Santander Bank – DUMBO

Welcome to Kafka Bank. Or maybe «Third World Bank». If you have any self respect or respect for your finances, stay clear of this place.
This sad excuse for a ‘bank’ stripped $ 2,000 out of my checking account without warning. Why? Because they decided to bounce a check that I had deposited 9 MONTHS prior.
I pelted them for answers as to why endless times. They refused to give me a clear explanation. In fact I think I got three conflicting answers.
Here is a «bank» in the priciest neighborhood in Brooklyn. They have only ONE ATM which is a Diebold piece of crap with a rickety numeric pad. There used to be two, but when one broke, their solution was to smack a piece of plywood over it. Good luck when the other one breaks down… often.
I highly recommend GhettoBank as a much finer alternative.
I’ll give this place one star for decent air conditioning in the lobby.
Oh — almost forgot. They close at 4pm. This is New York… Even banks in New Brunswick are open till 5pm.

I love this branch. They provide terrific customer service and keep the ATM area nice and clean.

Never get a loan through them worst company, two years and they can’t send a paper saying my loan is paid to DMV or me so I can sell it. I have spoke to 5 people & send countless information to them over and they still two years later have not sent dmv that I paid it or admitted any responsibility for not doing so.

I am a long time customer of this bank branch, since 2006 when they were Independence Bank, later bought out by Santander. I love the individual service I get and the personal care they have given me over the years.
They have all the advantages of a large bank, but the friendly feel of a smaller one. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help.
I use both their business banking and personal, and am satisfied with both.
