If I could give zero stars i would. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is disgusting it smells in the room everything looks and feels dirty. I booked this room thru hotwire (never again). Its almost 4 in the morning and I cant sleep at all. The staff is rude as soon as I walked in 1 i wasnt even greeted i walked up to the counter and the lady rude as hell said what. I told her I had reservations (Which i couldnt cancel) she asked for my id told me there is $ 100 holding fee no big deal. I feel like im in a scary movie the hotel is so wore down worst experience so much for a romantic 1 year anniversary. This place sucks id rather sleep in my car. Oh lets not forget the pictures on the website are full of shit false advertisement at its finest

As others have said, the lobby looks great, and the rest is pretty run-​down. The room was fine, but would have been better with a microwave (why does the hotel shop sell microwavable food?) I didn’t have any fire alarms during my 4 day stay, so maybe they’ve fixed that part. I did have noise problems though. I called the desk at 10:30 to request more quiet from next door, and apparently that guest really tried, but kept forgetting. That was on the first night. The rest of the nights were quiet. Despite the proximity (~1 mile) to my destination, and the nearby amenities (a mall next door has everything I might need), I won’t be staying there again.

Well, let’s see. I am writing this review at 330 AM in the morning after being woken up for the 2^nd time with the fire alarms going off. If it was a nice hotel, I probably would have tend to think it was a false alarm. But this hotel is in such BAD shape, it is more likely to burn down than not!
As the tourist 90% Asian, filed out of their rooms with their Mickey Mouse gear in tow. I decide to call front desk. Where I was just greeted with a laughing clerk.
Saying it was a false alarm. I didn’t bother calling on the second alarm!
Now about the hotel. The front lobby looks ok. That is where it ended! As soon as you pass that you notice the dingy carpet through the hall ways circa 1980. The doors painted a disgusting fleshy color with chipped paint and peeling wall paper. (same 1980 era)
Oh almost forgot. They charge you 75.00 for incidentals. Of which there is NONE to be had anyway.
There is no water, no restaurant that is open., no bar that is open. The vending machine does not even work. Ice machine was not there on the 3^rd floor either.
Went to use the toilet and when you flush the water is barely moving. (Shaken not stirred) Went to use the shower, and the water dribbled out of there as well.
Gross shower head. Peeling wall paper, funky smell, dingy carpet, everything was so gross, you did not want to touch it. This should be rated a one star motel.
To sum it up…

Somebody needs to burn this place down for reals!
Fire alarm went off at least 4 more times between 4am and 8am. Talked to the supervisor, and they have nothing to say. Basically called me a liar, when I said why were you guys laughing at 330am when calling the front desk? They said there was no female working at that time. Fuck you HoJo. What a mistake!

I won’t ever be staying here again. The lobby is very pretty but that’s how they trick you.
There a little ramp near the elevator that seems like it’s about to break because it’s juts a piece of plywood with carpet over it. The hallway has huge patchwork that has been done but isn’t painted over. It kind of looked like they were in the middle of renovating or just finished and forgot to finish.
When we got into our room (king size bed) the room was small, which was okay. Bed was lumpy and made a lot of creeking/​thumping noises just by sitting on it. The walls looked like they were falling apart. And all the outlets didn’t work. They were extremely loose and when you tried to plug a charger into any of them, it would fall out onto the floor almost immediately. So I called the front desk and asked to be moved to a different room. Well apparently we had the last king size room and all they had available was a double full bed room. The outlets in that room didn’t work either. Thank goodness the lamps in that room had outlets in there and the outlet in the bathroom worked too.
The beds in the room were awful and rock hard. It felt like the floor would’ve been better. There wasn’t a fan in the bathroom and there was hair in the shower tub. There were stains on the comforter. The air conditioner worked, but not very well. We ended up pushing the two beds togetherso that we could sleep together at night. There is not showet cutrain, just a sheet. Who knkws how often that gets cleaned (gross!)
The elevator was also broken during our stay. We were located on the 3^rd floor. It was broken fkr two days. They fixed it on our checkout date.
The only good things about the hotel are the breakfast. It is VERY good. And the shuttle that takes you to Disneyland. Which is very convenient. But that is it.
We took a last minute trip to Disneyland for my birthday, so we got lucky to find a room for us. 5 days and 4 nights. But we definitely learned our lesson and will make sure to plan better in the future. We won’t ever stay here again, unless it’s our last resort.
If you don’t mind uncomfortable beds and don’t plan on charging anything, then you’ll probably like it here. Oh and it’s an extra $ 11 a night to have a fridge. Not sure what they charge for a microwave. I didn’t ask after they told me the price for the fridge.
I wish i had read reviews before staying here. Someones room had bedbugs!!! Now im freaked out that ours may have had them too. Great!

Interesting place… the lobby is very nice, giving the perception that the hotel is higher quality than it really is. Once you get 100 feet into the hotel it starts to age. The rooms are fine.
The problems we experienced included front desk staff/​management with zero enforcement of noise policies. We were awoken by neighbors hooting and hollering at 3 AM. They would not quiet down for us so we called the desk. They called the room to request they quiet down, but were ignored. Repeat that process two more times over 20 minutes, and finally they told us that if we wanted the neighbors to quiet down, we would have to call the police! Very strange that a hotel didn’t seem to care to enforce its own noise policies.
The free breakfast was better than most I’ve had.
Location is great if you’re doing things in Fullerton.

I did not read the reviews. Do not stay here. This place is filthy, cheap and old. The bathrooms are old the toilet is gross the shower is gross the countertops are gross the carpet is old and dirty towels suck cheap repair is everywhere. I wish the owner of this hotel would fire everybody and gut it (but they obviously don’t care).

Will not answer phone at front desk. Reservations literally said to call the police to report a problem. Said team leader had «No Power» to help. Would not give me a manager and hung up on me 2 times. Put me on hold 6 times for 10 to 20 minutes each time. Terrible customer service. Just wanted to see what was official time of conference that was booked next day. Stay away.

We booked two nights here for a quick trip to Disneyland. We drove from Vegas and arrived there after dark. The desk clerk directed us to a gate that led to a door right outside our room. I was grateful for that because I’m recovering from ankle surgery. The gate, however, didn’t work. It looked like the card reader didn’t have any electricity run to it (or batteries or whatever), because it blinked feebly but wouldn’t open. We walked around and found another gate. Thankfully it opened, and it wasn’t that far to the door that led to interior hallway. That door, however, wouldn’t open. The bottom pulled open, but it was stuck at the top. We ended up walking completely around the building to find a way in. My husband called the desk to let them know, but they were supremely uninterested. Later, we went out to the car to get some more things and found that the door had been forced open by someone (there was a bolt at the top that held it shut. Unfortunately, that meant that the door would no longer close. So much for security.
The room itself was disappointing. There was mold in the bathtub that wasn’t completely covered by the new caulking and stains on the rug. The electrical outlets in the room were all so old or cheap that they wouldn’t hold a plug. I tried to plug in the floor lamp for some light, and found that the switch on the lamp was broken. The shower was pretty good, but instead of a shower curtain, they had a cloth outer curtain with no liner. That means that it was soaked quickly and stuck to you while you showered (and I’m sure it doesn’t get pulled down and washed often… gross.) Housekeeping was also haphazard at best. The first night we had no washcloths; the second night we had one. We also woke up during the night to find the sheet on the bed bunched up at the top – the king-​sized bed had been made with a queen-​sized sheet.
I didn’t give this place one star because the breakfast was pretty good. It was the usual hotel fare: eggs, bacon/​sausage, potatoes, etc. But it was kept hot and replenished often. Also, the dining room is large, so you could usually find a place to sit. I did notice that the lobby/​conference center area didn’t have the same tired run-​down look as the rooms, so it would be easy to be fooled into thinking this was a nice place.
This hotel was a disappointment and definitely not worth the money.

My family stayed here for three nights. As we got there we liked that it was off the freeway so it was easy to find. It had plenty of parking, witch they did not charge for which was a plus. Easy check in and check out. The complementary breakfast was great and filling, especially before a long day at Disneyland. They had a lot of food to choose from. Our room was a standard King on the first floor that was right in front of the pool. The pool wasn’t too big nor to small it was nice since my family were the only ones in the pool. I didn’t like that the jacuzzi wasn’t working. And also my wife seen a pincher bug in the bed and a roach in the restroom. Would have gave it three stars but the bugs were a no no.

My wife booked this hotel through Hotwire. She didn’t see the bad reviews. We were about to leave without seeing the room but I took a look just to make sure it was as bad as the reviews before wasting $ 80+
I was surprised to find that the room was clean and look it was recently remodeled. Clean carpet. Newer furniture. And clean linens. We stayed in the fourth floor. I don’t know if the hotel is remodeling and previous reviews stayed in the old section.
Overall I have no complaints. Free shuttle to Disneyland too. I would stay here again.

First of all this hotel is mediocre but for two college students traveling down for Disneyland it’s definitely budget friendly. I’ve stayed here 3x and the first two times were okay, nothing to complain about HOWEVER this time around I was highly unhappy! First of all I know where and how to keep track of my things when I travel. My Disneyland ears were missing the next morning and my best friend’s fanny pack was missing. We believe it was «taken» between dinner when we left last night and this morning when we checked out. We were unable to locate the items in our car and luggage but I CLEARLY remember our items being in our room last night. It’s terrible that you can’t even leave your hotel room for a nice night out without worrying about your shit.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in, two words BED BUGS. It was so disgusting to wake up with blood stains on the sheets and then see them crawling!!!

I went to this hotel today since my family is here for a couple days. We arrived around 2:30 and there were already complications with the hotel from the place we booked it. My family booked a total of 4 bedrooms and 3 of the bedrooms were good until they told us that the last room got cancelled. I’ve stayed calmed but it doesn’t take 3 hours to book a room.
Now once we got into our room, I went to the bathroom and it was just totally disgusting. It seemed like there were red stains on the towels, the tub is rusty and the floors didn’t even look clean. I’m not going to lie but it seemed like the bathroom was from a scary movie.
Looking around the walls weren’t as clean and my legs started to itch when I say on the bed. If I didn’t have to stay another night here, I definitely would’ve gotten a better hotel than this.
Let’s just say that I will never come back to this hotel location ever.

Let me start by saying this hotel is nothing like the ‘professional’ pictures that are on here. We checked in early and the room was cleanish… the bathroom was bright white with a single sink, toilet, and a shower with plastered in holes. Our first set of towels had one towel that had black stuff all over it. So we left it on the ground and received another towel with black stuff on it. Who knows what that is from.
The sheets were clean but the yellow decretive quilt at the end of the bed was stained.
The hotel breakfast was mediocre– cold eggs, squishy pancakes.
All and all the hotel would be fine it it wasn’t set at the price it’s at.

A rundown dump that advertiseds way better than it is. On tour bus route so that is the only reason it stays alive. No shower curtain, torn carpet, smelly in wall air conditioner. Just ready for a major demolition in my opinion.

We rang the hotel a week, and two days before our check in date to let them know we are arriving earlier than the check in time. The lady we spoke with said «No problem. We’ll have a room for you when you arrived.» And that it will be noted.
We arrived as we have informed the lady we spoke with (a week before, and two days) before our arrival date. The front desk said there were no messages bout us arriving early, and having a room ready for us. So I explained to front desk that I’ve been speaking with someone in this location about us arriving early and will be guaranteed a room upon arrival.
Front desk simply said, «No we don’t do that.» And offered no other explanation to us. We asked for the manager in charge, but no one is available at that time. It was too late for us to look for another accommodation, especially during the holidays.
We waited 4 bloody dreadful hours for a room with worn down stained carpet. Best of all, my BF was locked in the bathroom for nearly 2hours because the lock malfunctioned.
Listen, I know you get what you paid for. However, this is simply absurd!

I am currently in this hotel room writing a review because I’m so pissed, and I hate to complain but it’s necessary to save others from my experience.
This hotel is cheap for a reason people! At first glance I was convinced our room was dirty. Upon closer inspection I realized that our room hasn’t been updated since 1973. The towels are the worst in the world (paper towels are softer) and our bathtub doesn’t drain (sooooo gross)! Our room smells like smoke which makes me sad because I have two small children with me.
I booked this through Hotwire and I’m disappointed they allowed this to be a 3star hotel on their site. It’s bad here, guys, very very bad.

This Hotel was the most disgusting hotel my fiancé and I have ever stayed at. We booked this hotel on
. We booked due to the price and the location. We only paid 92 $ and it was located close to Disneyland with a free shuttle. This drew our attention and we figured since it’s near Disney, it can’t be that bad.
When arriving we walked into what was a beautiful lobby with a grand piano and well air-​conditioned room. After checking into our room, we started to walk down the hallway. As you got further into the hotel, there was no air-​conditioning on. We then come to realize that our room was in a different building. It was an older building towards the back of the hotel property. We walked in and they were working on the elevator. Since our room was on the 3^rd floor we looked for the stairs. The man working on the elevator said the stairs were on the outside of the building. After finding the stairs the door was locked and we could not use them. The elevator guy said he didn’t have a key. At that point, I went back to the front desk and complained. I told them «this is a terrible first impression.» 20 mins later we finally made it to our room. When walking in (room 369) it smelt so bad. My fiancé and I decided to look around and make sure everything was ok. We found what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet. The curtains had coffee spilled all over them. The lock on the door was falling out. This really made us mad. Since we were tired we didn’t want to leave so I asked for a better and nicer room. The lady at the front found us a room that was clean and had no issues.
I suggest that no one stay at this hotel.
The reason I gave them 1 star was for the free shuttle and decent breakfast. The breakfast was another thing they messed up for us. They gave us the wrong date on the meal cards and we almost didn’t get in.
The hotel is very unorganized and unclean. There are better hotels closer to Disneyland that would offer guests a much better experience. Those hotels might be more expensive, but it’s worth the money so you don’t have to go through what we did. Never staying at a Howard Johnson Inn again.

This is a good hotel for the price you pay. Never felt unsafe and the staff was cordial and friendly. They accommodated our 1pm arrival and we got into our room right away.

4. Free, but slow, wifi
5. Comfortable beds
6. Free, decent breakfast — tiny double shot glasses for your orange juice and milk is provided, but you’ll need a refill after each sip
Cons:
1. No ice machine, but you are given an ice bucket
2. Both nights we stayed we got a 5AM wake up call that was not asked for and it said 7 o’clock on the phone — slightly confused
3. No bathroom fan — fog city with warm shower

I’m being nice by giving it two stars.
The good: cheap, close to Disneyland, nice grounds.
The bad: keys choose when they want to work, dirty floors, woke up to ants on the night stand (gross), trash in the halls, the inside of the tower was under construction, I didn’t get a breakfast ticket.
I won’t ever stay here again, but it may get better once construction is finished. There’s plenty of other hotels in that price range that are better and don’t have ants crawling over your stuff when you wake up.
