Juice It Up!

Was on campus for a meeting and don’t venture to this location often but stopped by here to get my fav Evergreen smoothie. Not sure why the bad reviews, I was greeted by a very friendly cashier who asked me how my day was and made my smoothie with a smile on her face. It was prompt, well blended and tasted delicious! The shop also appeared clean, well stocked and well maintained. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m on campus! :)

I have been coming to this Juice It Up at the TSU for a couple of years now and have always had a good experience coming here. The place is always so clean and everyone is so friendly! I have seen as this place had gone changes from adding the the raw juice bar to the overall appearance, but the great service always stayed the same. I remember they used to have the reward cards that used to get stamped and now I have the new rewards card that they use and I’m collecting my points!
When I first started coming here I tried every single smoothie off their menu each time I went in until I found the one that I like the most and once I did, that’s the one I keep ordering to this very day! Overall, great customer service and I’ve always had a good experience so I will continue to come here.

So I ordered an acai bowl and the guy who helped me, Ryan, literally had no personality and acted as if he was annoyed that I came and ordered food… And then it took 10 minutes to make my bowl! And I was the only customer they had! I used to work at Jamba Juice (competitor to Juice it up) and we would crank out acai bowls in 3 minutes. Then they drenched it in honey so it’s far too sweet. They ran out of bananas and so they put these nasty mushy strawberries on top. Needless to say this is the worst acai bowl I’ve ever had. And terrible customer service!!! Grab yourself a coffee at the cup instead!

The smoothy is good, but the service is not. Came here for the first time and ordered the «Raw Fusion». There were two staffs at that time. A guy with a mad face showed up and took my order. After making my smoothy, he put it on the counter, and walked away. How I suppose to know it was my order? I stood in front of the counter, and had to asked him. If you do not want to work, stay home! I have to work to, and I NEVER act with my customers like him. Wish the manager can see my review. If you wanna know who took my order, check for the day and time: it was monday 4, 2016 around 6:00p, and you should know who was that guy.

So my friend and I went to this juice it up again to try it again and see if they got better. This time we got a juice. We were watching the employee do the juice and the first thing I notice was that she got out a container that already had pre made juice of cucumber or whatever it was that it had. We were watching her the whole time she made it. I noticed that she didn’t add any ginger or kale to our drinks. We went back and the other employee asked her coworker if she had put any ginger in the drink since we complained. She was in the back and she saw me but didn’t decide to come out to talk to us or fix our drinks. This wouldn’t have been a problem if she came out to fix our drinks but instead she lied to us saying she did but in reality she really didn’t since I was watching her the whole time she was making it. Don’t waste my time and at least add ALL the ingredients that are listed. $ 9 wasted.
1^st Review:
I asked for an extra thick acai bowl and they still made it watery. I know for a fact that you’re not suppose to add any ice in the bowls so I don’t know why the employee did that. On top of that, she barely gave me any granola and my bowl wasn’t even half way filled. She said that her manager told them to keep it like that. Working from a juice bar, I know for a fact that you’re not suppose to give customers that small amount and at least try and make it look nice. Such a sloppy job and the bowls always comes out super watery.

As a former Cal State Fullerton student, I frequented this Juice It up several times per week. Trying to keep things fresh, I tried my share of the smoothies. I never ordered a smoothie that was not enjoyable. If it wasn’t satisfactory, I’m sure the employees would happily make me a new one.
I only have good things to say about Ellie, the manager at this location. She was always very friendly each time I visited. Since I came so often, she got to know me and we would have brief chats while I waited in line.
I am not certain if they still give frequent visitors stamp cards, but I took advantage of this while I visited. After a given amount of purchases, I received a free drink.
I had the pleasure of visiting this location yesterday afternoon while I visited campus. Ellie recognized me even though I haven’t visited in over a year. We had a nice chat. I also noticed that Juice it up has added several new items including raw juices, fresh juices, as well as the original items that I remembered. Some of these newer items are a bit pricey, but it’s nice to see healthier options for students.
I don’t have any comments on the bowls that are served here. I have never ordered one. This is a smoothie place, not an ice cream shop.

I debated on giving this place at least two stars, but I decided against it. I just bought an Acai berry bowl for $ 7.95. Super expensive! I wasn’t going to buy it because of the price and I read previous reviews saying that it wasn’t worth it, but I was hungry and I wanted something healthy with fruit and I’m pregnant so I figured why not just try it out instead of starving my growing baby.
I definitely wouldn’t ever purchase the bowl gain. The smoothies such as the chai and mango mania are pretty good, but the Acai bowls aren’t. Jamba Juice has way better bowls for about a dollar cheaper and better bang for your buck.
I also didn’t like how the cashier took cash and gave change with her gloves, didn’t change out her gloves nor wash her hands, and then proceeded to make the customer’s drink. GROSS! I should’ve said something =[

Holy crap this is expensive… I got the pitaya bowl and its about $ 7, at other places you pay $ 8 and get more than twice they give you. PLUS they actually have fresh fruit unlike today where they ran out of freah fruit and had frozen instead.
Ill never come here again.

Why does the service here always suck? Long waits, grumpy workers, and not cheap. It’s too bad because the smoothies and bowls are good, but the abysmal customer service makes me never want to return.

The lemon smoothie here was pricey, about $ 4 for a small size. But service was friendly, my drink came out fast, and my smoothie tasted great! Woman at the register came to help right away. I love good service :-).

Thought I’d give another chance buying the pitaya bowl again, never again. It’s always soupy, and this time I found a huge chunk of pitaya in my bowl. Bleh. $ 7 not worth it. I only bought it because I’m stuck in school. :/
Stick to smoothies.

«Strawberry Crazy with vitamin boost» is my best. Their service is helpful and excellent. I am very curious who named these drinks :)

I love Juice it Up, but the service here blows. The last time I was here, I was literally STARED down by the girl working, because I guess she had already called my name a few times before I reached the counter to pick up my drink. Hardcore mad-​dogged me. I’m sorry you hate your job, girlfriend, but don’t get mad at me! Bad attitude + long waits = unhappy Steph. I only order from here when it’s convenient.
The juice it up cart on campus has much nicer people working!

Its juice it up so I gotta love it. Located on campus, I don’t have time as much anymore to get something here since I have class at night now. Y’all need to open up at night so that I can get my juice late. Plus you already know theres some fly honeys working here.

The acai bowls are pretty good, but they are always out of acai packs by the end of the week!!! Boo.

I like this Juice it up, it’s my favorite snack place on campus. The staff is always really friendly and like joking around even though its so early in the morning, my order is always right and they get everything out pretty quick.

Service is decent

Great fast service. Acaii bowls and their new mayan and hawaiian bowls are the best thing to get for lunch at school. Tastes fresh and is very filling. I love going here during my breaks at school. The only downside is that this place is very expensive for what it is so I can’t get it all the time and have to choose a cheaper option. The bowls are around $ 7.50 I believe which is crazy.

It’s the Juice It Up trailer by the library and what I’ve come to realize as the alley way of vending machines. The workers are slow… not the process of making a smoothie beverage… but just straight up being slow from taking an order to getting it made. And they were out of Passion Delight. What is my tuition going to, exactly? How do you run out of plain yogurt at 9:30AM on a Tuesday morning? Hike over to the TSU and get some more!

If you have not been by to see the place you need to! When we set out to design this pilot store for Juice It up we were motivated to continue the long legacy that both JIU and CSUF have had for excellence and at the same time were single minded to make sure to put the fun back into frozen yogurt!
The trend in the past years in self serve yogurt shop design had in our opinion lead to a product that was confused… a mixture of a high end high tech sushi restaurant vibe meets a modern slick Italian bathroom! and that wasn’t what we set out to once again end up with.
