The service was great, the price was very reasonable. Had our written results within 10 days. The hardest part was holding your breath. Very good assessment of your organs.

I’ve been worried about my heart for a while. My cholesterol and inflammation markers from my bloodwork is fine. But, I drink more beer and eat more fried food and red meat than I feel I probably should. There’s a history of cardiovascular disease in my family and with the recent heart attack of Tony Soprano (actor James Gandolfini) it made me think I needed to get a better picture of how my heart is. So, I decided to get a cardiac calcium score test. This test is considered a good indicator if there’s Coronary Artery Disease or plaque buildup in the blood vessels to the heart.
I googled «calcium score» for my area and I found Superior Body Scan. I was pleased with the reasonable cost of $ 150 for the heart CT scan/​cardiac calcium scoring test. So I called to make an appointment and I was able to get one for the next morning.
The clinic was very efficient because they called me the evening before and the morning of to remind me of my scan.
I have to admit that when I arrived I was a bit apprehensive because the building and office seemed a bit dour looking. Other than that the appearance of the facility I thought the staff was attentive and friendly and my overall experience was good. The scan took about 10 minutes and the CT Scan manager, Kat, was very helpful and reassuring. She gave me a thumbs up and told me that I had very clean looking arteries around my heart. It really brought me peace of mind and relieved much of the stress that I may have some cardiovascular issues to dealt with. I now realize things are fine and I feel awesome!
I’d recommend people who are concerned about issues which may or may not show up on their traditional lab work to check Superior Body Scan out. They are very reasonable and the peace of mind of knowing what lurks (or doesn’t lurk) inside our body is PRICELESS!
