Finding a good bagel isn’t easy. Nowadays, it’s hard to find the order doughy yet flavorful delight that not only crunches with each bite, but gives you that doughy chew too. Behold, in Fullerton, Bagel Bistro. One bite and you know you found it. Great parking, fast, friendly service, accepts credit cards over $ 5, and a wide assortment of choices to choose from. If you’re lucky and early, they have 10 day old for $ 5.

As a matter of keeping my biochemistry guessing, I haven’t eaten any carbohydrates since New Year’s Day. After a few days of mind-blowing sugar, bread, and plant withdrawals, you sort of settle-in to your life eating egg whites and chicken and steak and fish and pork and more egg whites and whey protein shakes for desert. Then more eggs. So really, coming to Bagel Bistro was really an exercise in determination, perseverance, and maybe self-cruelty. This place looked pretty awesome: sandwiches and bagel creations made to order, fresh juices and smoothies, and a damn fine cup of coffee after sitting in Sig-alert traffic on the SB57. Prices were a little up-there for a Fullerton strip mall experience, but if things taste half as good as they look, it’s probably worth it. Hopefully next time I’m taking the back way to Brea for a conference, I’ll have a chance to stop in here and try everything. Of course, that could be the bread-lust talking.

Delicious assortment of bagels/bagel sandwiches, friendly service/always positive and smiling, and a generous spread of cream cheese! I’m pretty much a bagel addict by now because of this. I got the sundried tomato bagel and Hawaiian hazelnut coffee. So good! Great place to grab a small bite at while waiting for Early Bird next door… hahah

Came in cuz I heard about the Lox bagel and was craving some smoked salmon! Environment: Typical bagel store with outside and inside seating! Clean and nice Bagel: My bagel was super delicious! Smoked salmon with cream cheese, red raw onions, and capers on top of a toasted cheese bagel paired with a side of chips! Price: I paid around $ 10, $ 8 for the bagel. Expecting that price. Service: Friendly cashier! Overall: Will come back for a second try and another bagel type! Delicious Lox bagel reminded me of Seattle’s pike place Lox!

I prefer Brueggers Bagels, this place just left me wanting a better Bagel breakfast. It’s not terrible but definitely not the best in my opinion.

On our way to work my boo and I decided to stop by and grab a quick bite here. I was so impressed once I saw the Led Zeppelin banner on the wall. It’s a small cozy spot with a variety of bagels. I tried what I thought would be a simple cheddar and egg breakfast bagel but little did I know it would be packed with so much flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Loxx bagel it had salmon, cream cheese along with herbs and spices. I took a bite of his bagel and it was an explosion of flavor! When I licked my lips I was surprised by the lemon pepper kick it had. I was always a bit scared to try bagels with salmon but i’m officially a fan now!!! I’m definitely going back for more. Oh yea! One last thing the actual bagel itself was also amazing and the ladies that rang us up were very polite:)

Generic. Pizza bagel was horrible. Too much sauce & bagel was hard as a rock. My egg/bacon was good. My husband burrito was good too so 2⁄3 ain’t bad. But wait was too long nxt door

Stopped by here while getting my car fixed. Enjoyed the bagel and cream cheese. Very friendly baker helped with my order. The place was clean and no bums or jesus-freaks loitering nearby.

This place has been around for a long time… since I can remember! I’m so glad they’re still around, they have some of the best bagels in town. We originally wanted to eat next door, at Early Bird Café. But the wait was way too long and we were short on time and hungry… so glad we ended up eating here! Their pizza bagel is legit, they make it upon request, so it’s fresh and hot out the oven when it comes out. It was brunch time, though, so I ordered a breakfast burrito — you have a choice of sausage, bacon, and I forgot the third choice. I chose sausage, and it did not disappoint! I think the food took about 10 minutes to come out, but it was piping hot and steamy. I enjoyed mine with a side of salsa, ketchup and hot sauce. The packets of ketchup and hot sauce are on the side, where the utensils and napkins are. Overall, I would recommend this place for a simple bagel, pizza bagel, or for breakfast.

Being from the Midwest, I was really trying to love this place. East of Denver, there’s a great bagel chain called Einstein’s. This is not Einstein’s, Brueggers, Panera, or anywhere else. They get their own category of blah. Twice now, I’ve ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and every time they toast the bagel and schmear the cream cheese on a HOT bagel so when I’m ready to eat it all the cream cheese has melted. DUMB Also, the service is SLOW! I came in today ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a Veggie Omelet… from the time I ordered to when I was handed my food —- 16 minutes. Not good, considering there was no else’s order in front of mine!

The smoothies are a little too sweet much like Jamba Juice, a little kool-aid like. The service is very slow. Took us about 20 minutes to get our smoothies and the girls working there aren’t very friendly maybe because they get a little busy. I have yet to try their bagels which I imagine is their specialty but seeing how the smoothies aren’t very good I’m scared to try anything else. I’m giving it three stars and not two because it was a good spot to hydrate while waiting to be seated at Early Bird the restaurant next door.

First time customer: love the bagel sandwich, hated the latte. Good prices, fresh bagels, just need a little love in the latte department… nice customer service. I’ll stick to the bagels and bagel sandwiches in the future.

Been looking for a good bagel shop around the area and thanks to Unilocal,I stumbled upon this place! Cute mom and pop type of bagel joint. Didn’t realize it was right next to Early Bird. If you don’t want to wait in the gruesome long line at Early Bird on the weekends, try checking out this place for your morning cravings! …If you’re in the mood to bagel ;) Lox bagel — Freshly made bagel, smoked salmon with a generous amount of cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, and onion. Definitely hit the spot! Palm Springs Bagel Sandwich — Took a bite of my friends, it was pretty good too. Love anything will avocados :) Staff are all incredibly nice and just had a great time there. Def. will come back to order the other bagel sandwiches. Till then, see you guys soon!

Decent breakfast spot. Bagels are questionable. I don’t think they bake them here. The bagels were hard. Got a lox sammich and the onions were overkill. The tomatoes were green, which is not my preference. The lox was minimal but okay. THe lox wasn’t the package kind so that was nice. Cream cheese was pretty damn good, but this place doesn’t have the equipment to whip their own smears. Price is expensive and its too damn hot in there.

Nice workers But took more than 40mins to make a sandwich & Cobb salad… One customer before me. His meal was done in 10mins. There were 3 or more workers. … Anyways, food was okay.

I went back to this place to try the new bagel recipe previously commented on my last review, but it honestly tastes the same as I previously said. I did have the Hawaiian smoothie this time — the smoothies are well made and not too sweet. I enjoyed it and would order it again if I came back. The Godfather sandwich was very small, much smaller it felt than the lox bagel. We decided to get more food afterward even though the meal landed us more than $ 20.
