Erik Johnson Music Lessons

I am new to guitar, and Erik has a great amount of patience during lessons. He takes his time teaching all of the building blocks, and never makes you feel inadequate as a beginner. I always feel comfortable and at ease during lessons. He is a great guy and a fantastic teacher! I highly recommend taking lessons from him whether you are a beginner or looking for a more advanced session. He is affordable and extremely encouraging.

Erik Johnson is by far the best guitar teacher around. He is an extremely knowledgeable musician and patient teacher. His breadth of understanding in a variety musical styles and genres is unmatched. Whether you are interested in a complicated classical or jazz piece, or simply want to learn a classic rock tune or top 40 song Erik can teach you the skills necessary to attain your goals. Erik is skilled at teaching musical theory as well as a variety of technical and performance related techniques. He is a graduate from some of the most prestigious music schools in the country, he also has over 20 years of teaching experience. Erik has performed with and recorded with some of the world’s top musicians and well known recording artists.

Both my daughter and I have taken lessons from Erik for over a year. She is a skilled player and I am a beginner. Erik is an extremely talented guitarist and actually makes his living doing it. Yet, he is great with beginners like me. What I love about taking lessons from Erik is that he learns my interests and helps pick songs at my skill level that I will enjoy. And what is amazing is can listen to a song and write out the music for me by ear in just a few minutes. He’s a great teacher, patient, kind and an all around good guy. I am sure you will be glad to have chosen him as your teacher.
