Food was good, area was clean, parking is easy, service was slow. Nice people though.

We came here twice with my two little boys. The first time was great and I was ready to become a regular. After the second visit, we won’t be going back. They served my boy spoiled milk in his kid’s cup. But we were more shocked by the reaction we got when we told the server who said, «Oh, I’ll get you another one.» and walked away as if I had just told her I dropped my fork on the ground. A different server brought us the new milk saying sorry, but by that time we decided never to come back. We almost just got up and left. Other than that, the food is good and servers are friendly, but the nonchalant, «Oh, I’ll get you another one» to the spoiled milk in my kid’s cup dropped an almost 5-star rating to a 2.

I promise you you you will not go wrong by trying this place out. Right now they are open for breakfast and lunch but are hoping to expand to dinner soon The view is spectacular bring your kids they will watch the airplanes landing and taking off while having something to eat. The décor is very is very aeronautical, light fresh and something to see with every turn of your head. The menu, and prices are very reasonable. You can bring the family for breakfast or lunch and it would not be any more than taking them to Dennys. If you have a love for airplanes or your kids have that inquisitive nature then you will love this place. If you just want a place to have a great breakfast and play with the knobs and buttons at your table you will enjoy it. Don’t be in a rush, enjoy your time.

Traditional breakfast spot with a cute atmosphere. My sis and I came in to check it out and we loved it! Definitely coming back, our server was super sweet too.

The airport theme is fun & being at an actual airport adds to the experience. Kids & aviation enthusiasts will really enjoy all the cool details. We went around 1:00 on Sunday, Jan. 3 so for a weekend it wasn’t as crazy busy as I read in previous reviews. Everyone was still out of town. Food is very good. We went with a Double Cheeseburger with Chili & the Club Sandwich. Price-wise you get more for the money with the burger & the meat was fresh tasting. My club tasted nicely homemade but Huf’s in Long Beach offers a bigger, more satisfying sandwich but then again the building isn’t located on a runway(as my boyfriend reminded me) so you pay a few bucks extra for that. The homemade fries were addicting, the cole slaw was creamy good & the coffee was quite delicious. Next time we’ll go with the breakfast choices. They looked really good. Service was efficient & friendly. So all in all, Wings Café deserves a return visit.

Reyna was a great waitress and the food was good too. Great classic breakfasts with a nice view of the airport. You can plug headphones in to listen to the Tower. USB ports for charging devices is a plus.

Been there 2 times and very good both times. the airplane décor is authentic. Staff, and owners, are great I ordered the banana and pecan waffle but they were all out of fruit. Nevertheless, an excellent waffle along with lots of coffee.

We went on a very bad day! Why was it bad? The windows had a thick layer of wet dew that the restaurant owners were not able to go outside and squeegee off. So the part I wanted my kids to get excited for was a no go. What did they get excited for? The little creamers and jams that was on the table. Oh kids! I think the breakfast pricing was a little high and portions were adequate. The breakfast tasted pretty good, not bad but I wouldn’t say OMG delicious. But I do have to say I am fan of their hash browns. It was really crispy and tender on the bottom. I would say, do not order items individually or sides of anything b/c it gets pricey. If anything, always just get the combo. One thing great about the $ 5.99 kids menu pick 3, I can order breakfast or lunch items. So yay for that! The kids split 2 kids meal, chicken tenders, french toast and hash browns. They ate like 90% of it. I liked how everything looked clean and slick.

Had high hopes for Wings Café as it is a really cute place… they really made an effort on the décor w the cute tin roof and fun runway floor lighting but unfortunately, the food was a bit of a let down. I had the bacon cheeseburger and the patty was definitely from one of those bags of frozen patties you buy at the grocery store and severely lacking in any seasoning or flavor. My side, the mac salad was also disappointing and also tasted store bought w a distinct preservative taste. It made me wonder if they make anything on premise? The one item that looked most appetizing and that my friend said was pretty good was the club sandwich. It definitely brought out some dish-envy in me after tasting my burger. :-/ The service was friendly and attentive, but they got three out of five orders mixed up – although to their credit they did make it right quickly when we brought it to their attention. On a good note, parking was plentiful which is nice and it is a very convenient location for anyone doing business at Fullerton airport. However, I think they need to step up their game a bit in regards to the food as the place definitely has potential, and they put so much effort into making it a fun cute place when it was redone.

What a nice restaurant and it’s in an airport. Okay, it’s Fullerton Airport, but still. lol The airport theme is fantastic. Specially for kids. When you open the door, you are on a illuminated runway. Very cool. Get a booth by the window to see the airplanes take off. They even have cockpit instruments the little ones will be happy to play with at each booth. Awesome. Yes, I played with them too. lol. The food? It was good! Here’s the rundown: Chicken Fried Steak w/2 Eggs(sunny side up) & Toast. Delicious! The chicken fried steak was smaller than what I’m used to seeing, but it was on point and what it lacked in quantity, they certainly made up for in quality. The gravy was very good. My sunny side up eggs were over cooked, but it was okay. My order came with sourdough toast which was buttered, they were very good. Waffles w/2 Eggs(over easy) &2 Sausage. The waffles were Super YUM! This definitely didn’t come from a frozen box. A little sweet and perfectly made. The over easy eggs were perfect(over easy for me next time, lol). The sausage was a winner as well. Kid’s Meal was pick 3 items from a list. My brat picked Pancakes, Bacon & Hash Browns. The pancake was in the shape of Mickey Mouse, that was a hit for my son. The taste was really good as well. Bacon was crispy and my son devoured that one and asked for a second one. lol. Hash browns were just okay. Service was hit or miss. But it was due to one of the waitress calling in sick. They were definitely short handed that day. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for the waitress just to get our order after being seated and the food took another 15 to 20 minutes to come out(that’s after waiting 20 plus minutes in the lobby for a booth), but we didn’t mind, my son was so busy looking at all the planes. I got my coffee and was refilled frequently, but my wife’s water was MIA, it took the third trip by our waitress to bring it. Price was reasonable. Almost everything was under $ 10. Parking is on the small side and it might be an issue during the weekend. We snag the last spot(Saturday Morning at 8:30 am) Tip: This is a great place for kids, so if you don’t like little rag rats screaming or crying, pass on this one. Because my kid and all his little rascal friends are going to be kids =) Just say… My son could not stop talking about that place we had breakfast that had planes all day(and the next and the next) I guess we will be going back to WINGS Café! Oh, the food was good too, definitely worth a visit =) 2015 Review #174

Grandparents brought me here for my first time. They rave about the breakfast and we came for lunch. I had pastrami melt with fries(mainly because they offer potato chips, but to my disappointment they’re only ruffles and not homemade). The rye I got it on was good and flavorful. That was the best part aside from the pickles. The fries looked like in N out style… But. Sadly they were limp, almost cold, and oily. Not what I was hoping for. No crunch, no salt, no flavor. The pastrami had no flavor, and way too much mustard. I really wouldn’t recommend this place… which is sad. The staff is really nice and seem so eager to see you smile… Yet the food is absolutely disappointing.

I had great time here with the family! I cans definitely see us coming here often for breakfast on the weekend. We arrived at about 8:30 on a Sunday and we only had to wait for about 5 minutes. We got a table right next to the glass so the kids were able to see the planes very well. There was a plane either landing or taking off every few minutes. Quick enough that the two year old never lost interest. As a bonus you get a really good shot of the trains passing by as well! As far as the food goes I have no complaints. The kids ate all of their food happily and the hubby both enjoyed our breakfast as well! Planning a return trip soon!

Love the Clubhouse Sandwich, add avocado. Great to go. Breakfast here is awesome too. For Honolulu transplants, they have Longboard on tap! Killer. BTW Gina is a great waitress here. Very attentive and anxious to please, smile! Stop by when you’re in the neighborhood of when you’re flying in/out. You won’t be disappointed. Aloha!

I don’t understand having 10 people waiting in the lobby while 6 tables were clean and available for immediate seating. I don’t understand seating 5 full size adults into a booth designed to seat four, while the large round table was clean and available. I would have walked out, but after musical chairs, the party was«reluctantly» relocated to the round table. Food is a little above average(two visits for breakfast), but not outstanding. I will give them a little more time to get it together. With the prices, I would expect a little higher quality. Had French Toast, nothing special. Omelets were tasty. Portion sizes are perfect, from what I could see being served, full plates, that is a plus. Staff is inconsistent with demeanor, most nice, some with an attitude and that is unacceptable. News flash, the owners depend on you to greet each and every customer and treat them with respect. If you cannot embrace that concept, take a hike. Customers pay the bills, not you. Met the owner, exceptionally nice gentleman who put a lot of sweat equity into this establishment. To you sir, you have to manage your establishment with a warm heart and iron fist. You want to develop a solid and loyal customer base and that will happen based on Excellent food, Excellent Service and Cheerful employees. Otherwise, the novelty will wear off and you will be disappointed. Keep your eye on everything, make sure each and every dish is perfect as possible, your recipes are excellent, no shortcuts on taste and quality. One last thing, major kudos to your table cleaner and greeter. This gentleman is outstanding, provides a warm welcome and is non-stop hustle. I think he has real management potential, do not discount him.

Ate here for the first time today. Loved it! Firstly the décor is incredible. If you’re an aviation buff like me you’ll truly enjoy it. Even if you’re not, I doubt you won’t be impressed. Can’t wait to bring my little girl. I sat in the window section, which essentially is almost like a greenhouse jutting out into the taxiway adjacent to the tie downs(plane parking). Watched dozens of planes come and go. Helicopters too. Airport operations… You can watch it all. More importantly, the food is good! Again, only ate here once so far but I was quite happy with my breakfast. My only possible complaint is that I felt the portion size of my chicken fried steak was maybe a tad on the small side, but I’m a fat American, and we eat to much anyways. Maybe it was a good thing? I thought the pricing was fair. Perhaps a couple dollars more than a comparable meal at Kimmie’s, but more than worth it for the live entertainment happening out the window. Lastly, the service was great. To be honest, I’m not quite sure who my actual server was as EVERYONE who was working helped out. Definitely found my new favorite breakfast spot in Fullerton.

What a fun spot. Wings has reopened. The décor is cool but so’s the food. Service was attentive too. The owners are present. That always improves things because they care. The breakfast items looked really good. I’ll have to return and try it. I quite enjoyed the chili size. It’s also fun to watch the aircraft. This place is immediately adjacent to the runway at Fullerton Airport. I recommend Wings. Good good excellent service. Fair prices. Nothing wrong with that. Let’s support this business so they’ll stay in business.

Stopped here for breakfast with some friends on a quiet Wednesday morning. The parking lot was only half full and there was no waiting for a table — not sure whether this was a good thing or bad. First impressions of the café left me further apprehensive — the view of the airport runway and apron along with the aviation-themed décor was so outstanding I automatically assumed that this was just another gimmicky restaurant; exceptional atmosphere and second-rate food. It is truly a must-see destination for any pilot or aviation enthusiast. Everyone else… just come for the excellent food, terrific service, and reasonable prices. We were seated immediately and provided menus. Drink orders were taken and promptly delivered. The staff gave us a reasonable amount of time to peruse the menu and were most helpful answering questions about how certain dishes were prepared. The food was delivered soon after taking our food orders. Moreover, the server was quick to advise that the second portion of some meals would be served momentarily — no need to worry that perhaps they’d forgotten our glass of orange juice or biscuit with gravy. At our table, we had orders for chili cheese omelette, eggs Benedict, and French toast with eggs on the side. All of the meals were first-rate. Grandpa hit it right on the mark for his chili cheese omelette recipe, the French toast was prepared using the optimal thickness of sourdough bread, and the Hollandaise sauce was superb. Our server was very thoroughly attentive throughout the meal, was quick with refills, and did not try and rush us after we finished our meal and sat captivated by the view out the window of the various airport activities. As we were leaving, we took the opportunity to look over some of the aircraft paraphernalia that had been re-purposed for the restaurant and were impressed by the attention to detail as well as the quality of furnishings and the lighting options. We chatted briefly with the manager, who encouraged us to return at night when the restaurant takes on a totally different vibe and is much more a cocktail bar than café. I predict that KFUL may soon outstrip KCNO as a pilot destination for those infamous $ 100 hamburger flights in southern California. Of course, with avgas at around six bucks per gallon, that hamburger probably costs more like $ 250 these days.

So glad this establishment is here. The new incarnation is great. The décor is perfectly themed and there’s a pretty good selection of food, even for the youngest of pilots. I was told that the instrument panels would be functional with lights and sound in the next few weeks, which will add a bit more to the place. The lobby is a bit too sparse and could use some additional seating for waiting. The staff is great, and we even met the proprietor on our visit. They’re all really professional. I’d like to see more variety in the video loop playing on the monitors(The Aviator, The Rocketeer, and other movies, more than just Discovery Channel specials). But if that’s the only downside, this new café is off to a great start. And, you can’t really beat the view. On the day we visited, the airport was a little slow-two landings and two helicopters-but my son loved it. A great new place to spend an meal.

So kiss me and smile for me. Tell me that you’ll wait for me. Hold me like you’ll never let me go. ‘Cause I’m leavin’ on a jet plane. Don’t know when I’ll be back again. Oh babe, I hate to go… Sorry, I couldn’t help it. The family and I went here for breakfast this morning. Truth be told, going to a new restaurant I don’t have high expectations. I expect that there will be kinks here and there and I understand that. Based upon a few negative reviews about Wings Café thus far, I can tell others do not share that understanding. I like the décor of the place. It is very modern and kids seem to like it. A BIG change from the Flyers Diner that used to be there. Nice to have a restaurant at an airport that has a real airplane theme. They have tables made out of airplane wings and instrument panels used as condiment holders on the tables in the smaller dining room. TVs are showing airplane themed movies as well. Unfortunately, they weren’t showing Airplane. The food is classic comfort food. I had the chicken fried steak. The best part is that the hash browns were nice and crispy. My eggs were cooked a perfect over medium. My wife had the eggs benedict. She said it was good and the poached eggs were almost perfect(still runny, but almost hard). The coffee was REALLY good. I took a gander at the lunch menu and want to try Wings for lunch next. Also, take note that they serve bottled beer. The service was good. A little chaotic at times in that it seemed like some of the servers weren’t sure who was covering which tables. However, like I said, I didn’t expect perfection and I know this issue will work itself out. I also think that if you go to wings with a party of more than 4, it can be a little difficult. The tables and restaurant aren’t designed for large group, only small gatherings. So if you are ever flying by the Fullerton Airport between 7a.m. and 2p.m., lower your landing gear and taxi into Wings Café.

I have been waiting patiently over 2 years for this spot to reopen as my 25 year business around the corner is close and convenient. Well we ate there today at a sort of grand opening. Here are some experiences and thoughts on this place and its new owners. First off I would give them 5 stars for all the money they threw into the place on the décor. Well we got there and it was crowded, sat in the lobby that was redone as well. I miss the Pilots lounge and the aerial map that would fascinate people who came in there as well as the bulletin board of aviation only stuff, mostly guys who have planes for sale, mechanics and aviation stuff. No big deal but not enough seating per floor space for the crowd they had. We finally got a seat and ordered food. I had eggs and corn beef hash my friend had eggs benedict and my other friend had a waffle with bananas and candied pecans. When I got my toast it was half toasted I asked for some other toast and sourdough, which I ordered but wasn’t and the owner snatched it and said, you could ask nicely… What? I thought I was being nice, I guess I didn’t say pretty please. My friends waffle was ordered with whip cream on it and then put the candied pecans and bananas on top, it came with no whip cream and the candied pecans were just pecans. Here’s where it gets good, my other friends eggs benedict had what looked and tasted like Nacho cheese on it, really. Well we started eating and then the materdei woman comes over, sits at our booth and then lectures us, hey give us a break, and I said well you’ve had over 2 years to get it right. And only 1 slice of toast, do you need to cut corners that close to make up the fortune you spent fixing up a diner that was perfect for 40 years and I frequented every week. Final word, the food is almost as good as anything you get at a Dennys or Norms. I’ll be going back to Kimmies on Commonwealth from now on. Maybe the new owners should have done a demographic survey of the area, in case your reading this here it is. Within 3 miles circling the airport the people to the west and south are 70% Mexican and 10% Korean, to the north and east they are 60% Korean and 20% Mexican. The rest are holdouts like me who still love the area. Bottom line if your going to make it here you need to cater to the locals who would go there during the week regularly not just the weekend curious, or a once a month open house. . Breakfast for 3 was $ 41+ tip and I had water as a drink. I don’t mind paying boutique prices, I do expect boutique food and service… This airport does not allow Jets to fly in or out but if you are in your Cessna 172 and getting hungry skip it and head to Flo’s at Chino Airport or as pilots call it CNO…
