Hair Extensions By Nikki

I love this place!!! So professional, and good costumer service. I brought my own hair and they just charge me for putting them in so I saved a lot. I drive from an hour away because they recommended me to her. This is going to be my new spot, I’m in love.

I love Nikki! She is amazing and always goes above and beyond to give her customers the best experience possible.
I originally came in with extensions that were put in by someone else. The place I originally got my extensions put in said they gave me Virgin 18 inch black hair. This is the first time I had ever had extensions. So i thought the quality was pretty good. But the place I got them put in wanted $ 250 for each tightening session. Which I thought was extremely crazy! So I called around and found Nikki.
Her assistant Regina was super helpful on the phone and they even got me in for a consultation that afternoon. As soon as Nikki looked at my extensions she asked me why I had so many tracks and I said that is how they put them in. It wasn’t like I knew any better since it was my first time.
But at my actual appointment Nikki took out my 7 tracks and made them into only 3 tracks. Not only did it feel so much better on my head but it significantly lowered the cost of the tightening. So it was a win win for me!
Nikki website is so helpful. It has tons of useful information about extensions itself. It even has pricing for everything so you can plan ahead for it to fit into your budget! At your first appointment they also give you a care sheet to take home with all the maintenance information you could possibly as for. And if for some reason you have a question or concern that the care sheet or website doesn’t answer for you all you have to do is text Nikki or Regina and they will answer it for you!
I love Nikki and her work is amazing, but importantly it feels and looks great! I would never again go to anyone else for my extensions!

Nikki is an absolute sweetheart! If you are looking for extensions that are amazing quality and installed /​blended perfectly, Nikki is your girl. I went with the non-​sewn beaded weft in high quality and could not be happier!

I found Nikki through Unilocal exactly a year ago actually, and let me just start off by saying that she is AMAZING!
The first time I came in my hair was an absolute frizzy, stringy disaster but Nikki saved me! She was very helpful and informative, I got Non sewn beaded in temporary quality since my hair was so damaged the texture wouldn’t match with any better quality extensions, also side note I had purple hair and her partner Monique did an insanely good job in matching the color she even added a silver ombré it was awesome! At first it was a little weird feeling the extensions in my hair but I got used to it right away, I had them on for a little over a month but when I took them off my hair actually felt a little healthier.
Fast forward to 2 months later I came back with short brown hair (a little healthier this time) in need of long red hair, this time I decided to get medium quality hair and Monique dyed both my hair AND the extensions red, I absolutely loved it, she did a great job blending my hair with the extensions and the extensions lasted me about ⁵⁄₆ months.
When I got them removed I was so shocked to see how much my hair had grown and how healthy it was! The extensions played a HUGE part in helping my hair grow, I had very short choppy hair and felt very insecure about it but those extensions saved my life! haha, and I can not thank Nikki enough for that!
Her salon is very welcoming and her partner Monique and her assistant Regina are super rad!
I’m definitely planning on getting extensions again soon! If you’re thinking about getting extensions I highly recommend getting them from Nikki!

My personal BAD EXPERIENCE:

2÷11÷16 I came in and Nikki was with a client so Regina, Nikki’s assistant, greeted me and we began talking about what kind of extension I was looking for. (I am of Asian descent and my hair is extremely straight and flat.) Regina handed me a doll with various types of extensions and we decided to go with clip-​ins because we felt that they would offer the most volume for my hair. After Nikki was finished with her client she came out to us and quoted me the following for clip-​ins:
–Temporary (1 – 3 months) -$ 200
–Medium (4 – 6 months) hair clip ins– $ 300
–High quality (6 –8 months) clip ins– $ 500
–Highest quality (8 month– 1 year) clip ins– $ 700
For what I was looking for, we agreed that getting the hair noted as «High Quality» would be the best. She then added that it should last roughly 75% longer since I am only clipping them in maybe twice a week. I emphasized to Nikki again that I wanted my hair to have extreme volume. She then offered me an opening in her books for the next day at noon.
After feeling some hesitation about the appointment, later that night I texted Regina/​Nikki about the type of hair I was getting and How I wasn’t sure if everything was going to match. I did not hear anything until about 30 minutes until my actual appointment. They told me that there was no chance of a refund and to not worry because it would look good and blend well. Nikki blew out my hair to make sure she got everything where it needed to be. At this point she had already put the extensions on clips. It took her maybe 15 – 20 minutes all together to clip and put the beads in my hair and also to guide me on where to clip them. In the salon the color blended well with my hair and I asked her if she can style it, she agreed and lightly curled my hair. The whole appointment took 45 minutes. At the time I liked it but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I couldn’t feel any difference with there being extra hair clipped in. Nikki took a picture of my finished hair and I gathered my belongings and went to pay. If you are my friend or family you know I always tip but in this case, it wasn’t justified. I came home that night and finally took my extensions off. I finally got a feel for the hair that I bought and it was thin, frizzy, shedding and just not anything like my natural hair.(Very similar to Barbie hair) After doing some research I found out that 2 of the local beauty supply stores offered packs of hair in 4 oz. The hair provided to me was roughly about 2.5 oz and nowhere near the quality I paid for. The next day I dropped off the hair and spoke to Regina and Monique, the co-​owner, and was told that I would not receive a refund because the service was done. They kept insisting that there was nothing that they could do because Nikki was not there and I was offered the lower quality hair. It’s pretty sad how my hair is better quality than their «high quality» extensions. I told them that I came back because I was disappointed in the service especially for the amount of money I paid. Regina called me back the next day and told me that there was nothing they can do besides refund me $ 250. As a customer I would expect at the very least, to get what I was promised and paid for. Instead of being dismissed and feeling ripped off and out $ 500.

Beyond happy I found this place on Unilocal !!! Called to inquire about prices and how they put the extensions in. Regina right away forward me a email giving information and the cost of it. I then set a appointment and was able to get it done two days later. Nikki did a AMAZING job !! I definitely will be coming back and referring clients

I loved my first experience with Regina, Nikki, and Monique! Regina is so awesome. She had amazing customer service and was extremely helpful. I love that we have the option to text. It makes is so much easier to communicate. I went in for a free consultation. It is difficult to find a place that you can have extensions, cut and color done all in the same place. However, thankfully enough this is a one stop shop… the best of both worlds-​hair extensions and cut/​color.
When I arrived for my appointment a couple weeks later, I was greeted with a very welcoming smile from Monique. She’s extremely knowledgeable and professional. I immediately felt confident in her work. I appreciate that Monique took the time to go over pricing with me, prior to starting my hair. I LOVE the result!!! She did such an amazing job. I can’t get over how much I love my hair. Monique is so good at what she does.
Right after my color appointment I excitedly sat in Nikki’s chair. Nikki is nothing short of amazing!!! I love her technique. This is the best hair extensions experience I have ever had! Nikki loves what she does, and it is very apparent. I was SO happy with the result. The color and extensions mixed beautifully. It looks completely natural. I am in love with my hair!

Nikki is by far thee BEST! Before Nikki, I had some extensions from another shop and they were «eh» ok. They did the job but after having my extension put in by Nikki I will never go anywhere else! From the first time I met Nikki she was very friendly and thorough. She gave me plenty of options and I was able to stay within my budget and have the best hair experience ever! I explained to her what I wanted and that’s what I got. Can you believe that… you actually get something you want at a hair shop! I am so happy with the outcome and thankful to all you Unilocalers who led me to her. She also worked along side with Monique on my hair and together they are the dynamic duo! Nikki is beyond the best hair stylist I’ve ever had in my life. My hair was a messed up bob to summarize, and she put in extensions. The extensions and her work overall was beyond amazing. People couldn’t even tell I had extensions in that’s how natural they looked. The color of the extensions were perfectly matched and there was no need to dye my hair or the extensions themselves. I got the medium quality which usually I believe last between 4 – 6 months. I had them in for about 4 months. They could’ve definetly been in for much longer as the quality was great but I just suck with styling my hair and always had to have my hair up. Now that I can leave my hair down at work I hope to be back soon. Love her! Will go back soon.

Ive had previous experiences with extensions before that made me never want to get them again but after talking to nikki about the different techniques she offers i am so glad i did it. She is very gentle and amazing at blending and styling your hair. I cant wait to get a new set and make my hair fabulous she is the only person i would trust for extensions ever!!!

I had horrible experienced with hair stylists in the past, to the point of needing to get extensions because my hair was breaking so much. I got sewn in extensions at a salon that got good reviews and regretted it even as I was leaving the salon. I found Nikki about a week after and I am so happy that I did.
She not only fixed the mess the previous stylist created, but gave me different options to attach the extensions.
I came in with sewn in extensions and was set on getting them done again. But Nikki introduced me to another technique called the beaded sewn in. Hesitant, I agreed to try them. And I am so happy that I did. I didn’t have any problems with them becoming loose, or any pulling on my hair. I am able to put my hair up and everything I would normally do. Tomorrow is my 3^rd time going back, and there will definitely be many more to come!

I take Unilocal very seriously. When I say Nikki does THE BEST hair extension installation and styling, I mean it!!! She is very precise, professional, careful, and thoughtful. I am rarely happy with my hair when I leave a salon, BUT that was NOT the case when Nikki did my hair. She’s honest about the quality of hair you are buying, which I appreciate. She is a very talented stylish. I highly recommend Nikki to everyone!

I made the plunge to get extensions after I got tired of waiting for my hair to grow. I had already been going to Glo Salon for other services with Julie, but for extensions, Nikki is the lady you want to speak to. Had a consult with her one afternoon and she gave me her recommendations — for a first timer like me, who has never had extensions before, I could go with the low-​quality just to see how they felt and if I wanted to later on, I could upgrade.
The day finally came when I went in and had my extensions installed. It didn’t take long and Nikki cut and styled it beautifully. She gave me a sheet with all the instructions on how to take care of my new hair and gave me tips and what nots. It’s recommended that you go in every 4 – 6 weeks to get them tightened — it seems trivial to do this, but it’s pretty important. Trust. Your hair will feel so much better after.
I managed to make my low-​quality extensions last 6 months, but after Coachella, I decided to upgrade to the medium-​quality ones. SO WORTH IT. You’ll definitely feel the difference; seven months with them and they’re still going strong. I actually have an appointment coming up to get more panels installed. If you’re going with extensions, Nikki is your girl.

there are SO many amazing things I have to say about Nikki and her salon and services.
I’ll start at the beginning, at the very first call I made to the salon when I was searching for prices for a full head of extensions. Miss Allison answered the phone, and she is so sweet and knowledgable she was able to provide an educated answer for every question I had. I immediately knew this was the salon for me. the day of my appointment I checked in at the desk and seriously had to take a second to take everything in. the salon is BEAUTIFUL. Nikki came over to where I was waiting in the gorgeous lobby, introduced herself and we made our way to her chair.
she walked me through every step of the installation process, taught me about the hair and how to take care of it, and we made conversation for the next few hours. she is so laid back and humble, I had no idea she was the OWNER of glo.
she is the only person I will ever allow to install my extensions. I love love love my hair. I don’t have to ever deal with annoying clip ins again, and I know I can trust what she’s done to my hair, never do I have to worry about a track coming lose or losing a bead prematurely.
nikki is the only person you should EVER consider when looking to have extensions installed. she offers a million different colors, types and qualities of hair as well as installation methods.

Amazing work! I had went through one of those moments that I decided to cut my hair really short. Of course, I loved it for two weeks and then hated it. My husband warned me and he was right. I was missing my long hair. So much so that I wanted to get extensions that day. I called and researched several places in OC. I kept coming back to Glo Salon and Nikki. The cost, quality, timeliness and overall service is non comparable. I called made an appointment the next day. It’s been a couple of months and they feel and look natural. I have them tightened every 4 – 6 weeks, it’s quick and easy. I’ve had hair extensions done from another salon, two years ago, and the cost was double and the quality less. I highly recommend Nikki. You will not be disappointed. I receive so many compliments even my 23 year old daughter loved them so much she now has extensions by Nikki.
