber shop, now don’t get me wrong, I’m from Kansas and they don’t know how to do anything other than buzzing it off. But this was great, relaxed atmosphere, professional attitudes, and style. Finished it off by lining me up with the ol’ straight razor. No Knicks. Only thing I had to complain about is it is pricey, but hey you get what you pay for. Definitely my new go to spot.

Just got a haircut earlier today by some chubby guy in the second chair from the door and it was the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I asked for a taper fade and he left a line, patches and long hairs sticking out not to mention he cut me. I told him to blend it more and it just got worse. The haircut is worth $ 5 and the service is $ 25. It’s all show…$ 30 isn’t worth it.

Great place. Friendly staff and chill atmosphere. The barbers here will actually listen to you when you tell them how you want your haircut. I recently moved to the area so finding a trustworthy barber has been a bit of a challenge but I think I finally may have found a good one. Charles was my barber. He was very respectful of my concerns and spent a good hour on my hair making sure I was completely satisfied with the outcome. Yes it is a little pricy at $ 30 a haircut but I think the attention to detail makes it worth the extra cash. Oh yeah and it’s a cash only

Thirty dollars… repeat THIRTYDOLLARS! This isn’t Fashion Island, this is the armpit of a depressingly ran down shopping center anchored by a 99 cent store. The guy who cut my hair didn’t really understand what I was asking for(a simple undercut), but I was short on time so I made the mistake of staying. What I got was merely an OK placeholder haircut. It’s 4 days later and I’m already itching to get it cut again. You’d think that the outrageous price would ensure that they could OILTHEIRCLIPPERS!!! My head was a bloody, scraped up mess afterwards. I’m not sure how the owners justify the cost, because nothing about the experience merits the extremely high cost. Avoid.

I wasn’t too happy after leaving this place. I happened to stop by because I needed a haircut and I’m always down to try a new haircut place… But to be honest I got a bad hair cut, the barber edged up my sideburns so uneven on each side it was embarrassing. And I DIDNTEVENWANT my sideburns edged! I got a low fade and the fade was lame, and the haircut was lame.

I have been bringing my son here for a while now. Although they charge $ 25 for his haircut here i still think it’s worth it! I love the vibe of this place! Everyone in here is always so dapper looking! We get PABLO to do our sons hair. He’s so patient with my son.(my sons a chatter box!) Pablo always cuts his hair perfect! I never leave disappointed. My husband and son use their gel pomade! We love that stuff!

What a great find! I was in dire need of a good haircut. Ask anyone of my friends, I was starting to look like Ponch from the TV show CHiPs. I wasn’t able to get a cut when I had a originally wanted to a few times, so I would always have to cancel my appointments at various Barber shops, but I guess it’s true when they say good things come to those who wait. Because this haircut was on point. Pablo is a MUST! The man is knowledgeable and knows what he’s doing and is great to have a friendly barber shop conversation. I will be back.

Got here right at 10 when they opened today. I was hoping I got there in time before the morning rush and thought that I was gonna miss it because of all the traffic on State College. I made it though and got into a chair right away. George cut my hair, which was really long and I hadn’t gotten a cut in almost a year. I got an undercut because I’m trying to grow a topknot/manbun and my hair is now long enough to bypass that weird in-between stage. He did a great job and really took his time making sure that he gave me he cut that I wanted. Definitely a good experience here, 10⁄10 would get cut again.
