Happy Puppy

My cocker spaniel LOVES going to Happy Puppy! The owner knows my dog by name and always greets her cheerfully. They always leave her lashes long and ears nice and curly. We give her a buzz cut during the summer months. I highly recommend Happy Puppy and I am happy to support this family owned business in Fullerton :)

Joey loves baths at home but he always looks so handsome when he visits happy puppy. They are very thorough and listen to your direction very well. You just have to speak up and let them know. Best groomer in north OC hands down.

First of all, it’s a family-​run business, which I always prefer over chain businesses.
Secondly, the whole staff was very sweet and attentive to what I wanted, and the whole facility is very clean and even has cute accessories for sale, which was a great distraction while I was waiting for my pup to finish
My dog is approx. 20lbs and for haircut, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal squeeze was $ 50. When other places asked 45 – 50 $ for just a haircut.
Coco came home very tired or sleepy, I’m not really sure but he slept for 4 hours when he got home

I’ve been coming here to get my 5-​lbs Pomeranian /​Maltese mix dog, and they always do a fantastic job at making her look groomed & adorable.
They are always booked so it’s best to call ahead and make an appointment. It takes anywhere between 2 – 3 hours for a body wash, full cut, and nail clipping. So be ready to drop off your dog & run some errands. The owner (older Korean gentleman) will call the cell phone number you leave behind when you check in as soon as your dog is ready to go!

review is for 2013, dont know if the management is the same. maybe the groomer is still there? — very handsomely got my shihtzu mix groomed here at a great price (wash, cut, nails, ears). the baby came home in a cute little ascot, smelling wonderfully baby powdery fresh. the store was near closing but they took us in anyway, service was great and the lady listens and adheres to your instructions well.

Been coming here for a good amount of years now. My little yorkie always gets so sad after a cut but I’m guessing he’s not the only dog to? Only had one problem with Happy Puppy and that was when he got a pretty deep cut in one area but they paid for his visit to the vet and apologized.
We don’t really get him cut in a picky way, just tell them to give him a summer cut so that he is nice and clean.

I’m updating my review– I remind them to not cut off my dog’s whiskers every visit but they’ve been wonderful.

Happy Puppy has cut my dog’s skin multiple times. When I mentioned that to them, they said it wasn’t their fault and that the cut was there before, which it clearly wasn’t. Bad service, and bad experience everytime I’ve taken my dog there.

This was my first time taking my dogs to Happy Puppy for some grooming. The place is clean. I’m satisfied with the end result, considering the fact that I took my dogs on separate days and each time it took them 4−5hours to have the dogs ready and they shaved one of my dog’s body to where I can see his skin. Over all, they’re decent you just have to give them specific instructions on the haircut you want.

This place drugged my 3 month old puppy without even asking for my permission. Completely speechless I just thought everyone should know. Place should be shut down

The old owners are no longer there. Although they were very nice they sold puppies. Now its a new management and they only specialize in grooming. They no longer sell toy breeds anymore :) The gentleman is really nice, my dog hates groomers period, he will not drag her, he picks her up to take her inside :) they are really nice and do exactly what you want them to do.

I have been taking my 2 dogs here every 2 months for over a year & a half now. I brush my dogs every other day, express their anal glands when needed, brush their teeth twice a week, clean their ears once a week, trim their nails when needed & bathe them once a month at home. I get them groomed when their fur gets too long which is every 2 months. In the beginning I asked what the price was for each dog & I was told it was $ 40 for any type of cut. Today I was asked to pay $ 45 for each dog & I asked the owner why $ 45 now & was told her regular customers pay $ 50 but since I have 2 dogs she’s giving me a discount. That’s a lie! I don’t think her regular customers pay $ 50, well maybe the ones who own a big dog, both my dogs weigh under 20 pounds. I won’t be taking my dogs here anymore.

Took in my English BullDog «Bruno» today and the place was clean and spotless. I was impressed by the upkeep of the place. I was met by a gentleman who was real helpful and took in Bruno with no reservations. I have gone to a few local groomers and they blew me off cause I brought in a slobbering bulldog. Took 2 hours and upon my return Bruno was looking clean and even had a hankie around his neck. For 35 bucks, they bathed him, cleaned his ears, clipped his nails and even cleaned out his AssHole. Two thumbs up, will be coming back again.

TO BEGIN WITH. Happy PUPPY — R U FREAKING SERIOUS!
Took my Maltese to get him groom and REQUESTED a puppy cute even shown a PICTURE of the CUT!!! They said OK come back within a couple hours.
Came back to pick him up and THEY COMPLETELY SHAVED HIM to the point I could see the skin. Please note my dog is only 5lb and its FREAKING Rainy and COLD outside!!!
Knowing that the guy screwed up they charged 35 dollars instead of 40 dollars! WTF!
WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND SHAVES A SMALL DOG IN THE MIDDLE OF COLD WEATHER!
Seriously this OWNER needs to CLOSE THE SHOP if they can’t do anything beyond getting a clipper and shaving a dog!
NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!

I love Happy Puppy! I recommend this place to everyone. All the workers are friendly and do their job well. .My dog isn’t easy to deal with especially with people he doesn’t know… But I don’t have to worry when I drop off my dog! They are extra cautious when dealing win him! He is always clean and well groomed whenever I pick him up! Try them out!

I’ve been taking my dog here for about a year now and the owners are very kind and caring about the dogs. There is a main groomer there, she’s also the owner of the place, and she’s been taking care of my dog really well. My dog’s very hyper, but the groomer does it so well I feel very relieved every time. My dog really likes this place too! She doesn’t get scared to go get groomed. Also, my dog’s ears were not very clean and I didn’t realize that until the groomer told me about it. She gave me tips on how to take care of my dog’s ears on a daily and after that her ears are always clean. I’m glad she told me because it could have led to an ear infection.
I highly recommend this place if you haven’t checked this place out yet! You never really know how the place is until you check it out yourself :)

As an avid Unilocaler, I’ve always been one to read reviews and never leave one… But this recent experience was so horrifying that I had to leave my first review about it so other Unilocalers won’t have to experience it…
If I can rate this place with 0 stars, I would. WORST customer experience ever! Be prepared to be treated poorly and rudely. They will charge double without your consent and attempt to hold your pet hostage for a service charge you were never aware of. It’s a terrible experience that no pet lover should ever go through. Save yourself some precious time and find another groomer that will treat you and your pet with respect and honest to goodness customer service!

I have been coming here for about 3 years and the price and service has been declining…
When they first opened they had a coupon for 50% off for first time customer. So my dog’s cut was $ 20 for a medium size pom mix. I called and asked over the phone and they gave me an estimate of $ 40.
Upon arrival, they saw how fluffy my pom mix was more on the bigger side; he’s fatter and fluffier. But they were friendly enough to honor the price they gave me on the phone. So I was a happy camper on my first visit.
The Korean owners do not pay attention to what you say half the time. I have asked for a complete cut — cut everything for the summer for my dog including legs, tail, behind the ears. everything! One time they left the legs… so my dog looks unfinished. So I took my dog home with an unfinished hair cut.
They also have a card for recording keeping. So they keep track of what they charge you. So with each visitation, they just keep increasing my price of $ 5 per visit or cut.
It started with $ 40…
then $ 45…
then $ 50…
then $ 55…
now $ 60???
Making more and more excuses. My dog has the same hair condition and it has not changed. They keep saying «long hair». I just think that they are trying to make up their loss by charging other customers because of THE INCIDENT WITH ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHERE THEY CUT THEIR DOG.

Rude and horrible customer service. I would not recommend taking your dog here unless you would like them to upsell you when you go pick them up, due to the fact that they had «extra tangles».

This place hurt my dog!!! The guy was rude to start with. Got home and my dog was hurting from his hip/​butt area. The price went up from $ 35 to $ 50. If that’s the case, I’ll take him to a professional.
