JJ the Dj was everything and more than what I was expecting. I was so impressed with them being on time and setting up. Being so polite making sure they announced names correctly. The music was by far the best part, I had guests of all ages attend my wedding and everyone was dancing. It was the perfect upbeat music that was appropriate as well. Thank you JJ we are forever grateful.

In the beginning we were going to have our wedding at New Land barn and did not know what dj to get but i found JJ THE DJ. Throughout the wedding process we changed our venue and Trisha was cool about it. Trisha was fast at responding to my texts and very patient when it came to us sending her our sound planner (sorry Trisha). But in the end leo the dj and Trisha at the photobooth were awesome and we do not regret getting them for our wedding. Thank you so much!

For our wedding on April 30, 2016, we knew nothing about where to go for a DJ. The venue we were having our wedding, the Oviatt Penthouse, highly recommended JJ the DJ and so we reached out. Almost immediately, we heard back from the JJ the DJ team. They were extremely friendly and most of all professional, which reassured us greatly. There was a first set of messages and then a call with JJ to get an idea of availability, what services were available, and an estimate on price. Just talking with JJ was great as he has an infectious good humor about him. We were set and booked them.
6 months later, we had our call to prepare for the actual event. We were meeting to discuss the Sound Planner around what we wanted and it was quite a relief to hear that absolutely everything we wanted in terms of music throughout the event was going to be available. JJ was enthusiastic and knew the vibe we were going for from the chosen music…
…and cut to the event this past weekend, and it was done flawlessly. Our cocktail hour music was great and was precisely what we were hoping for, JJ emcee’d the event and was just the right amount of fun, and of course JJ & Mike pulled off a great night of songs for dancing through the night. Not to mention they had everything set up on time before the event, ensuring our night would go off without a hitch.
In short, JJ the DJ is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a great wedding DJ!

JJ is simply amazing!!! If you want everyone dancing and having a good time that all relies on the dj being great. Seriously most important part of your wedding is the dj, you need someone who can provide mics for the ceremony if you need it and to be on cue for the music during the ceremony, along with someone who can get everyone’s attention so moments aren’t missed, and well as for the dancing someone who can read the crowd and play music that gets the group moving. Jj is someone amazing to work with, always positive, always responds quickly, and is very helpful. He is the best dj and the most reliable you could have for your big day.
Also the photobooth package so worth it! It’s a big photoboth so standing and takes flattering photos, with great props and a backdrop. No stress and easy.

My wedding was on Friday and for everyone that knows planning a wedding is probably one of the most stressful things. I had a phone meeting with jj two days prior to my wedding and we went over all the song genres and what he recommended and so forth. We went with more classy music for cocktail hour, a variety for dinner and then obviously some fun dance music for dancing. After my husband and I were announced husband and wife he played the song at the perfect time. During the whole partying hour I had a few of my friends go over to jj and ask him for a song request. Most djs get annoyed of that and are rude. Jj was so extremely easy to work with they also brought a photo booth and the girls that were working it were so nice. They made my night truly special. Don’t hire anyone else for any of your parties!!! My husband and I loved jj so much we felt like he became our friend haha.

JJ was wonderful! We weren’t sure which DJ would show up from his company on our wedding date but turns out it was him! JJ played all of the songs we requested (and the ones we didn’t want) and so many guests complimented us/​him on the song selections. Seriously, almost everyone at our wedding was dancing from start to finish! JJ was also helpful with setting up our special performance artist. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ/​MC experience.

We love JJ and Trisha!!! Such a fun time at our wedding. JJ did a great job keeping our guests entertained and we loved our photo booth. You can’t go wrong with these professionals!

Can’t say enough good things about this company, so I’ll keep it short! We booked them to do the photobooth at our Halloween wedding, and it totally made the party. They showed up early, set up without any trouble and pretty much without me even noticing, and brought plenty of props and even some Halloween themed props. Trisha ran the whole thing flawlessly and was so easy to work with. We got a photo album at the end of all of our guests’ photo strips, and digital copies as well.
I would have assumed that a photobooth would be a luxury wedding item that we couldn’t possibly afford on our DIY budget, but it was cheap compared to any other company I spoke to– and so worth it for the priceless moments they captured.

I was the groom for a wedding that JJ and his staff did at the Oviatt Penthouse in DTLA on October 24^th. Everyone had a blast hamming it up in the photobooth. The additions of props made for some interesting poses, haha.
After the wedding had ended, all anyone could talk about was the music and how awesome it was. Donny, our DJ for the night kept the party going with the music selection, mostly hip-​hop from the 90’s, which I requested. There was hardly a time when nobody was on the dance floor. In fact, it was one of the few weddings where people stayed and danced until the very last song. Not only was he a great DJ, but he was a great MC for the event, setting the pace and the tone for everything including the grand entrance, to the speeches, and the bouquet toss.
JJ and his staff should be commended on the awesome job they performed that night. Not only that, but for the professionalism they showed during the planning process even before the wedding, being thorough and quick to respond to emails.
Our wedding was unforgettable, not only for my wife and I, but for our guests as well, and JJ and his crew are a big reason for that.

I just want to say thank you for everything! Trisha was a pleasure to work with in setting up for the event. JJ and the photo booth attendant (Matt) did an amazing job at the event. Everyone hade fun, and JJ was a huge help in moving the wedding along from one thing to another. JJ and Matt helped tremendously in coordinating the party, and I am so thankful because I did not have a wedding coordinator. The music was great, everyone enjoyed dancing, the photo booth was a huge hit, and JJ and Matt are polite, professional, and fun. I even have pictures of some of my guests pulling Matt into some of the photo booth pictures! We really appreciate everything they did that night, and we know they worked very hard. All my guests kept telling me it was the best wedding they had been too!

What an amazing experience!
My brother got married this past weekend and I am so glad JJ was a part of our evening. First of all, he really knew how to time the music well. Once my brother and sister in law were pronounced husband and wife, the chorus of the song started at the perfect time and really made the moment special. During dinner, he played a really lovely variety of jazz standards, and set the mood for a nice dinner. JJ and I had been in contact a few days before the wedding because I wanted to sing the first dance song. He was extremely helpful in making this possible, which I really appreciated. Throughout the evening, his music selection was awesome. He played everything from today’s hits to some really solid throwbacks. Either way, the transitions were seamless and kept people dancing until the end. Overall, I would definitely say he added a lot to the night!

JJ did a great job at our wedding. He kept things moving and had a crowded dance floor the entire event! JJ is personable, reads the crowd well, and makes for an enthusiastic emcee.
I recommend checking in before the ceremony on the day of to ensure any particular requests from the sound planner you fill out. I had requested a particular Jack Johnson song for our procession thinking it meant family and bridal party, but JJ ended up playing a classical song for the family entrance and then the requested song for the bridal party only. It didn’t bother me too much, but I would’ve preferred to specify my request before the ceremony. Just a simple miscommunication that could’ve been avoided had I checked in before the event instead of only relying on the paper.
Overall, great service and a fun night!

My husband and I got married in May 2015 and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. We have to give credit where credit is due and JJ the DJ was a huge contributor to making it such an amazing and unforgettable night for everyone. He was very easy to work with through the entire process and really listened to our needs and wants. He was an entertaining Emcee, moved through the order of events at the perfect pace, and left plenty of time at the end for us to dance and party. Actually, the word «party» even seems to be an understatement for the kind of night we had! I truly mean it when I say that there was never a moment when the dance floor wasn’t packed. In fact, everyone (myself included) mentioned that when they would try to leave the dance floor for a quick breather, another great song would come on and they would come rushing back. When the night ended, our guests were still super pumped. Someone had asked where the «after party» would be held and another guests excitedly said, «Where ever JJ the DJ is going!!!» My husband and I always jokingly (or maybe not so jokingly =P) talk about having a huge celebration for our one year anniversary just so we can rehire JJ and spend another evening dancing the night away =)!!! I can go on and on but no amount words can ever do any justice.

We just had our wedding yesterday 08÷08÷15… and my wife and I are so happy on the quality of work the JJ THE DJ team brought to our special day… Starting from our awesome DJ/​Emcee LEO… he kept everybody dancing. great at reading the crowd… plus really professional and kept everything right on schedule… our deal even had a L.E.D technician who would control our up lighting and kept the room looking good… Our Photo booth was awesome… I recommend getting it custom made… it’s worth the money. a special thanx also to the girl assisting on the photo booth… sorry forgot your name… but she was super nice… shout out also to Trisha. their sales manager/​customer service. she handled all the details and kept on constant communication with me so that their service would be to my satisfaction… overall, we had an awesome wedding. and I know the JJ THE DJ team was a big part of it… THANK YOU!!!

As a wedding coordinator I was extremely picky with the vendors I chose for my own wedding and the first person that came to mind for my DJ was JJ. I have witnessed JJ at other weddings and he is hands down the best DJ I have worked with but to be on the other side as a bride, dancing with my husband and friends, I was beyond happy that he worked my wedding. His timing and energy are right on, he gets the crowd going with the best music choices. He also follows great direction — I asked for country music at dinner time and I got it. The rest of the night was fist pumping, booty shaking, jumping up and down perfectly mixed dance music.
I also have to commend his team. I corresponded with Trisha throughout the whole planning process of my wedding. She was great with emails and answered every and all questions promptly. I felt important and taken cared of and that is so important when you are planning the most special day of your life. I highly recommend JJ and his team for any event!!!

There is just no one better then JJ. He made our wedding so much fun. He is the kindest person as well. And when you are a bride going crazy he eases your mind. The music kept us dancing until the very end. You must use him for your events!!! I’d give him more then 5 stars if

I was very pleased with how JJ ran our wedding. I especially liked how at the last minute he was able to provide the music for ceremony and chose songs to fill in since I only gave him songs for the processional. At the reception, he kept the events moving smoothly and as we entered the wedding, he got our guests very excited and into welcoming us in. He made our day perfect and we felt lucky to have him.

I found JJ on Unilocal and he definitely lived up to his reviews. He arrived early to set everything up and even had the complete playlist that we emailed him ready to play. His equipment is state of the art and sounded fantastic and the laser/​lights were great. He made the announcements that we asked of him and he also made additional announcements to keep the party jumping. He made my daughters 14^th birthday party a great success. I will use JJ in the future and you should too for any DJ services needed.

JJ was hired to emcee our company department’s holiday parties for two years now once at the Crevier Classic Cars and another time on The Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters-​Royal Princess. Both times he gave a stellar performance he’s on-​time; would help setting up even took photos of the event.
What’s great about working with JJ you can just give him a vague idea of what you have in mind for music your party atmosphere and he’s able to deliver an unforgettable event, that gets your party out there seat and dancing.
I highly would recommend him for any corporate event or private parties.

We hired Jon «JJ» Jacinto to DJ and emcee our wedding, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results! First off, my husband and I are musicians, so the music choices and timing were extremely important to us. We had special music files we were emailing to him just days before the wedding (original songs written by us or friends), in addition to playlists. We were VERY pleased he did not miss not one single detail on the day of!
He ran sound for the ceremony, cueing and fading each song exactly where we wanted it to occur. Then when it came time for the reception… even though JJ was paired with our wedding «Day of Coordinator» to help manage our timeline, he was in charge of much of that, announcing the grand entrance into the reception, introducing toasts, first dances, etc. And best of all, once it got to the point in the reception to let him «do his thing» as the mixmaster/​DJ, he went from hit to hit to hit.
Our guests didn’t leave the dance floor until the very last call. They all commented on what an amazing job he did, not playing too much of any one song, going into the next favorite song, into the next. He was AWESOME at his job, and such a nice, fun guy to work with!!!
As I have since gone into business as a wedding planner, I have recommended him to several brides and always get big thank you’s from them afterwards for the referral. Highly recommended :)

JJ is an amazing DJ! He’s rocked my best friend’s wedding, my birthday and from my party, another friend hired him for her party! He’s very professional, personable and customizes play lists to your preferences but can also read a crowd to keep the dance floor rockin! He also does uplighting and photo booths — DEFINITELY recommend him!

JJ rocks! A great DJ will know how to read a crowd and get their legs moving. That’s JJ for you! He played at our Annual Holiday Party and everyone kept saying they had such a great time. I definitely recommend him and would absolutely use him again in the future. Thanks JJ!

We hired JJ the DJ for my dad’s retirement party last Friday. I’m so glad we did!!! He was amazing! The party was at a hall in La Mirada and had about 125 guests. After we booked him, he called to go through the set list to make sure he plays exactly what we want him to. My parents wanted «Dancing to the Oldies» and that is what they got! Their friends never left the dance floor! He takes requests and has anything you ask of him.
He’s a great DJ, but it doesn’t end there… When I told him about our lighting guy not being able to help us out for the party, he stepped in and offered his expertise. The hall looked incredible! Everyone commented on how the place has never looked better. He was able to give us a price that fit our budget.
The day after the party, I received an email with pictures from the party. It was so nice of him do that! We sent the pictures out to all of the party attendees, who enjoyed reliving the party.
We will definitely be hiring him for all parties and I highly suggest you do the same!!!

Had a pleasure to work with JJ to work mine and my cousins combined birthday celebration. We got the photo booth, DJ, and some uplighting.
He was very professional and even though we forgot some things he was able to look up the music and think fast on his toes!
The photo booth was so much fun! Endless photos with cute props!
