Pros. 1. Convenient Cons 1. Sub par food 2. unfriendly Carls. Jr. is located on campus. While it is convenient, the food tastes terrible. Other Carl’s Jr. s taste 10 times better. The service is not very good either. The workers are not very friendly.

one stars for not food-poisoning me Here is why the low score You are located on a state university campus with over 38000 students already. Besides the summer break and winter break, You will never lack any customer. Forget to mentions, CSUF is the second largest state university in the California. You feel the need to put the soda machine behind the counter and charge a dollar for every refill?

Pros: It’s just a short walk to the restaurant and there’s quick service. Cons: Food is very poor quality than other Carl’s Jr. 3 out of 5 times most of the burgers are reheated and taste horrible. Overall quality in other fast food restaurants and in other Carl’s Jr. are far superior than this one.

I’m sorry but this place is not good. Not sure what it is, but the food here tastes horrible compared to other Carl Jr. locations. Since it is on CSUF there is always a long line, especially during lunch time. They never messed up my order, but the quality of the food is not great. After going to this place for 6 years, I’m completely put off from eating at another Carl’s Jr. in the near future.

The last two times I’ve gone in my food has been either cold or not what I ordered. On both occasions business was slow, so I don’t see reason for the mess up. I appreciate the worker who went and got me the correct meal but given my experience I don’t plan on going back.

This is the 2nd time they didn’t give me my full order. I ordered the 5 pieces chicken, and they only gave me 3 pieces. I’d rather go to Habit Burrger across the street next time.

I’ll give this a two star since I like their spicy chicken sandwich, but do not order their onion rings!!! It’s seriously a waste of money. Does not taste like onion rings, and the batter and onion just falls apart. I couldn’t even finish it cause it was that bad. Flavorless and a waste of money

Food is horrible. Place is dirty, and smells like armpits. Service is fine. Unfortunately, out of all the fast food chains, Carl’s Jr. made it onto campus. Ughh, I wish it was something else. I’ll take McD, Jack’s, Wendys, BKs, Dels over this crap any time. I’ll never come to this place ever again during my time here at CSUF. Please go away!

Just walk in about to order. This rude lady yells we we are not taking anymore order! It’s only 10 am. Very rude and annoying. It was very disappointing as there are only a few places to eat on campus.

I love the bacon thick burger, it tastes so good but I always feel sick after eating it, but they have one of the best milkshakes. I usually get a strawberry or vanilla flavor and they taste so good.

Ehh. Campus food. If you want fresh fries– ask for no salt. It will take longer, but that way your fries will actually be warm. Some days are better than others, their food has consistency issues. Show campus ID and you don’t have to pay for tax.

Bit into a bone in my spicy chicken sandwich. Pic was from a snapchat i took. You cant see in the pic, but the mayo was a bit yellow. I ended up throwing it away. Would complain in store, but I was in class. Goodbye my dollar and a half. T_T I understand that spicy chickens are made in demand because they are the cheapest and best bang for the buck at CSUF, but health should be considered as well. Finding a bone probably doesn’t happen alot, but that one experience killed any future visits to Carles Jr there. I’d rather just get a bag of chips at the Yum.

This place is the place to be if you don’t have much time. The problem is that the food is not exactly the best. I ordered two famous stars once and one of them had essentially on layer of onion. The meat looked awful and kind of the wrong color. It’s a decent deal if you have coupons, but just don’t expect much for the food.

The place just keeps getting worse — now they only do refills on large drinks and then only within 30 minutes — don’t they realize that the cost of a refill is next to zero and the customer goodwill is probably worth more?

I’m not sure why all the crappy reviews. Many are about charges for using a debit card. Uh. Bring cash. There’s an ATM machine outside if you don’t have cash. Maybe if you don’t have cash, you shouldn’t be eating here. I work on campus, so I have eaten here many times over the years. It’s Carl Jr. I know what to expect. I’ve generally had good food, usually prepared to order. At times, between classes, for example, it can get busy. That’s true anywhere. The selection is the same as at any CJ. So are the prices. When I don’t want to go off campus, it’s fine, and since I bring cash and I visit when I know it won’t be busy, I am in and out fairly quickly. I like that now there is one feeder line for ordering, so you don’t have to worry if one cashier is faster than another.

This is my fourth year coming to this Carl’s Jr. Workers always seem pissed off, annoyed, or impatient. Usually it’s a combination of two of the three. The manager tries to appear friendly and professional but it’s been four years and I can tell her front is slowly becoming more and more obvious. She is no different than the employees in that it’s obvious she hates her job and would rather be elsewhere(attitude, actions, tone of voice, etc.) A lot of times, the students/customers don’t hear their order being called which is obviously annoying for the employees, plus they have random requests or are sometimes just idiots, but then again, what do you expect from a customer service job? Guess the entire staff puts up with it because they need the money because I can’t see them doing the job for fun. The most commonly ordered items are made in advance and placed under heat lamps, fries taste slightly sour versus fries at any other Carl’s Jr. s off-campus, no free refills, and you WILL get attitude or sometimes ignored outright if you try to show them your CSUFID to get tax taken off your order. Been realizing that most students know about the discount but don’t bother showing their ID in order to prevent any problems with the employees(seriously, you’re in the center of a public university, basically everyone walking through the door is a student). Tip: If you want something that hasn’t been sitting under a heat lamp, order something like a six dollar burger or a premium chicken sandwich — they don’t make those ahead in advance.

**Very Short Review!!** **CSUF Location** I don’t usually go to Carl’s Jr. but I was starving and I wanted to buy some fries. This location has a very LONG line because it’s on campus. I just read another reviewer saying that if you show you’re student I.D. we don’t have to pay for tax?! Say Whaaat?! I’m going to try that next time! Anyway, I needed to get to class and was afraid I’d have to wait forever but since I just ordered fries, I got my order in a jiffy. I also ordered a Snickerdoodle! I seen the advertisement while I was ordering and being a dessert freak, I couldn’t resist it. It’s ice cream cookie sandwich!!! Never had that before! It was so goooooooooooood! :)))))))))) Just a note if you’re going to order sweet potato fries, that is going to be a bit of wait because not many people order it so it’s freshly made with every order. :) Refills are a buck and you have to get it before 30 minutes after your order. Past 30 minutes and no refills for you. :\ Thanks for reading! Short as promised! :))) ~**kenzie**~

I have always been a fan of the charbroiled burgers and their breakfast menu items but the coffee served here is absolutely terrible! It is so bland that it almost has no flavor! I believe they get stingy with the amount of coffee grinds used to prepare the coffee. It has to be in its preparation because I do not think a major food franchise like Carl’s Jr would serve an inferior product. I hope the management team will start implementing improvement strategies here by sampling the coffee themselves, read these complaints and then reassess how their food and beverages are prepared. In the meantime, the coffee here is a real bad option. It is very unfortunate you cannot enjoy some decent coffee to go along with a breakfast burrito or a sausage & egg muffin. There are a number of other places on campus for coffee lovers to get that cup of java and this Carl’s Jr is one you should avoid.
