Good quality Phở, very hot broth nice portions. It is in a rundown shopping center, but they make it work by providing good service and quality product. Perfect on a cold day!

Phở lover was BOMB. It is a mom and pop shop so you know their food is as good as a home made bowl of phở could be. I always get the special, since I like the tendon and all the other stuff. Very nice people, and they were always there when we needed something. Very easy to split the bill as well, so it’s very convenient. Would definitely recommend to any students living nearby if they’re missing that sweet Vietnamese home-cooked meal.

My boyfriend and I both attend Cal State Fullerton and we eat lunch here a couple times a week on average. We order the same thing every time and can never get enough of it. We both get phở and we share spring rolls. I get a Thai ice tea and Daniel gets a Coke. Their limes are very fresh! The young girl is very sweet and has our order down. We love contributing to this small business and recommend it to many.

This place is my go to place for Phở. I’m usually there at least once a week. It never really gets busy, but it is in the corner of the small shopping center its in. Don’t let the lack of people inside deter you from trying it out. The flavor of the soup is great. The quality of the food and portions is, also, good. Customer service is fantastic, as well.

Good customer service but that is the only positive thing I can say. We had the chicken phở. The phở was very bland and the chicken was very fatty and not very edible. We also had the egg rolls that again were bland and we had to douse with sauce. When in a mood for phở would not recommend this place.

This is where phở flavor is great, a little on the sweet side but only a tiny bit, it goes with tender meat and tendon on top. Ox tail is option to go for. There is no MSG that dries your moth like other phở. I love it and think you will too.

Kind of mediocre phở, I rather eat phở somewhere else! Service was alright, wasn’t as good as if I were Asian but you know that’s like every other phở place

Typically, I am very picky with my phở. Phở Lover is actually pretty good. The soup tasted fresh and a nice sweet taste to it. Not your typical sugar sweet, but more of a pleasant real beef boiled vs artificial ingredient tasting. I had the brisket Phở and generally, it’s a lot of gross veins comes with it. But at Phở Lover, the meat is super lean. The price was decent, not inexpensive nor too expensive, for what you get, I think it’s fair. Customer Service was also decent, not exceptional, but not bad either. In other words, you won’t get a bubbly employee ask and greet you on how your day went. But they will answer what you ask of them. Kinda robotic if you know what I mean. But I’m cool with that, just that most places go above and beyond for Customer Service these days. The place was clean, not dirty, but wasn’t immaculate. Tips: They got this amazing spicy homemade chilli oils upon request. I would come here just for that alone. Quality: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 4⁄5 Customer Service: 3⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Quantity: 3⁄5

Down the street from my house! There wasn’t any service, the server asked me if I was ready to order and that was the last I had heard out of her. Phở was great though so it made up for it!

I got the chicken, beef, and shrimp fried rice. It was slightly below average. None of the ingredients seemed fresh, and they only put two shrimps. Nothing memorable, won’t be coming back.

The battle for Phở is tough, and Phở Lover is not up to par to the competition! The selection is very typical and the restaurant itself in its entirety, is very typical. With the plain décor, and regular phở selection in general, the restaurant is very OK… The quality of the food is not outstanding, not so great… Not so fantastic. Prices are very typical… Definitely not the best place when there’s Ann’s Phở down the street. This is an easy oversight for those seeking the delicious silky smooth Vietnamese noodle dish. Phở Lover is just plain meh.

I have always been searching for good Phở Ap Chao in OC. So pretty much a review for this dish here. I feel like most restaurants that serve this dish only have it on their menu for variety. I’m always disappointed by loose, soggy noodle in a boring sauce that’s just bland or salty. The Phở noodles here are done right. They’re fried together into a densely packed pancake shape, almost like a big hash brown. Deliciously crispy around the border and chewy sauced up noodles in the middle. Done right. Then they throw the stir fry stuff on top. Pretty much the same as the crunchy egg noodle version, but not. The sauce isn’t SPECTACULAR, but definitely on point for taste. I now know where I’m going when I want Phở Ap Chao. Maybe try some other things, too.

I must admit that phở isn’t something I eat on a daily basis. One of those things that you save for a rainy day, hungover from the night before or when you’re sick. But when I do decide to, this is my place to go. Located in a small plaza on the corner of Placentia and Nutwood, near jack in the box, there is always plenty of parking and easy access to the restaurant. Also located near CSUF.(for all you students out there) I’ve tried many different items off their menu and what I love most about it is that there are so many different types of items to choose from. As well as having Phở and other Vietnamese cuisines, they also have a variety of wraps to choose from as well.(In case phở isn’t what you’re in the mood for.) Yummy in my tummy: Spring Rolls are a must try. You can choose from shrimp, charbroiled pork or one with both the items in it as well. I believe you can also ask for tofu spring rolls as well. One of my favorite dishes is #100. Phở Ap Chao? I believe… if not, I know for sure I got the number right! haha! Shrimp, chicken and beef mixed with a variety of vegetables over pan-fried rice noodles. What I love about it is that it’s a nice blend of texture. You have the soft vegetables with the crispy noodles that help balance it out. Unlike some places… the noodles do come out crispy which is what I love about it! So definitely give it a try if you think this is something you might enjoy, you won’t regret it! Their Vermicelli is a must try as well. Plenty of vegetables in it as well as a good combination of meat as well. Worth trying as well. and of course… their Phở. There are many different types and from what I know they all taste pretty good! They also have a huge variety of drinks. Their milk tea is awesome and you can also get boba with that. Thai iced tea, freshly squeezed lime juice, ice coffee, sierra mist with lychee, root beer float and the list goes on. All delicious and worth trying. If teas and coffee isn’t your thing, try a smoothie as well. Sweet desserts are also available to clean your palette after a good meal. Another plus to this restaurant is their service, nothing is worse than walking into a restaurant and their service isn’t on point. Friendly waiters, waitresses are always that are quick on their service makes me want to come back. Price is also very affordable so it’s a good spot to hit up for students as well. For all you sports fanatics… there’s always a tv there playing sports so you don’t even have to worry about missing a game while enjoying your meal. All in all, good food and great service… Get yo Phở on people! :) Happy eating!

Awesomeeee place. My friends and I like coming here because of the location, easy parking and expansive menu. It is real close to CSUF so you get the student crowd and along with the locals. It is located about only 2 mins from the freeway. I always see the place with tables going and people ordering take out. The place is always clean and well kept from what I have seen. Parking is easy because of the lot right out front. This is always a big deal to me because being in the heart of LA parking could be quite a mess.
I love the menu here. They have your phở, vermicelli and rice dishes but also unique stuff like homemade chicken wings. I typically opt for the bun thit nuong cha gio(I think that’s how you spell it all). It is the vermicelli with pork and egg rolls. My friends get all sorts of stuff from the menu and it doesn’t disappoint. Ask for the picture book menu if you need help deciding. They even got Vietnamese desserts; traditional and modern ones. They have the tasty 3 color dessert(Che ba mau) to a drink with sprite and lychee… sprite and lychee people! Amazing combination haha. Overall great food, convenient location, quick and friendly service keep me and my friends coming back.

Coming back from Disneyland, my gf suggested this place. One thing I gotta say is that their vermicelli is the bomb! ESP that pork was delicious! Gf had the phở! Which was also amazing. Broth was very rich. Other than the food, the service was great! Paid attention to every detail and got to watch the packers game!

The barest of Vietnamese restaurants; food is adequate but completely lacking in character. This place is not a budget meal, nor does it win on tastes. It wins on the fact that it exists, near CSUF and it’s Viet food. Pros: It exists & appears reasonably clean Cons: Food & service Vietnamese restaurants are known for carrying a wide variety of dishes and Phở Lover is no exception so one is not limited to phở dishes only. I had their spicy chicken wings and rice, to which the chicken was not spicy or very Vietnamese flavored in my opinion. It was slathered in a gooey sauce that its definitively ethnic, but from where??? They had a special on this day, which customers would get a free soda if they ordered this meal, to which the server never offered us the soda. We noticed the sign after paying and he was willing to give us one after pointing it out but by then, the meal was done. Would I return? I have no plans to.

I’m gonna have to dock a star for Phở Lover. The last few times I came here, I wasn’t totally happy with my phở. The broth seems to be getting saltier and isn’t as tasty as before. And the last two times, the rice noodles were all stuck together and would break. Sadly, I think they’ve become sloppy with the treatment of noodles and it’s annoying. I think I’ll be trying other places for now…
