Like every business, this too has its pros and cons. Pros: Great, friendly staff. Ive been coming here for a while and have met people that provide great customer service. Marcos is a great«Manager»(in quotations because he doesnt believe in labels). Colin also takes very good care of the customers during his shift. Rey, the coal guy, is always smiling and that makes a big difference on a customer. Hookah, the reason why we come here, is great! Ive been to many hookah lounges, including some«top of the line» ones in the LA area, but I must say that this is the best, and most consistent hookah lounge I have ever been to. Cons: Bathrooms. The worst part of this place is the bathroom. My friends have told me that the women’s restroom is missing paper towels most of the time. Same goes for the men’s restroom. Also, the area around the sink is always soaking wet. the next worse thing about this place are the pool tables. theyre ripped in certain areas and it just kills the vibe of the game. Along with that, the sticks are always broken. I dont blame management for that though. I have seen people«trying to play» that keep dropping the sticks and just tend to break them. Other than those two issues, everything else is pretty good.

Place always has room and the price of the hookah is really affordable and it is really good compared to all the other places. I usually go not at the peak hours and it’s good. And FREEPOOL

I’ve been to many hookah bars over the years. I’ve smoked many different brands of tobacco, and yes, Starbuzz is on top of my list, but not the Fullerton location. First of all, there is «construction» going on while the lounge is open. I’ve been coming here for a while, but for the last 8 months, it’s been dead. For the first time today, there are about 8 parties here, so it’s «packed» for them. Since it’s «so packed,» they need to rearrange the sofas and chairs to make room. Keep in mind that there is room for about 50 parties in here, so arranging is not necessary. The employees are moving tables, couches, and chairs while customers are walking around. This can be done when the lounge is closed, or before it is opened. Also, the manager bugs you about ordering a hookah, which is okay because business is business, but when the 3 most popular flavors are not available, they need to lay off a little. But more importantly, the main reason for this review is the bathroom. For the past 1 month, there has been NO toilet seat paper in both, the men and women, bathrooms. That’s just disgusting. And don’t get me started on the coal service. That’ll take me a extra review. Find another hookah bar.

The hookahs are amazing and if u r able to get there during their happy hour the price is amazing it’s only $ 5 a hookah and their staff is very friendly with a large space. They have great music and I’ve really enjoyed my experience there.

Huge venue. Music is a bit loud. Hookahs were good and rotation of coals was good. There’s also free pool so a great spot to go to chill and smoke.

Starbuzz is definitely a diamond in the rough. First off, when you step in, the management is fantastic. The manager herself(didn’t grab her name!) comes to greet you and make you feel welcome and at home, which is where we typically do our hookah. So we sat down and realized that this was a steal. An applehead for just $ 15, so we went for the luxury apple flavor and it was really really fantastic. The flavor was INSANE! We’re used to Irvine prices, so $ 15 is great. In addition, the overall ambiance is relaxed, a bit more ‘lounge-like’ than we’re used to, but it’s still comfy and the deals are unbeatable. Happy hour is just $ 5, and $ 10 for hookah + refills I believe. Honestly, the manager is sweet, she really takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable and ensures a good experience.

Worst place to come ever! Management is a joke. All the employees do not know what they are doing. Hookah did not work at all, all night and they still charged us full price. One employee was swearing and even insulting me. This place really needs to be shut down. Do not come here and expect to play billiards because they only got 2 tables; which are the worst tables I ever seen. DONOTCOMEHERE!!!

NEWMANAGEMENTSUCKS!!! I’ve been coming to this place at least once every month. Sign says no outside food or drink(even though people have brought in those things forever). Was told to throw out my drink even though there was outside food RIGHTINFRONTOFME from other patrons. Was told they are liniment on the food but no outside drinks. HEYHYPOCRITES, Enforce the rules to EVERYONE if that’s what you’re trying to do here. Music on the tv is from YouTube. Classy *rolls eyes*. Last time here.

Great place to hang with a few friends or a group. Love how there are a bunch of TVs playing music videos with dope music. Great place. 10⁄10 would recommend.

Since my last review on Starbuzz they decided to once again, change their management. We would always have an incredible experience with the crew from the past year or so, but in a flash, they where ALLGONE. Carlos and Sam where prestine with their customer service skills and always making people feel welcome, The last three visits where nothing but uneducated(on hookah) shy people seating customers, taking orders, and changing coals. They keep it to the basics with their new crew, no outstanding experinece, or asking how the evening is going. On top of it, they must have changed their coals or something, because the entire building is hard to breathe in(more so than a general hookah lounge), and the tobacco loses its flavor quickly. I noticed a huge change when the new management took over, and if they could leave things like Happy Hour and quality alone, they will do much better.

Last time i went there not only did they drop a hot coal in my friends shoe they moved us around about 3 times because there was a larger lady there who couldnt fit in a chair and had to be on a couch, we got moved to the«vip» section where everyone knew eachother and a girl had ended up complaining that we were sitting in «their» spot so they moved us again, after that we were so done we decided to leave. I had told the manager the service really wasn’t that great and i told him i really didnt want to pay for such crappy service and he decided to «generously» give me and my friend a 10% discount! Ive never stepped foot in the place again and not recommending it to anyone i know. Too many clicks and people who know eachother it makes you feel unwelcome and like you’re stepping on toes! Twilight is so much better!

I can flat out state that even though the only problem when Khaled was there was the Guest Wireless not working properly; he was by far the best manager at this location. He made people feel welcome, he packed the best heads and HEACTUALLYKNEWHOWTOFIXYOURHOOKAH! I’ve worked with hookah for a long time, and although I already know how to fix my own… I always let the employee do it; not only because I’m a customer but just to see how they do it and either retain something new or just be amazed by how shitty there knowledge of hookah is. Never hire people till they truly show you their work ethic and what they really know about hookah… not just a couple flavors and how to smoke it. There’s more too everything with anything. Starbuzz Hookah Lounge was the spot on Friday’s and Saturdays, always poppin, good people, pool tables, TVs, DJ xplicit — DJ SpecialFX are the homies; but I can’t just go for the entertainment if I’m going to pay for(excuse my language) a shitty hookah. I’m being disrespectful if I say this so I won’t state their name, but I go to a place in Anaheim where the hookah will last me 2+ hours of continuous smoke and flavor, and although the ambiance isn’t as young and entertaining like I said about Starbuzz; at least I’m spending my cash where it’s worth giving my money to.

This place has been really run down compared to a few years ago. The crowds have shrunk and the service is not as attentive. Tried ordering few different mixes off the menu to find out they no longer have them. Then tried to order food off their menus while waiting to find a new mix and to find out they don’t have their food license. Change the menus then please!

I was extremly impressed by how the service has improved from a few years back. I use to attend CSUF. I met a friend from my college days here a couple weeks back. We were hesitant to give this place another chance bc previously we had the absolute worst service… I’m glad we did though. This time around the service was on point. They go around and check on everyone enough but not too much where it obnoxious. Its fairly easy to flag someone down when necessary. The hookah hits nice. The coal service was on point. The music was loud but if you are with only one other person its fine. I don’t smoke hookah often but I will most likely drop in again from time to time.

I live around the area and have gone to school near here so im very familiar with this place. With that being said, I haven’t come here in a very long time until today because it was close and I didn’t feel like going anywhere further. The last time I was here the employees were horrible. For example, playing pool, hookah-ing with their friends, never came by to ask if we needed anything, we waited twice to get new coal cause the coals were legitimately dead. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they got new management. There was only one guy who was the new guy in charge and I appreciated his customer service. He seats you right away, attentive to your hookah condition consistently, and wasn’t shy to see if you needed anything else. Environment: Dark/dim lighting(it is a hookah lounge) Big room with couches along the walls and tables in the middle. They have two pool tables. Bumping club hopper music! Bathrooms are clean and they redid them since the last time I came here! Tvs all along the walls so you can see whatever’s on wherever you sit. Prices: Hookahs are $ 16. It’s one hookah per two people. If you don’t want to get a hookah you pay a $ 10 sitting fee. (Might as well get the second hookah) Refills are $ 8. They have a lot of flavors! I’m pretty sure they have all starbuzz flavors since they’re called starbuzz. Lol Happy hour is from 5 – 8 every day. They have special events throughout the week: Movie Monday College Tuesday(discount for students) Live music on Fri and Sat at 10pm They have food but it’s very minimal, haven’t tried it but it looks reasonable. They don’t have kitchen people until later in the evening.(Not sure what time) Menu consists of: Quesadillas, a chicken sandwich, garlic cheese bread, hummus, chips and salsa, choco buzz where you can add ice cream for $ 1. They also have shakes, hot beverages, and cold drinks that include energy drinks, iced coffee, and Gatorade! (Love their drink options) The head guy told me I could bring food from somewhere else ! I would still ask ahead though! This place gets pretty packed because it is next to a college but definitely not a bad place to hang out !

I’m giving the one star because the bouncer outside is super sweet and the servers were at least friendly… when they came around. My first impression was how shocked I was to be coming into the bar and seeing almost no one there. on a Friday night. With no one there besides my group of three and 3 other small groups, you’d think the staff would had checked on us at least twice. Nah didn’t happen. Not to mention, it rubbed me the wrong way to see the servers sitting with their group of friends and smoking the whole night instead of doing their jobs. A sitting fee? Seriously? A sign in sheet with age, school, and birthday? Okaaaay… No frost tips? And on to the hookah… I give it a C. The strawberry margarita was good at first, but lost its flavor quickly. Don’t waste your time with cactus cooler, it got harsh super fast and tasted like ass after a while haha. I’ve been to starbuzz twice. I wasn’t impressed the first time, and definitely wasn’t impressed the second and will not to come back. Ever.
